She was patient as we were looking for the right house over several months and cautioned us about making unreasonable offers when we fell too quickly for overpriced homes. The best part about working with Melisa was that she was always more focused on answering our questions, giving us good advice, and finding homes that met our needs than she was on closing a deal. I waited a bit to post this because I wanted to be sure it was fair. I found a Groupon 4 years ago…read morewhen I installed the sump pump and drain tile in the first half of my basement (as a public school teacher with 3 jobs, I could only afford half at that time). +1 star for discount!! The pump quit working; they said a lot of customers had that issue. They installed a new one w/out incident; +1 star for that. This spring, I decided to waterproof the remaining 2 walls. Before I could do that, the tile started leaking & the downspout they installed did too (see video). In sum, in the 4.5 years since this was installed: the pump had to be replaced; the drain tile is malfunctioning and letting in leaks; and the downspout came apart, allowing everything the pump ejects to sink back down into my basement. I emailed the contractor a specific question: when can someone come out to address these problems, regardless of whether or not I hired them to do the rest of the basement? Weeks passed and I got no definite answer. They were immediate in their response for a bid request; but inconsistent in responses to warranty issues. Was I able to go to Lowe's, buy a caulking gun and silicone, watch some Youtube videos, and eventually complete the repair myself? Yes. Should I have had to when my warranty covered the issue? I don't believe so. In the end, I chose to hire another (more expensive) company to do the rest of my waterproofing because I wanted a BBB-accredited company that would communicate reliably & follow through when needed.

When I reported the issue, I was told the chips had always been there and had simply been covered by the previous carpet. That explanation didn't make sense to me, particularly because there was glue residue present in areas where the tile was supposedly already chipped. While the owner made an offer to replace one tile, I was left feeling that the burden was placed on me to prove the damage occurred during installation. Whether you agree with their explanation or not, I would recommend thoroughly documenting and photographing any adjacent flooring before work begins. What started out as a good experience left me feeling somewhat sad and disappointed as if we, as the customer, did something wrong. Bummer.

Never prepped or sanded the walls painted right over dropped sand from the ceiling and blamed it on the $90/ gallon paint. Took 3 weeks to fix plumbing on sinks because he installed incorrectly. We had a contract for a complete bathroom remodel including a shower, painting, new lighting, and replace all faucets. We never did get a shower installed, after multiple attempts and excuses to obtain contractor discount. Texts shows he said his bathroom guy left and the shower we contracted for he had no one to finish it. After 2 months of excuses medical ( elbow, heart, kids... ect NO CALL, NO SHOWS.. we had enough and fired him. We had to resand and repaint most walls, replace and reinstall the exhaust fan (so loud and cheapest he could buy) we had to clean off all the dried paint on our new light fixtures and faucets. Pretty much redid the job we paid him to do. He told us he couldn't handle the job because of all the health things, not having staff, and just "life" But I know he's still out there ripping people off because he told the BBB in a rebuttal he never told us he was quitting his shady Azz business. YOU BEEN WARNED!
