Horrible..... Waste of money, they make it sound like they are a realtor but really they give you a list that is 3/4 unavailable and only 1 or 2 listing that you are even remotely interested in... Its a SCAM... these people have NO customer service and for almost $100.. I make sure to tell everyone NOT to go here.. I only yelp about places I passionately feel about, all are good but this one is bad. One last thing.. We found 10 places that day by our self and found a place that day WITHOUT their help.. Terrible. $85 for them to hit print and hand you a piece of paper that doesn't even meet your specifications and they don't even guarantee the houses are available. Do not use. THIS IS A SCAM! They are a sales team that gets your money and then doesn't care. They offer a money back guarantee that is a lie. I went in because we needed a place fairly quickly. The guy I spoke with made up lies that they worked with landlords to avoid app fees and would get me looking at places that day. When in the office we got a rehearsed sales pitch and no help other than a list on properties that were all also on willow amd craigslist. When I asked about the money back guarantee the guy said to give them 30 days to see how it goes. Then after 30 day I called and they dsaid to me was to read my contract. Rent Source is a scam. They offer no services. They do not offer any listings which aren't already available for free on Craigslist, Zillow, or HotPads. Please do not waste your money trying to go through them to find housing. They post fake ads on Craigslist, which are recognizable by the ad having no photos, having a group of random letters at the end of it, and telling interested parties to leave a message if they don't answer. They use men and women's names as the "contact." They also typically lack actual information on the property and just give vague descriptions with a bunch of catchy adjectives. read more

As a landlord, I suggest you obtain rental information from social serve.com, local, free, newspapers, County journals, websites, etc. I don't recommend Rent Source. They develop and give you a listing consisting of rentals you can find FREE. Rent Source telephone landlords, from various media outlets, to get approval and list their rental(s); deferring a cost to you. Save the $85-$100 charge from Rent Source and apply it to the application process when you find your spot. Do the search yourself. GOOD LUCK! read more

I used rent source on 2 occasions and both times found a rental property to get moved into despite my credit issues. I honestly don't understand why people have so much trouble with the understanding that those properties that are advertised on zillow, craigslist rentals.com ect. are postings that they put online. on several occasions during my search I referenced some of those ads online and found that they were real rental properties and available, in fact I simply wrote down the code and entered in the code after loging into my account under ad id lookup and it pulls up the properties. Obviously you have some people out here that dont take the time to ask questions in the office or have a clear understanding of what rentsource does. I plan to use rent source anytime i move because it allows me to look around and find good deals, saved me time on the phone to see if the property was right for me and had what i was looking for ect. because the listings I received tells me everything that I needed to know about the property. read more

I would recommend that you seek other avenues for rental properties; rent source is not a customer friendly agency. They charge a service fee of $90 which allows you access to rent listings. They do not assist with gathering more information about the properties, they do not set up showings for you, and they do not assist you with any other needs once you get the rent listing. Also, they assured me before signing the contract that my money would be refunded if their services did not assist me in obtaining housing through them. I used rent source for over two months, and many listings they provided (at least 80%) were also accessible by other means : trulia, zillow, rentdigs, craigslist, etc. I have since found an apartment through means of my own and signed a contract with this complex, and yet rent source claims that they will not refund my service charge because they do not refund service charges if you find housing through another source or decide not to move at all. Once you pay them the service fee you are on your own and they will not assist you with anything else. Rent source merely provides you a list of rental properties, which you could find by your own means for free. I would never recommend rent source to anyone. This place is HORRIBLE!!! they took my daughter for her money, and when I asked them if they had listings more than what i had in my hand they said YES WE DO, especially in the area that we are looking for. She paid the money they printed out a sheet and there were only two other listings on there that i did not have on my own list that i put together on paper, and the reason why they were on their list and not mine was because THEY WERE ALREADY RENTED 4 MONTHS AGO, and the landlord said that they told them 4 months ago to take them off. and Since it was rented that is why it was not on the list I already put together. I called to get the money back and they gave you a different number to call and pretty much drove you in circles till you realized you were not getting your money back. These people should be ashamed of taking peoples money and screwing them. all they are doing is giving you lists that they print off of craigs list. I also am a property manager for two different property companies and I would not refer my worst tenant to them and definitely will not ever put any of my Rental Houses on their list. The only reason i went to check them out with my daughter was because she needed an apartment and not a house, all i have is houses and i figured they would have a better connection than myself as far as apartments, but apparently i was wrong. read more
