It became stressful rather than enjoyable, especially for younger or inexperienced skaters. It might be helpful to offer separate skate times, one for beginners and intermediate skaters and another for more proficient or advanced skaters- to make the experience safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Overall, it has a lot of potential and could be a fantastic family-friendly spot with a few adjustments to skating flow and safety.

Go on their online calendar, see available dates and times, choose and either pay a deposit or entire payment. It took exactly 5 min to book this party. Loved the convience. After that I recieved emails of the receipt, and further things to know and reminders. Obviously the owners know what good customer service looks like. On the day of the party we had two of the sweetest attendees working and making my daughters birthday fabulous! Place is clean, nice and cool which is a must in Bakersfield scorching heat and music was on point. They gove you choice and when we finally decided on Michael Jackson, thats when this party became epic . Everyone enjoyed themselves, kids were safe and we had no worries. My daughter had the best birthday party and we have Skateland to thank for that.

Then I wanted to know when the pizza was going to come since we were waiting for it for over an hour and we paid 350$ for the room for an hour . She said sorry we have nothing to do with that . She said you probably should be asking the snack bar not her. So me and my husband went over to the snack bar. Staff is extremely rude , no customer service what so ever . The young man when I was trying to get skates was even looking at me and staring at me , not saying a word to me. It took the older gentleman to say hi to me so I can rent some skates . The kids working there need lessons in customer service . Here is a tip ... Leave the entitled attitude at the door, get off your phones, and take off the sunglasses ... Your in a building , UV rays aren't going to harm you . Flirt with guys outside of the work place. Be professional and enthusiastic coming to your job . If you don't like your job then go find another . I would not recommend this place at all. They are the only ice rink in town , and as of now can get away with it. Over priced

(She'll be 6) We ordered hers and my son's skates off amazon since their feet are still growing. My husband and I ordered ours online from Intuition skate shop. The pricing was reasonable. They fit perfect, and they feel great. They're absolutely amazing in the colors we got as well. I ordered the fairy floss. When contacting Intuition about when they would ship/arrive, Matthew responded quickly and professionally. He even upgraded shipping to get them here in time for my daughter birthday. I highly recommend and when my kids feet stop growing we will definitely be ordering their skates from Intuition. 10/10, highly recommend.​

The order I received was fast and very well packaged and they even threw in few stickers and a cool magazine that was very much appreciated. they are on the west coast and i am on the east coast but they are my go to shop for all my new skating needs. They are constantly adding cool stuff, specially to their social media. I highly recommend and encourage you to check them out, was able to get some new wheels and axles, even bearing spacers and even the tools to work on my gear. Go check them out!!!!

Nostalgia combined with music floods your brain with dopamine and is an antidote to fatigue, so it's the perfect way to exercise in middle age. Roller Towne never fails to live up to their promises, always playing the hits all night long. The DJ also typically takes and honors requests! They recently had a four hour long session in which they had music from each decade: 1970s, 1980, 1990s, and 2000s! Oh wow, it was a blast! I have never had so much fun since I truly was young, and the DJ played nothing but the top hits from each decade - no boring songs at all, to the point I didn't even dare use the restroom for fear I'd miss a great song to skate to. They also play ALL of Michael Jackson's top hits during the MJ skates, as well as requests. I asked the DJ to play "Another Part of Me", and he played it right away! Their drinking fountain always has refrigerated, perfectly clean and tasty drinking water, and they never cut your skate time short to make you take off your skates to "dance", unlike the one in Clovis. Even their games are wisely designed to teach kids skating skills that will reduce injuries, such as games that make kids practice stopping quickly or falling to the ground without getting hurt. That was a brilliant idea. Their lockers are still cheap - a quarter for a locker, and the skate sessions are very inexpensive. DJs rarely talk during the songs, but if they do, it's usually because they got so many requests that they can't play all of the songs unless they do. More than any modern rollerskating rink, this one brings me back to the best days of roller skating rinks.

Alas, I held my tongue and did not sing. I booked the bubble rollers for our backyard birthday. The ultimate social distancing activity as the balls are sanitized inside and then everyone has their own ball. We had the balls for two hours and the attendants arrived 30 min. before to blow up the balls and sanitize them properly. Attendants were only there to make sure the balls were closed after we got inside. They were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this company. Everything went really well and everyone had a lot of fun.

I had the honor of seeing my Gulls take on the Condors during Country Night. It was a nice (winning) game for the Gulls and a wacky one for the Condors lol. Sorry not sorry Bako. Bakersfield has a good team, everyone has a bad night sometimes. Obviously, I was here supporting my team, however I couldn't help but cheer on the Condors' Luke Prokop! He's an icon and well-known in the AHL/hockey community for diversifying this game. I wish this team had better support for their diverse community and celebrating Luke. While I was at the game, a fan stated that country night felt like every other night as they play the same music every other game. I definitely felt an appeal for a country demographic, but if the Condors want to attract more fans, they need better community initiatives. I love the branding and partnership with the Edmonton Oilers. The Condors have incredible jerseys and never disappoint with their primary colors. However, I visited the merch booth at Dignity and the options were super limited. They only had a few standard shirts. I'm also an enamel pin collector, thankfully they had ONE pin, however they should make more. I beloved team should have more selection. The team has cute giveaways and on-ice attractions such as colorful zambonis and a McDonald's mini-blimp that drops mystery prizes. I saw special game day hats for sale ($10 trucker hats). It's easy to get in on the fun here! Overall, the staff were really nice (minus one merch booth dude). I was a visiting fan from SoCal and I was treated respectfully. There's a lot of potential here. We just need better merch at the games and more inclusion initiatives. Note: Season ticket holders receive access to a special entry line. They also have many perks like "takeover" events where Condors fans travel together on a bus to other arenas to cheer on their team.

As long time regulars, my family finally became rink side season holders 3 years ago. We love it! Truly a great time for the whole family. The themed nights are always worth attending. Last night was the annual Teddy Bear Toss where we bring stuffed animals to local children through the hard work of the lovely folks at United Way. The Teddy Bear Toss is a must not miss Bakersfield event. The whole town comes out. They do a great job highlighting local performers and talents with the singer of The National Anthem and the entertainment for intermissions in between periods. The staff all throughout the stadium are exetemely kind and remember regular Condors fans if you say hello. Parking and access to the facility tends to be easy. Go Condors! Hit that dude... HARD!
