Dr. Roshni was very thorough in her examination. She clearly explained the tests that were taken and provided clear recommendations.

I left this place feeling embarrassed and disappointed. The overall experience was nothing like the…read morecare I had received here before the ownership changed. I went in for a contact lens fitting because my current lenses weren't fitting properly. I explained that to the doctor at the beginning of my appointment, so he knew exactly why I was there. After the exam, he gave me one trial box in the prescribed power and said it was the only box he had. That's only about two days of wear. I told him I didn't think that was enough time to know if the lenses fit well. Instead of giving me more of the same prescription, he gave me one trial box in a lower power. That also only lasts about two days, and one pair has to be saved for my follow-up visit. So in reality, I only had about one day to try each prescription. I even joked that maybe I should wear both prescriptions at the same time. He said some people do that and told me to give it a try. But I came in because my contact lenses weren't fitting properly. One day simply isn't enough to know whether a contact lens fits properly. The doctor seemed busy, so I asked the front desk if I could get just two more days of trial lenses in one of the prescriptions so I could properly evaluate the fit. The woman at the front desk said she would check. Before she even had a chance, another employee walked by and, without stopping to understand my situation, loudly said they don't give out lenses just because someone asks. She kept repeating, "You need to wear those when you come back for your follow-up." She never asked how many trial lenses I had received or what the doctor had recommended. She didn't ask me a single question before making a judgment. I came in seeking help with a contact lens fitting, but instead of trying to understand my situation, she dismissed my concern without ever speaking to me. After that, I saw her walk into the back office and begin talking with the owner while looking in my direction through the glass wall. I could hear her mention that I was asking for more lenses. I don't know what else was said, but it made me feel even more uncomfortable and judged. I asked if I could speak with the doctor again, but I was told he was busy. I then asked for a copy of my contact lens prescription. They said they would email it to me, but instead I received a link to create a patient portal account. When I opened the link, all I got was an error message that said, {"message": "URL not found"}. I tried the link in both Chrome and Safari, but neither worked. When I called the office, I was told they couldn't email my prescription and that I would have to drive back to the place to pick it up in person. I paid $299 for the exam. Patients have the right to receive a copy of their contact lens prescription. A broken portal link and another trip across town is not a reasonable way to provide it. After my visit, I learned that the practice has new owners. I also noticed several recent reviews from other patients saying the service had changed after the ownership change. I honestly wish I had read those reviews before making my appointment because my experience was very similar. If you're considering this place, I encourage you to read the recent reviews first. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can't recommend this practice, and I won't be back. Overall, I've had a much better experience with Costco Optometry.

This is the most thorough and organized place we have been to. They explain insurance very well. Other places we have been were never this detailed and would actually get information on our insurance wrong. Any questions we had were answered and everyone was very nice and friendly. The glasses selection they have is quite nice and a lot to choose from. We will definitely come back again next year.

I called Saratoga Vision Center and they empathized with my situation and just gave me 5 days worth of contacts free of charge after I showed them my prescription. I offered to pay and they wouldn't take my money. The lady I spoke with was an angel and the doctor was so kind. If they treat their non customers this way, imagine how they treat their customers. The doctors themselves are fine, but the front office staff are rude and completely unprofessional. They insist you show up 15 minutes before your appointment -- but the office isn't even open then. They bombard you with unnecessary reminder calls and texts even after the appointment is confirmed. Despite having active medical insurance (and my family having been patients here for years), I was refused service because the receptionist couldn't "validate" my policy -- even though there was no issue with it. The way they handled it was disrespectful and dismissive. I was left waiting, treated with no courtesy, and ultimately sent away. There are much better vision centers nearby with staff who actually know how to treat patients politely and professionally. I'll never go back.

The sweet lady at reception took care of them quickly and professionally. Made my day! Thank you! *Warby Parker Baird glasses. The screw holding the lens in fell out along with the lens. The screw is super tiny - none of the screws in any of my old pairs were small enough to fit. Calling Warby Parker I learned I could drive 10 miles to a local storefront (or brave the annoying mall) and they might be able to order the screw. Note that the number for their storefront got me a corporate script reader who couldn't tell me whether the store could solve my problem. Stevens Creek Optometry happens to be very close to my home and the whole process took less than 15 minutes -- including driving to and from.

Dr Xuan did a thorough eye exam and spend good time on that but when it comes to clarifying questions about our concerns, she was rude and short. I experienced that in both my visits(exam day and when picking up glasses). My daughter is diagnosed with hypermetropia and astigmatism and these are very new terms for us(and of course for many parents). I asked a simple question if there is anything to worry in the long run and she was straight in her response "thats how she(the kid) is. If getting her on prescription glasses worries you, then that it is!" I was expecting more empathy from the doctor which, I believe, every parent would. My husband did consult her over phone and she clarified a few things. I could not make this call and she was so reluctant to answer followup questions when I visited next to pickup glasses(there was no other patient waiting too for her to rush!) Without listening to my question she said I already spoke to your husband. I'd have appreciated if she could have shown more empathy in our in-person visits or simply said, please book another consultation for any followups. I am disturbed having this experience and will not recommend if you're looking to discuss any concerns about your loved ones. I'm checking other places to get answers to my open questions. This is a place for routine eye exam(maybe!) I hope Dr Xuan takes this as a constructive feedback and no one else go through this experience again. "Doctors are here to treat you physically, but also heal you emotionally and mentally as they are the ones you trust the most in difficult times."
