One of the reasons my cousins and I used to come here A LOT A LOT back in the day is because AMC was far better than its sister locations in Del Amo and the South Bay. Once the latter theaters (along with the malls they were attached to) got their act together and got upgraded, visits to this location got more and more rare. But then I found myself up in here one weekend. (I had to get my car serviced not too far from here which was gonna take a few hours.) In lieu of going home, I decided to explore this plaza since it has been awhile. I was delighted to find this whole area has maintained itself - it's still a cool place to go and hangout, not just for AMC but for eateries as well. Some are still here (Fishbonz, Islands, etc...) along with some newbies I would love to check out someday! I might just find myself around back here more frequently... just sayin'...

Boasting 100 stores in a curvy non-traditional layout, this plaza is an excellent spot to spend some leisure time and take in the sunshine and gentle breeze that's present on just about every day. You can shop, dine, workout, grab a cup of coffee and see a movie all within your allotted time. No, there's no scheduler tracking you but you might have other tasks calling your name. Navigating the generous parking grids can be a challenge but I'm confident you'll find a spot. Located at the intersection of Crenshaw and PCH, it's always a hustling bustling experience. Maybe if I get ambitious, I'll post a listing of most of the major stores and restaurants. Aww heck, okay; Whole Foods, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Baskin Robbins, AMC Theaters, Rubios, Islands, The Veggie Grill, 24 Hour Fitness, Trader Joes, Bev-Mo, California Pizza Kitchen, Peet's Coffee and Starbucks. That's enough for now. More to follow.

Everything you might need conveniently located together. I want to live IN this shopping center! You can start the day early as Peet's Starbucks, and Whole Foods open early and have coffee (whole foods weekday special- $1.99 for coffee and bakery item) all 3 places have wifi so you can sit and get some work done while you wait for the caffeine to hit your system. Need a little more substance to your breakfast? L'Amande has delightful breakfasts - try the croque madam with one of their perfect cappuccinos and feel like you are in Europe. (If they had wifi it would be perfect). Grab some Authentic European pastries to go or grab their bread when it's right out if the oven (they post times so you know when their mid morning and afternoon bake time is - but mornings are always fresh hot!) There is no shortage of places to eat here: Islands, Blaze, Sushi Boy, Daphane's, Rubio's, CPK, Fish Bones, Macaroni Grill, Veggie Grill...,.. There are mom and pop places too - Japanese, Indian, Korean-ish, ... Soba places, ramen places, yogurt places... Do desserts count as eating places? There's Menchie's for frozen yogurt, and Treat is an awesome treat with fluff ice, French macaroons, boba drinks and rich desserts. I already mentioned L'Amande, but you wanted an Asian bakery? Check out Monmartre for French-Asian baked goods. Should you need to actually shop for food to stock your kitchen, besides Whole Foods there is also Trader Joes and the Japanese Market Nijiya. Omaha steaks also has a shop to satisfy for grass fed bison cravings. Oh, you meant you needed to stock your bar? Worry not, Bev Mo to the rescue! Not sure what wines or beers to stock? Both Bev Mo and Whole Foods have nice tasting events every week! How's that for useful entertainment? Speaking of entertainment, you can paint some ceramic master pieces at Color Me Mine, and you can't miss the AMC 20. Can't watch a movie because you have little ity bitty ones? Look for the Mommy shows where little ones crying or moving about won't be viewed askew and the 10:30am time is just right for wee one's schedule. If you caught a late show, you can walk over and still get some scrumptious food and drinks at Ryopanyaku. There is also Iccho. Both places stay open to 2 am, with last call for food at 1am, and drinks at 1:30am. Running out of money? Chase has a branch with ATMs. All this food getting you fat? Weight Watchers is available for you~ or how about the 24 hour Fitness Sport gym for a workout, sauna and swim? La Sunset Tan can give you a tan for a sun kissed look. Once you've lost that weight, reward yourself with a manicure and pedicure at Fancy Nails, get your brows threaded at Vogue, get your hair cut there too to or go to Pia's or Jacob's hair salon, (or go to Europen Wax Center for 'other hair' issues) and maybe buy some clothes at Tilly's, Jos A Bank, or Styles of Hawaii. Stay healthy with Good Earth supplements, pick up your prescription and your before/after photos at Rite Aid, and you might as well peruse Bed Bath and Beyond (don't forget that 20% off coupon). Walking around to see what is at the Gift Corner, picking up a few things at Waterside Beauty Suppies or Teacher's Supplies can all be done here too. Whew! You know, all this is getting me hungry. I've been meaning to try the Indian place and the Mongolian Hotpot This isn't a conclusive list, and I haven't talked about crossing the street for Kohls, Panera, Burke William's Spa, Big 5, Goodwill, B of A, women's gym, Robeck's or Mimi's Cafe ( just a fraction of what is across Crenshaw)!

Why can't I find a list of restaurants at Rolling Hills Plaza? I don't want Yelp reviews, I am trying to find the directory/list of current restaurants. I can find a directory easily for Fashion Island in Newport Beach but not for Rolling Hills Plaza

There's no printed or electronic listing of the businesses at Rolling Hills Plaza. The best way to locate the restaurant list is via Yelp or Google Maps with "restaurants" in the search field.

Bed Bath & Beyond is another former resident that I often shopped at for home goods, especially when I first moved to the South Bay.

This is a hidden gem location…read more It is small in size, so the inventory is limited based on store size and is not a "Greatland" However, if you come here, due to the limitations, it's not crowded and is the perfect location to conduct your returns without long lines to wait in. Also, if you can pick up items here ordering online, this is an easy spot. The staff was friendly and parking was easy. The only downside is that it's not robust in scope of inventory for in store retail shopping compared to most Target stores

Over Christmas, I purchased several $100 gift cards at the 2130 Pacific Coast Hwy location, totaling about $500, plus activation fees. Turns out every single card had been tampered with. None of the recipients could use them. Let that sink in: Target sold me compromised gift cards and then completely washed their hands of the problem. Target, the retailer who sold me the cards, takes zero responsibility. That's their official stance. No ownership. No accountability. No concern. Way to stand behind your product. When I called the store, I was told I had to come back to that exact location and speak with "Asset Protection." This store is out of my way, but I went anyway, because I foolishly thought someone there might actually help. Instead, I got Osvaldo, who offered this brilliant insight: "Target doesn't take responsibility. Call the number on the back of the card, good luck." That was it. That was the help. I went out of my way for that? I asked a few follow-up questions, none of which he could answer. The entire interaction was awkward, pointless, and a complete waste of my time. I also called Target's theft hotline, only to get the exact same script. No solutions. No escalation. No empathy. Just pass-the-buck customer service at its finest. So now I'm out hundreds of dollars, hours of my time, and any remaining goodwill I had toward Target. I'm left frustrated, angry, and honestly shocked at how poorly this was handled. If this is how Target treats customers when something goes wrong, I'll be thinking twice before choosing them again - BYE, BYE, Target!

This place has gotten better with customer service…read more The place could use a lot more organizing and cleaning. Shelves are in always in disarray, items thrown back into the shelves, things scattered everywhere, stuff on the floor. Needs to be neatly placed back. It looks so cluttered at this store. This place always gets so busy. Perhaps the workers here never have time to clean up. The cashier was nice and he helped cash us out quickly.

When you go into a Ross you pretty much know what you are going to get. This Ross is no different…read more They have tons of clothing, shoes, and the everything thing else that Ross is known for. This is a large location. It is well stocked and the isles are easy to navigate. The one thing I will say about this location is that it is very popular. Meaning, it can and often does get very crowded. This is not necessarily bad, but it is just something to keep in mind as you may spend more time waiting in line than you may expect. This Ross is attached to a very large parking lot, so parking is never a problem. The parking spaces nearest to the entrance are a bit smaller than those in the more removed reaches of the parking lot. Plus, the outer spots are much easier to get in and out of. This is just something to think about which may make your overall shopping experience more enjoyable. Overall, this is a Ross. You know what to expect and that is exactly what you will get.
