DO NOOOOT RENT or BUY with GARCIA. Bunch an old houses and apartments with all kinds of issues and high prices. I got apartment 5 years ago... the condition of the apartment was unacceptable... I spent 3 days cleaning it. The closets and walls were completely ruined with cheap paint full dust, dog hair, grease and dirt. walls and closets were having humidity issues so I fixed and painted it to make it livable, the fired place was falling apart also I fixed. The apartment was a mess and my rent was pretty high but I made it for 5 years. After all that we decided to move out for the really bad condition of the building and i got a email from Sarah saying: "thanks for the effort and maintenance you did in the apartment but we won't process your deposit because you paint the walls dark" yes I did painting the 2 rooms dark for all the humidity and black water coming out of the walls... after 5 years putting my time and money to keeping that place together and clean all what i got was "thanks for the effort and we'll keep your deposit" what about if you guys pay me back for all the maintenance and effort I did for the last few years, all the water coming out of the walls ruining some of my clothes and furniture. 5 years when you guys never put one penny in the building or apartment. After I fixed all the issues they never fixed in 5 years they decided to keep the deposit because the color of the walls..... they expect me to live in the apartment with all the humidity and black water coming out from the walls for 5 years because they never fixed. read more

We have never lived in St Louis, so the idea of trying to find a house from the other side of the country was daunting. Doubly so in a city that is so defined by its neighborhoods. We knew we needed an agent that was intimately familiar with STL, so we reached out to Garcia Properties, a longstanding local agency, and they introduced us to Todd. Todd was a great fit for us, showing us around the city and helping us pinpoint where we really wanted to look. During our couple months of searching we communicated frequently and helped us figure out the kind of competitive bids necessary for the crazy real estate market right now. I don't think we ever went more than a day or two without hearing from him. Once we had an offer accepted Todd went above and beyond to ensure the inspections were complete, even catching a couple of issues the inspector missed. After we finished closing he continued to watch over our house until our we were able to move to STL.
