This place has a lot of restaurants and shopping, and good stores too! I came here to eat at Oath Pizza and it was very good. Definitely try it! Plenty of parking and this area is great because there are so many other eateries, Top Golf, and the movies, etc. Need to spend more time here seeing what else they have. I ate and left. read more

This is a nice shopping plaza with a lot of variety that is evolving and finding itself as certain businesses thrive and others leave. I think with "The Point" being up the hill, this has the potential to grow and evolve in conjunction with The Point to make it a shopping mecca for El Segundo and Manhattan Beach for both retail and restaurants. Surprised to see several retail shops open this afternoon, as many places were still closed due to coronavirus. I came to get Pinkberry, which was open with social distancing restrictions. When your home makes you a prime candidate for one of those "I'm a hoarder" TV shows, bring it on down to The Container store and get organized. Next door is Cost Plus World Market. When you feel like you need to get a little globe trotting explorer out of your system, bring it on over to World Market and load up on goodies from other countries. PetSmart is the 3rd stop. When your pal needs a treat bring it on over to PatSmart for dog biscuits or kitty litter galore. We've got Best Buy holding down the fort. When you aren't sure what new gadget you want, bring it on over to Best Buy and convince yourself you need it. Home Goods and we're almost done with the north side tour. When The Container Store has organized your stuff, bring it on down to Home Goods and get some more. Whole Foods Market is our next to the last stop. Best thing about Plaza El Segundo?!? THE VEGGIE GRILL. The food there is sooo good. Another good thing? Melt Gelato! Go there and get their Strawberry Cheesecake gelato. Sign up for their mailing list and they'll send you coupons for discounts off gelato.. and a free gelato on your bday. Also, the Dicks Sporting goods here always has really good deals on their clearance racks. Just the other day I got a pair of $25 running shorts for less than $5. Of course, there's also the Whole Foods. Who doesn't love whole foods. The Whole Food's farmer's market is not worth the drive though. Also, there is a MAC store here. :) *Evil Grin* and the Aveda Hair Salon is actually pretty decent. Plenty of parking throughout the whole plaza. read more

Yup it's shopping. Lots of shopping. I dont' like shopping but when I have to do it, I like this area. I can shop for almost everything I need, including food, clothing, gifts, shoes, home decor and everything in between. I can even stop for lunch. Lots of terrific places to satisfy your hunger. The housekeeping service is available during the week by appointment only. The menu from the restaurant is incredibly limited and extremely expensive. The food is not fresh; the small amount of available fruit is usually unripened pineapple during breakfast while the dinner choices range from Rigatoni with Zucchini to a hamburger. There is little to no service provided by any of the staff. If I didn't know better I would not believe this is a Hilton property. Each person at the front desk provides you with a different answer to almost every question. I would not recommend staying at this property to anyone I would not recommend staying in this Embassy Suites Hotel to anyone. We wound up changing our own sheets, having food delivered to our Suite and cleaning it by ourselves. It was difficult to get clean towels, bed linens or any basic services. As a Hilton Honors VIP member for decades I realize this property is extremely poorly maintained. The wi-fi was spotty at best, making it difficult to find a connection plus they refused to let me use a secure wi-fi connection. Even the Television was only able to connect to three channels. I will never go back to this Property. read more

We enjoy this outdoor mall immensely. There are some pretty great retailers (Whole Foods, Lululemon) here and misc / other (YogaWorks). But it's really the food that brings us (The Counter, Pinkberry, Veggie Grill, Salt Creek Grill). If only it wasn't so sprawled out. There is really no way to not drive from stop to stop. What, you want me to walk for 5 min?! This is LA! We don't walk! Just between you and me, the kiddos can cool off on a hot summer's day in the water fountain next to Anthropologie and Pinkberry. Went here on Memorial Day and it was a nice place to go shop hopping since they had a few stores my boyfriend and I were interested in checking out. Plenty of free parking available and I like how they divided the plaza into two different sides per se. One had the higher endish stores and a few restaurants, while the other side had the more compatible places for my taste. We stopped by Best Buy, Pet Smart, Starbucks, Chase, The Container Store and World Market. We would have checked out the rest of the stores they had there, but were on a time crunch to head back home and to check out a carnival going on. Definitely would come back! read more

YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - 28/100. I've been here a few times usually for grub. I've been to Salt Creek Grille, The Veggie Grille, Marmalade Café as well as the couple of eatery spots used to be located where Samosa House stands now. (Still yet to try it!) I've also gotten the chance to walk around and check out a couple of shops. I've found some nice bargains at H&M and Banana Republic. Never really had issues with parking. It does get packed, but you will find a spot in no time. I just recently learned they hold events held here for the kids or the kids at heart. That might be something I might look into sometime in the near future. It's a good place to walk around after a hearty meal. Or simply to kill time should that be your thing. Who needs a strip-mall when you're living the awesome life of a beach bum in Manhattan Beach? I do! And obviously, I'm not alone... Every time I go to Manhattan Beach, I end up spending some time at Plaza El Segundo. Whether I go to do some grocery shopping at Whole Foods, go to a yoga class at Yoga Works, get a mani/pedi, grab a meal at The Veggie Grill, shop the latest styles at Lululemon, Anthropology, BCBG, or J Crew, pick up a book at Borders, window shop at Cost Plus World Market, or get my fill of PinkBerry, there is always something to do at this high-end (albeit filled with chains) outdoor mall. In addition to the above mentioned places, I've also spent time at Dick's... I have yet to visit the crepe place but I hear it's fabulous and a definite on my list for the next trip. Oh, and Sammy's Woodfired Pizza (http://www.yelp.com/biz/sammys-woodfired-pizza-el-segundo) will be the latest exciting addition to this plaza opening real soon. This little plaza brought life to the ever boring land of El Segundo. I've been working in this area for over a decade and have to say businesses are finally picking up around here. I'm always so amazed by construction people....it seem they built this plaza in the blink of an eye. All my favorite stores in one stop....Whole Foods, Veggie Grill, Bebe, MAC, Anthro, LuLu, Starbucks, Salt Creek, Pinkberry, Petsmart, Borders, etc. etc. There is also a farmers market every Wednesday morning infront of Whole Foods market. I'm really bummed Borders is going out of business. It's my bookstore of choice over Barnes N Nobles anyday. You get free membership and get discounts on book purchases instead of paying up $25 for a membership at you know where.... This plaza is so close to work, so convenient and lots of parking. I absolutely love this area. It has numerous stores and restaurants. They have; Whole Foods, Dick's Sporting Goods, The Salt Creek Grille, Homes Goods, The Container Store, Cost Plus World Market, The Counter, A yoga studio, Yogurtland, California Fish Grille, Veggie Grill, and the list list on and on. It's always very clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I mainly come here for the Home Goods or to grab a bite to eat. I found out about this place and finally went here today since I love visiting new, modern shopping and dining areas. The landscaping and ambiance are nice. If only the area was connected more to the tiny shopping area called The Point and had it all blend together and more walkable-friendly. I drove an hour to this place, only to DRIVE through it in 5 minutes. I didn't even have to get out of my car. I drove through it, saw what shops were there and that was it. However, it's nice for those who just want to go to specific stores. Unfortunately, I have no reason to return here since I'd be driving way out of my way just to come here. read more

Super huge party lots in the area but yes it can get crowded because people in the area apparently love to shop....and that you can't really walk from one shop to another because it's not quite next door. It's so nice to have this new shopping center here. Now that I've moved back to the area I can try all the new restaurants. It's really clean and they have a nice variety of stores...Best Buy, Borders, World Market, Dick's Sporting Goods to name just a few...and tucked behind in the corner are an array of restaurants. What's not to like...plenty of parking...good eats...good stores...good way to kill a few hours...I will definitely be back again and again! read more

(3.5 stars) This shopping plaza is not really a gathering place like Santa Monica Place or The Grove. Instead, it is more of a functional get-what-you-need place with free and easy to find parking. In terms of stores, they have several large stores with great selection/inventory. The Borders is big; so are the Best Buy, Dick's (sporting goods) and the almost too big Whole Foods. These stores fill the main strip. There is also a Petsmart and a Cost Plus World Market along this same strip. Smaller retailers are located on the south end and they include a Banana Republic, J. Crew, Anthropologie, Sur La Table, among others. In terms of food, most of the food places here are average at best. California Fish Grill provides a reasonably priced and can-be-healthy order-at-the-counter fish restaurant, but the quality of the food does not match up to the California Fish Grill in Gardena. I am not a huge fan of The Counter (burgers), but I find The Counter here even weaker than other Counter locations. Salt Creek Grille is a more expensive sit-down restaurant, but the food is below average for the high prices (which are in the Houston's range). La Sirena Grill & Cantina is a slightly upscale and more Americanized/fusion Mexican restaurant and it is decent. I believe they do 50% off everything on Mondays. I hear The Veggie Grill is good. I have not been to the Marmalade Cafe here, but I've been to one in Palos Verdes and it was kind of like a Cheesecake Factory. In terms of quick treats, there is a Pinkberry tucked away in the southwest corner and a Melt Gelato & Crepe Cafe that is located in the southeast corner. If you are a Borders, Best Buy and/or Whole Foods fan, Plaza El Segundo is worth a visit. All three of those stores are good versions of those chains and make this plaza relevant. The free and large parking lot also make this a quicker way to get to one of those stores than many of their other locations (which are in more crowded areas of Los Angeles). read more

I can't say I'm a "fan", but it does seem Plaza El Segundo is a step above 3 stars. So, 4 it is. We've been coming here more than I would have guessed. It's convenient with tons of free parking, but mostly we come for one of the restaurants or shops. So far, our favorite eats are California Fish Grill, The Counter, Melt, and Veggie Grill although I did like happy hour at Salt Creek Grille, too. Best Buy, Dick's, and Whole Foods may be the anchor stores, but I find myself buying more from Cost Plus, Home Goods, and Active Ride. I like Plaza El Segundo, however, I still don't know where Plaza El Primero is located. read more

People emotional eat when they are down, I emotional shop. I love this plaza. This plaza makes me FEEL GOOD! Emotionally I feel better when I come to this plaza, whether I shop or not. :-P I can do all my errands in this plaza. From groceries, to imported goods at World Market, to books at soon to be closed Borders, Electronics at Best Buys, Coffee at Starbucks, dine at Salt Creek or Cafe Marmalade, Get my hair done at Vicara/ Aveda Salon to clothes shopping at Anthropologie, Banana Republic and Bebe. Desserts at Pinkberry's or Melt Gelato & Crepe Cafe. They have the biggest and best Whole Foods, World market and lots of good shops. Besides the shops, this plaza itself makes me feel good. It's clean and tidy. I love all the shops here, but the entire plaza is not connected and to get from point 1 to point 2 to point 3, you need to drive or take a long walk across the parking lot and traffic light. read more

I practically live here when I have people from out of town or on the weekends when I need something to do. My toddler loves the Pinkberry fountain and the toys at the back of the M. Frederic store. Other stores I love are Anthropologie, BCBG, Banana, and Lululemon. I don't recommend Marmalade Cafe as their service is just not up to par and the food is just OK. In the big area, there is a Whole Foods, Best Buy, Cost Plus, and Borders which are all awesome as well as a great restaurant, Salt Creek Grille. It's very very good and good ambiance. At the other end, there is Toy Jungle and Veggie Grill which I frequently frequent! Toy Jungle is practically an indoor park with thing the children can play with while you shop and Veggie Grill is amazing (see my separate review). They are also putting in a place called the Counter which is supposed to be great. read more

I totally agree with Cheri - 5 stars across the board. It felt like this prime corner was going to lay fallow FOREVER, until a few months ago when construction popped up, along with signs touting some of the anchor stores. I squeed aloud when I saw Anthropologie. I did cheetah flips when I saw Linens-N-Things. And Plaza El Segundo has delivered. I've already written up Smith and Hawken, the Starbucks, Swoozie's, and the Anthro, and I will give you more today. But, seriously -- great shopping center, thoughtfully divided (the big anchor stores -- Best Buy, Borders, Whole Foods, LNT, etc.) on one side, the smaller clothing stores (BR, BCBG, m. frederic, Anthro) on the other. Beautiful, new, shiny. Ample parking. Tons of restaurants I haven't even gotten into. Prime location. Great selection. I could go on for awhile. Plaza El Segundo has a great array of restaurants and stores to satisfy all of your shopping needs. It seems like yesterday when this piece of land was nothing but a dusty ol dirt lot. Now you can find The Container Store, Best Buy, Whole Foods, Dicks sporting goods and a Sur La Table. They have a great selection of restaurants and even a Starbucks to grab that quick pick me up. If you need to do any banking there is a new chase bank available as well. All in all, a great shopping experience in a very quaint little strip mall. read more

Plaza El Segundo is great! Veggie Grill: Their buffalo chicken sandwich is delicious. Their kids meal "chicken" nuggets, sweet potato fries and carrot cake are perfect for a toddler splurge meal. Wondertree: My son took an art class and a music class here. Very cute store with cute classes. Whole Foods: My favorite Whole Foods in South Bay by far. Huge selection. The hot bar is not my favorite, so I stick the the items on the shelves, produce and behind the deli. Banana Republic: Standard store that I enjoy. Container Store: Love this store! Love having an organized home. Pinkberry: I still enjoy this yummy treat. The Counter: Not my favorite place to eat, but don't mind it either. The only NEGATIVE is that everything is so spread out. There are 3 main sections and you have to cross streets to get there. We walk, but I can see people choosing to drive. read more

I havent been here much but in the last few months I have visited around 4 times. This plaza is a great use of space and there are plenty of shops; mostly upscale. I enjoy that this its outdoor shopping but i do think they could have added in a few more restaurants or even a movie theater to truly make it one-stop. For that it is 3 stars. I do appreciate the variety of stores and that there is really plenty of parking. Even when I came here during Christmas season, it was not run over by cars and parking was actually very easy. Parking is 4 stars. I will visit more since it does offer stores not found in Manhattan Village or other neighboring shopping spots. However, between El Segundo and Manhattan, if not careful they are going to overbuild and it will become more of an overcrowded place like Santa Monica thereby taking away from the experience. read more

Being a neighbor in Manhattan Beach, I was initially somewhat against the opening of this plaza - expecting a lot more traffic, etc. But have been pleasantly surprised by it. The light / intersection addition on Sepulveda and the expansion of lanes has made it work there. Whole Foods - added high end competition to the area. Ralphs has responded quite well. Best Buy - Nice to not have to go to the one the other side of the 405. (and this one is much nicer) Chick's - Now a nice addition, but still a strange collection of sporting goods. read more

This is my favorite shopping plaza in the South Bay. Its management has really stepped up their game recently. I never thought much of it until my beloved Drybar picked PES for their Manhattan Beach location. When they announced it would be there, I started following PES on Facebook and quickly saw that they frequently post helpful, informative updates. They seem to be really trying to develop their brand, and I appreciate the effort. The stores here are all great - the Whole Foods, Sur la Table, MAC, Anthropologie, and Cost Plus World Market located here are the only locations of these stores that I visit. I also really like the Home Goods and the H&M. The Container Store is moving into the former Borders location in June, which will be a great addition. All the stores at PES have an upscale feel to them with courteous staff and great surroundings. read more

We were successful at doing both, though it took awhile to figure out where Banana was from Whole Foods....the sign from Sepulveda made it seem like it was in the strip that Whole Foods was.
