We went to Rollerrama right when they opened, and it was a lot of fun at first. The atmosphere was upbeat, and it was a great time for families, especially with kids who are just learning how to skate. Once the disco lights started and the pace picked up, the environment felt much less safe. Some skaters were going very fast and weaving around children who were clearly beginners. It became stressful rather than enjoyable, especially for younger or inexperienced skaters. It might be helpful to offer separate skate times, one for beginners and intermediate skaters and another for more proficient or advanced skaters- to make the experience safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Overall, it has a lot of potential and could be a fantastic family-friendly spot with a few adjustments to skating flow and safety. read more

A very child friendly roller skating rink. During open skate they do races at my seven-year-old loved it. We've been here for birthdays and they were very successful and the children just loved themselves. The parents that paid for the birthday said it was very good price per child. My husband likes getting a pizza and some of the other foods from the snack bar. They have these really cool plastic walker things that let the kids skate holding on if they don't know how to skate. If you find a group to go with the group rates are pretty good. It's not the cheapest play date because you pay for the skating and you pay for the skate rental. But definitely worth it. read more

Rollerama is a place that's fun for all ages. My friends and I enjoyed a night of skating together even though we're all new to it. There's an option of roller skates or roller blades. Personally, I prefer to use the skates. Skate-Mates are available to rent for an extra $5. Honestly, I had to rent one at first but halfway through our skate session I didn't need it anymore! The ambiance was great. Since it was the night session, the disco ball and lights were shining. Every thirty minutes or so, the DJ announces a game that skaters can participate in. Always a good time for my daughter and her friends. We usually go every Fridays and for $12 entrance free with skate rentals, that's not a bad price for a good time. However, as of January 2023, the price went up to $15. There is a food stall that sells snacks and for $9, you can get 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and a medium soda. There's also two rooms for rent for birthday shindigs and what not. They also sell skates for the little pro or big beginner skater in your life. Such a fun activity for the kids! I'm so glad it's still around. They have a homeschool day once a month, lessons and other "themed" skate times. You often can rent skates and enter for pretty cheap. They have rollerblades and roller skates. For the really little, there are skates they can wear over their shoes to get them acquainted with the feeling of rolling. Another cool thing they have is a "skate mate" which rolls along in front of you so you can balance. They have birthday rooms for a more private feel to your party or open seating around the rink where you can gather with your group. Snack bar has mediocre and expensive snacks, so don't come hungry! 10/10 will return. read more

I just payed almost $100 for myself and my nieces and nephews to come skate. We chose Brimhall because it's on the nice side of town. It is literal hell In here. My godson had a birthday party here. He just turned 8 and hes on a hockey team. It was a perfect party for these boys. They can skate their hearts out and tire themselves out. There is a great little party room. I heard that they have a party session where its only parties and they can private skate. My daughter and I have started coming here regularly. We are both learning how to skate and the staff are super kind and helpful. Big shoutout to Dave the instructor there for giving my and my daughter pointers on getting her more comfortable with skating (without the walker). She is 7 and after he worked with her for a bit and had me follow her around in the ring, her confidence was soaring. If I could give zero stars for the party experience I would, I booked the $500 package for my daughters 7th birthday party. My host, who never introduced herself, and apparently no other employees could give me her name either was extremely rude. She never once checked on my party when my drinks ran out she never came back to ask if I would like to order more. Icees were included for the children which they never received, my son had to keep getting water refills. My party was quite diverse and I felt discriminated against, every time I went looking for her she was hiding in a corner on her phone. The pricing was also great for hours of fun (and we were even able to use a Groupon so it was close to free)... The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because there are only 2 fans on the skating floor... It would be nice to have more or even A/C (but I understand that A/C could be expensive esp. if the business is not coming in)... Also the music seemed to repeat every so often... I understand its a family friendly establishment, but get more variety! And, its nice when the lights are dimmed and the fun neon lights are turned on... the lights were turned on and off every so often and I didn't understand why... Anyway, awesome place overall! I really enjoyed our time skating at Rollerama - West. I was very impressed with the staff, even had their skate instructor approach me, chat about derby and give me tips. If I wasn't leaving the area I would be make an effort to go there for their Saturday skate lessons. The games were great and all the kids had fun. A few things did bother me, though. We went on a very hot day and it pretty warm inside. I think it might be downright miserable later in the summer. The second issue I had was the rink surface itself. The sport tech tiles were dirty and left my wheels coated with gunk. Also, the cement under the tiles was uneven and bumpy in spots. Still, a fun rink with great staff and affordable snack bar. We have been here several times, mostly for school fundraising nights. I like this one better than the others in town because the temperature is always good. They keep it clean. The food area is what you would expect from most skating rinks with nachos, pizza, drinks, chips, candy, and other snacks. There is almost always an employee on the floor helping kids with no experience try and get the hang of it with some beginner tips. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have an area that is designed as a small skate park with it own rules for kids that want to bring their skateboards, scooter, or skates and try out some tricks. That area does require that you have knee pads, elbow pads, and a helmet which you can rent if needed. The location of this one is great since it's right off the Westside Parkway. read more

Normally, we do this outing at Skateland but had another event nearby so went here. Biggest mistake, none of us will ever return. It started at the snack bar, taking over 15 min (nobody else in line) to warm up hot dogs and cheese in a microwave. The girl wasn't wearing gloves, had to keep asking what we wanted, repeatedly. Then when handing us the hot dogs they rolled out onto the counter! She puts a glove on then put the counter dog in the bun! Now let's talk about their super weird, beyond cheap, plastic floor. Its horrible. Anyone who has ever really skated will hate this imposter of a rink. The biggest problem came when "management" came to complain about one of my autistic cousins. She asked us to keep a better eye on them. She went on and on for a good minute. One of my autistic cousins had yelled at another kid. Apparently they had ran into each other. While we condone that behavior anyone who has autism in their family, knows they react differently. He wasn't violent or aggressive, just yelled. The mood was ruined and we gathered our stuff. Part of the group walked out with my cousin who the complaint was about. To my horror the "management lady" pointed at them telling all of her staff things we couldn't hear. I was disgusted and appalled. Even worse is the kids Mom was with me and therefore witnessed her child being pointed at and talked about. She confronted the "management lady" who quickly tried to backtrack ; even trying to claim she has an autistic Grandson. I hope that isn't true because I can only imagine how poorly he must be treated. read more

My husband and I decided to go for a skate for a cheap date on the Wednesday night special - 5$ for each of us including skates. It was a fun time! We did not try any of the food, but looked pretty inexpensive for most of the food I have ever seen at entertainment like this. Bathrooms were really clean, and the skates we had were well maintained. Only complaint- they never turned directions on us once in the 2 hours we were there- so right foot has a blister from turning all on one side! We are going to go again for sure! read more

Our little Rosie wanted to do something fun and different for her Birthday. So we thought "roller skating" was something different and none of our friends and family had ever done a party at a Roller Skating rink. The management was easy to work with. We got the "Epic Explosion" package which includes reserved party room for up to 2 1/2 hours, skate rentals, balloons and table covers (just a few I can think of). We were able to bring in our own cake. We invited just our close friends and family so the room is a perfect size for the guests (plus we had a table outside of the party room, facing the skating rink. All of the kids had an amazing time skating to GREAT MUSIC, eating good food and most importantly, our Princess enjoyed her 8th Birthday. We might do another party for her this year at this same location. We had a great experience here - food and atmosphere was great. Today I have experience the most disgusting thing ever at rollerama me and my family have been coming here for many many years, birthday parties, family Sunday nights and etc. today was my daughters school night and I have experienced the worst thing ever I thought that racism was over. I spoke with a manager that refused to give me his name and told my daughter she wasn't allowed in because of a group of kids. She was hanging with the funny part about this situation is he let all the group of kids in but my daughter and two other African Americans I asked him how many kids were involved he told me eight and out of the eight kids he only remembers the 3 African-American kids so when I told him I was a part of the parents club and I know for facts that some of the kids that were not supposed to be in there were let in he told me he did not care, so for me and my family, we will never ever give Rollerama no more of our services I pray in the future that they get a manager that's not races read more
