I've wanted to try this place for a very long time since they are Canadian-owned. The atmosphere was really nice and there was plenty of seating for you to enjoy your dessert and have a nice chat. They are also doing BOGO until May 14th, you just have to show them the coupon. Service was very friendly. I've heard their scoops were massive so I wasn't quite sure if I wanted a kid size or "small". Do not trust their sizing. The "small" is literally 2 massive tennis ball-sized scoops haha. Initially I went with their kid size but I wanted to try 2 different flavors so I went with the size small and it was only 2$ extra. But my friend opted for the kid size. Also waffle cone is $1.5 extra and the staff gave me an extra cup in case I needed it. We got Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cappuccino, and Strawberry. All of the flavors were so amazing. I really liked chocolate peanut butter but I am bias since it is one of my favorite flavors. It was so decadent with peanut butter swirls. The Cappuccino was very good as well but I felt like it could use a stronger coffee flavor. The strawberry doesn't taste artificial at all and was sweet and creamy. There are so many flavors. I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of them. This was such a wonderful treat and I would definitely come back again. I did get a headache afterwards from all that sugar but It was worth it lol.

They also sell candy, nuts, local honey and other kawartha dairy like milk and butter. They are quite generous with their scoops, perfect for sharing or keep it all to yourself- I'm not judging. The staff are friendly and offer samples if you can't make up your mind. Small seating area at the front and back.

Its a family own business, so they have slightly more limited same flavours. But tried and tested true flavours. With just a take out window, they only accept debit. No credit card or cash. Its easy for those living around the neighbourhood too and the prices are reasonable.

An overpriced disappointment!…read more I went here recently because I love ice cream and was enjoying the weather in Lynn Park. I pretty much have some ice cream on the daily during the summer, so I'm a tough sell; it actually has to be good! I heard they serve Kawartha's so I was excited because I love that brand! I had two scoops on a regular cone and it was just shy of $10 - I almost dropped my cone on the sidewalk out of shock! I chose tiger tail and the blueberry cheesecake swirl. The flavouring was muted and the consistency of the ice cream was airy and overly soft. I'm not convinced this was Kawartha's. It was barely cold and was already a drippy mess when the clerk handed it over, so maybe that's the reason. How dare they ruin my favourite brand!!!!!!! It's not a place I'll visit again.

As I was heading over to California Sandwiches, I noticed this QQ Frozen Yogurt store. The sign…read moresaid that it was now open. Cool! This store shares the same space at Gong Cha. My original thought was to get some bubble tea after fetching lunch. I drove over here. There is lots of parking in this plaza full of box stores and eateries. I have not been in this area in years, but old memories started flooding in. QQ Frozen Yogurt now occupies the spot where Menchie's used to be. I loved the latter because it had sorbet for those who are lactose-intolerant or vegan, or both. While I was waiting for my Gong Cha order, I perused the QQ Frozen Yogurt side. It offers 7" small whole cheesecakes and cakes, and cheesecake slices from The Cheesecake Factory. They were all in a fridge next to the frozen yogurt cups and waffles cones. You basically grab what you'd like and hit the frozen yogurt machines. There were several frozen yogurt flavours to choose from. I saw blue raspberry tart froyo, Nutella froyo, and more. Most of the frozen yogurt flavours have dairy. Like Menchie's, QQ offers two dairy-free options. I was pleased to see dairy-free mango and strawberry froyo varieties. Both Gong Cha and QQ have public washrooms in the middle of the store. The single washroom that was wheelchair-accessible was available. The other one that seemed to be for everyone was out of service. The entire store was extremely clean. I was expecting a mess in the toppings area where you can go crazy decorating your froyo to your heart's desire, but it was in pristine condition. I was so full stuffing myself with a veal sandwich that I couldn't fit dessert in. I will definitely head back and get some froyo when I'm not urning for a nap. (166)

Had a lovely mix of mango and strawberry gelato with a little wafer cone garnish. Loved that the vegan gelatos were all in a separate fridge case. I was parked on the Danny (might as well practice using this term) to visit Little Robot Friends. As I was walking over to it, I passed by Gelato on the Danny. It sounded like the perfect place to stop by on a muggy, humid day. I flagged returning here after shopping at Little Robot Friends. I returned to this store with a large bag of plushies. I opened the door and walked in. I got the nicest greeting from the woman behind the counter. I wanted gelato. She asked whether I had any allergies. I said that I'd prefer to not have any dairy in my gelato. She pointed me to the dairy-free gelato and took the time to let me know what each flavour was. There were cone and cup sizes for gelato. I went with a medium cup, which allowed me to select up to three flavours. I got the following gelato: - Lemon - Coconut - Canteloupe She asked if I had any egg allergies. I don't. She put a piece of pizzelle in my gelato. It was a nice touch. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and tipped. I thanked her and left the store. I decided to walk over to my car to put my plushies away. Although humid, I decided to head back to this store and sit on the patio. It was quiet and nice. The woman at this store works hard. She was cleaning the windows and asked me how I liked the gelato. The cantaloupe is the real deal. It's the natural sweetness of the cantaloupe in frozen form. She was sweet checking in with me. The same goes for the coconut and lemon flavours. The former had a hint of coconut flake texture in the gelato that I loved. I'm a huge coconut fan and this gelato was perfect. The lemon was tart and yummy. I am also a huge lemon person. A couple came over and hitched their dog's leash to the metal fence. The man asked if my gelato was good. It was excellent. Their dog ended up looking through the glass to see what the owners were doing. I realized that my sitting on the patio made folks come into the store. Who knew that I'd be a sitting gelato magnet... haha! This find was awesome! I look forward to returning to try more gelato flavours. This place also has coffee in hot and iced forms. I'd love to try the latter during the summer. (213)
