I have never been here before but wanted to try the bakery so I ordered a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon raisin roll and found both to be very pasty and dense and VERY expensive. Maybe their lunch, etc is better but I will not be trying. The person who waited on me was very charming. read more

Poor service, attitude, rude and unprofessional. When asking to place an order a different waitress came up to our table and said to the other waitress "I told them I'd be back" with attitude and aggression. Then proceeded to openly talk shit about us behind our back making eye contact with my husband shaking her head and making both of us feel very uncomfortable. From the moment we stepped foot till the moment we decided to leave because of feeling so uncomfortable there was zero customer service and extremely rude treatment. The food wasn't even good- when talking to the manager about the problem she disregarded it and didn't acknowledge the issue whatsoever and gave us excuse that the waitress had been there for 13 years. The audacity of these people ! Please educate the waitresses here what customer service means and that paying customers should not be treated so poorly. Beware!! At 9 am this morning the cashier charged me $9.00 for a small cup of coffee. I paid in cash with a $20 bill and she gave me $11 change and did not give me a receipt. It sounded wrong, so I asked her if the small paper cup of coffee was really $9. Later someone showed me the menu and it was only $4.95. No idea what that was about, but I had already taken a sip from the cup and didn't want to make a scene to get my money back. Does she do this to everyone, or am I special? Hard to say. I have a mixed review for this place. The person behind the counter didn't seem very knowledgeable and gave my husband and I two different prices for items and two different version of comes with each plate. However, the falafel were some of the best I've had, while at the same time bot quite executed correctly. Let me elaborate. The filling was seasoned perfectly and tasted delicious and had a wonderful texture. However, the outside was fried too much, as if the scooper for the falafel didn't grab enough filling and so little pieces on the outside got mostly fried instead of a complete ball. Roladin is a great little European restaurant/bakery tucked away in a strip mall in the valley. It is a kosher restaurant, so the dishes are mostly vegetarian with some fish choices mixed in. They also serve some Israeli specialties such as burrekas. The menu is extensive and a little overwhelming. I decided to try the pizza with pesto, mozzarella, and sun dried tomatoes. This was an excellent choice. The pizza was big enough to bring some home for lunch the next day. But seriously, we were here for the desserts. Everything I tasted was excellent. My favorite was the triple chocolate mousse. Wow! The dessert case is extensive and there is a large variety to choose from. The cookies looked amazing. I definitely need to return and try some more! I was here with a large party and we were helped by Joy. She expertly helped our party and kept things running smoothly. She packed up my pizza to go and kept it at the counter for me since space at our table was limited. It's the little things like this that make a dining experience better. Located in a lot, there should be plenty of parking around. --Food, Drinks & Prices--- They have an abundant of foods as their menu is quite extensive (no meat) and I'm told it's all kosher. I'll have to dig in another time, but the first visit was all about desserts. They have a nice case featuring several desserts of different kinds and sizes including eclairs, tiramisu, tarts, cakes, and various other items. Some desserts can be ordered in the sizes of mini and large/x-large. Besides these, they have a bunch of baked goods. To go along with those treats they feature an array of hot drinks and cold such as coffee items (espresso, cappuccino, latte's, hot chocolate, coffees, iced coffee items) and shakes, smoothies, and sodas and such. Friends and I tried various desserts and drinks and all were pleased. Iced Mocha Blend - Great Crème brûlée (pastry) - A pretty good take on a Crème brûlée, but in a pastry form with a crust. Parking in the lot is easy. The establishment is very clean and seems popular because there was a consistent flow of people coming in to pick up food/dessert. Honestly, this place has the best baguettes I have ever had. I love how it's fluffy AND crispy it is (without being so hard that it hurts the top of my mouth). I drove to this place twice in one day because I couldn't get enough of the baguettes. Their rugelach was not overly sweet, which I love! The Cheese Burrekas were incredibly tasty. I was not a fan of their Mother's Shakshuka because eggs came over-hard and the dish was a bit plain for me. I definitely want to try the Potato Burrekas and tiramisu next time. read more

My bf and I sat on the patio and it started to get really busy + filling in just after 12:15pm. The bench seats + pillows are clean and comfortable. Has anyone seen that Lifetime movie She's Too Young? With Marcia Gay Harden and Alexis Dziena? Where the girls in high school try too hard to be cool by giving sexual favors to the boys? Roladin is exactly like that. Dress it up, dress it down, it's still overpriced baked goods served in a "Hollywood/Highlands" kinda scene. Lest we forget though that we are in valley? Stop trying so hard. It was awkward because its a bakery with a case to look at, but then there are tables with waitresses? Can't I just order and you give me what I want in a box like Portos? I don't need some pretty waitress plate up my pastries and decorate them. They were really pretty looking but they weren't very good. The hazelnut chocolate cream pyramid thingy was too hard and tasted like a hard piece of chocolate. The assorted nut tart had a very spicy taste to it, with ginger, it was super sweet with a strange caramel sauce. 2 pastries came up to be like 16 or 17 bucks, so I just left a $20. Seriously? If you are into high prices and small portions then this is the spot for you! Came here with a girlfriend and realized as soon as the plates came out how small everything was. We ordered an additional orange juice and it was $7. Pretty pricey for a small glass. The food quality was good but again, I'm into big things and good sized portions. If you have an appetite do not come here. If you just want a small snack then this is the place for you. They have a nice outdoor patio. The service was not too good as the girl seemed confused with what exactly came with the brunch. I wish I didn't have to keep asking for items.
