My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My other friend got the steak kabobs and she loved her also. The service was decent. We did sit for about 30 minutes at one point before ordering and we were already a bit behind schedule in trying to get out for a play at Albuquerque Little Theater. We let our server know and he didn't really help us out much. We got to our play on time, but barely. He also seemed annoyed at us for letting him know we needed to get out of there. There was a lot of chatter and laughter and movement. There were staff members running all over the place taking care of everyone. It wasn't annoying though. When we left, there were about 40-50 people waiting for tables. I was really glad we had gotten there early. We were there during Balloon Festival, so I don't know if they're always quite as busy as they were that night, but my understanding is that they are always busy. But inside it's cute and clean. The menu is a a good size with lots of options. I ordered the chicken satay and the papaya salad. I can't remember what my wife had but it was good. The satay was nice and not covered in gooey marinade. It was delicate and delicious. The papaya salad was huge and I ended up having it for multiple meals. I ordered medium which turned out to be pretty fiery but delicious. While I've found plenty of good Vietnamese I haven't liked too many of the Thai places here. This is an exception. And now I see that they have a second branch on Nob Hill which is near my house which is great.
