We parked on the side between Barnes & Noble and North Italia. As we came through the mall entrance we were surprised to see a Pop Mart pop-up, which was larger than some stores in other malls. The permanent store is still under construction, so we assumed this was a preview for Pop Mart fans like our daughter. We didn't have time to walk the entire mall after dinner, but the parts we did see were redone to be modern and bright with comfortable seating throughout. Many of the stores now have larger floor plans. There are also much more dining and snack options. We hope to see the rest of it the next time we visit our niece.

I appreciate that the mall grounds inside and out are kept clean. It's so convenient when you need an item asap and can't wait for delivery. The lots are pretty well lit and mall security is visible. I even saw mall security give a citation to someone who was double parked. I didn't know that could happen. Overall I give our little mall an A+! This plaza is running a shady operation by aggressively towing cars to make money. They have a…read moretiny, almost unnoticeable sign at the entrance about towing, and if you don't immediately enter a store after parking, they call the towing company right away. They even have someone secretly monitoring you without any warning. How do they determine who's a customer and when? They don't--they just don't care. To make matters worse, the towing company is within walking distance, so they show up almost instantly. Getting your car back will cost you around $500, making this an outright scam. It's clearly a setup to trap unsuspecting visitors and make a quick profit. Avoid this place unless you want to deal with an unnecessary and extremely costly headache.

I first visited this plaza to watch movies with friends in the late 1990s. And on some nights with new movie openings, the lines were so long they wrapped around the building. Yikes! There's been a lot of turnover the last couple of decades that I can't remember some of the earlier tenants. A fav Japanese restaurant with a large diverse dessert menu had closed, replaced by Hakata Yamaya (renamed as Yamaya). Most recently, SHIOK! Asian Street Food (family fav for delish sandwiches & boba drinks) was closed due to downturn from the COVID-19 pandemic, replaced with Hanky's Hot Chicken, followed by Tap Society Brews & Bites (its sister Caps & Corks is still open) all within 4 years. Not sure why this particular spot always had high turnover. Bed Bath & Beyond is another former resident that I often shopped at for home goods, especially when I first moved to the South Bay. Although I no longer visit this AMC as much, I still shop & dine fairly regularly at the plaza: Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Nijiya Market, Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea, Mendocino Farms, Lunasia Dim Sum House, Stonefire Grill, Nice China Cafe, Pinwheel Cafe Bakery, Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, California Pizza Kitchen, Veggie Grill, Iccho Restaurant, Kabab Curry of India, Fanoos Grill. I'm sure there are others that I missed (supposedly there's 80+ eateries & retail tenants). While parking is plentiful, vacancies are challenging during lunch & dinner rushes, & weekends. Rolling Hills Plaza is one of the larger outdoor spaces for one-stop dining, shopping, & entertainment for the whole family... workout, grab a coffee, shop, dine, & watch a movie in one go.

The only place worth going to here was the 99c store, otherwise, there really was nothing else. Then demolition and construction started going up a year or so ago. Popular spots are now occupying and making the most of this prime space: The Habit, BurgerIM, Starbucks, Jersey Mike's. There's even a fitness center. And the good news is they did all this without having to compromise other businesses standing there beforehand: the pet store, UPS, 99c store. Last but not least, they didn't compromise the amount of parking available for all patrons despite all these new and popular trendy spots. And the project isn't done yet - it's looking like there's still some revamping going on. Looking forward to this corner's final look. It's a way overdue (and well-deserved) upgrade. I hear there's talks of demolition and turning this place into a residential and commercial area. October 2026, this mall was rented out to Anime Night Mart. TONS of vendors on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor. Lots of little stands and creative art pieces for sale. There were so many to see and a lot of competition. It was my first time seeing this event and I had a blast. Even won a prize! A large mousepad. Also got free tote bags. I've never seen the mall packed like this for years. It hasn't been this crowded since way before Covid. This mall has sadly become empty with stores shutting down. I'm glad to see this kind of event bring foot traffic and traction back into the mall and bringing business. They should do this here more often. People flew in and traveled from all over to be here. Visitors also dressed up in cosplay. Such a fun event! Met some people, visited lots of vendors, and took pictures with some hosts. They even had a dj playing music. The mall was jam packed with vendors, they were everywhere. It was a free event but we got a free giveaway gift bag with freebies just for scanning our QR code with the team.

Many of the spaces are for lease. There was a business where you can rent the space to take selfies with the full lighting and background setups. The only two stores I visited were the two large second hand stores. The one downstairs is mostly women's and the one upstairs is only men's. Service, selection and prices were great at both. They both sell clothing, shoes, and accessories. Cash discount. Parking: There is plenty of parking surrounding the entire mall, and it's free.
