I took my daughter to this Spirit location yesterday against my better judgment. Before paying, she…read morepurchased her costume and was told we had until Friday to bring it back for a full refund. No problem. The costume didn't fit her, and she did not like it after she tried it on. Since my daughter did not want anything else in the store yesterday, I decided to take it back today for a refund and take her somewhere else. When I arrived, the store was empty. I went straight to the registers and said good morning to the lady. I told her I was returning what I purchased, and she immediately started laughing and told me they weren't refunding money anymore. I tell her that the young lady who completed my transaction yesterday said I had until Friday. She asked me for the girl's hair color and description. Mind you, the entire time she's laughing, I'm beginning to lose my patience. So I asked to speak to a manager, and she said, "For what? She's only going to tell you the same thing." I waited about 10 minutes when the manager opened the store door and said, "You're going to have to wait a few more minutes," I assumed she was talking to me because I was the only one there. No good morning, let alone an introduction. Keep in mind that the entire time I was waiting for this lady, she was standing outside the store. As I'm waiting, the girl at the register tells another employee that I wanted a refund and is still laughing like it was the funniest thing she's heard. At this point I've already lost my patience with her and addressed her in the manner necessary and that was needed because I don't know who she thought she was playing with. Suddenly, nothing's funny anymore. Finally, the manager came to speak to me, and again, there was no introduction. She says "You wanted to speak to a manager?" I looked at her and said, "Are you a manager?" She responds yes, and still no greeting or introduction was offered. How professional! I explained to her my issues, and her response was "As you can see, I'm busy & I don't have time to deal with this." Girl what?! Mind you, the store was empty. I told her that the young lady behind the counter was rude, and she just shrugged her shoulders and obviously didn't care, which honestly I shouldn't have been surprised. She didn't know what associate I was talking about from the day before, but somehow was able to make an excuse for her, saying "she could have possibly been overwhelmed." She did not apologize for the confusion; instead, she created an unnecessary hostile interaction. I shouldn't have to raise my voice for a MANAGER who is supposed to have communication, social, listening, and managerial skills to humble herself and shut her mouth. I don't know where Spirit Halloween found and hired that disrespectful lady to be a manager, but they need to do better. Please DO NOT reopen this location next year. I can give you a handful of reasons why and here's one they're lying to customers, telling them they have until Friday for any refunds. Which, in fact, isn't true. The other issue with this store is that after 2pm, it gets packed with groups of unruly teenagers being loud and obnoxious. Opening things and tossing them around. This store is overwhelming in so many ways.
