Will definitely be back! The service is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an optometrist!

I am so glad I switched to this Optometry! Very friendly service and the place is very clean. Most importantly, the payment and billing cost were made very clear to me. What I huge change from my previous Optometry. I used to go to be loyal to Family Eye Care center (total vision) in Campbell, but for many many years I always left my appointment annoyed because the fee they quote me before my appointment is not what they charge me at the end of the appointment. This happened also for contact orders. I was there almost 20 years, but i am so glad I left. Bella is so wonderful! The staff is very friendly and fee they quote me for my appointment and contact order is accurate. They were on time for my appointment and did a thorough eye exam. read more

I had the best optometry experience in decades at Bella X. The optometrist was super kind and very patient, and she was flexible in addressing a unique eyesight issue. Bella X has an outstanding selection of frames if you wear glasses - and their optician seems to know them well. She picked out a pair for me that I hadn't noticed; it was both fashionable and practical. The location is easy to get to and has plentiful parking (a rarity these days). Highly recommend for their expertise and friendliness. read more

I'm a big fan of this beautiful optical store. Specs has an amazing combination of stylish and attractive frame (not easily found elsewhere) and knowledgeable and friendly staff. Esther's experience in fashion is clearly evident not only in the frames she's selected for the shop but also in her recommendations for what suits a person's face, lifestyle, and glasses needs. Mary, one of the most experienced opticians I've ever seen, can answer any question you might have about lens fit, vision needs, etc. add to this that they now have a licensed optometrist on staff to do exams, and Specs is a full service boutique optical shop not to be missed. Added pluses are that it is a locally woman- owned (family business), and so you're supporting the local economy! If you were glasses for any reason, check out Specs. read more

Specs Optical is an amazing shop! It's located in a little strip plaza and parking here is very easy. I was the very lucky winner of their awesome Instagram contest for #NationalSunglassesDay and won a pair of sunglasses! How cool! Esther, her husband and their pup Riley are so sweet! You'll be in great hands! I had a choice of several pairs, and Esther was so patient while I tried on the different pairs. I chose an amazing Kenneth Cole pair featuring polarized lens. They are very cool, very lightweight and feel great on my face. They are definitely going to be my new go-to pair! They also came with a nice case and lens cloth. I browsed the rest of the shop while I was in and I was so utterly impressed with their very cool, curated collection of both eyeglasses and sunglasses. All of the glasses are so so stylish! There's really unique glasses here! If you're hunting down cool frames, you need to highly consider coming to Specs Optical! Esther is happy to help you choose a pair just right for you too. Even I think it's probably worth the drive from the far East Bay for their collection. It's really good! I didn't check prices, but Esther mentioned that they carry moderate to high end frames, so hopefully there's something for all budgets! This is a great shop! FYI: They speak both English and Mandarin as well. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Specs Family Optometry and couldn't have had a better experience. The optometrist, Dr. Emma Montez, was nothing short of amazing. Her knowledge and expertise are unmatched, and she clearly knows what she's doing. Dr. Montez made me feel comfortable right off the bat, and her professionalism and caring attitude throughout the entire visit were greatly appreciated. She took the time to answer all of my questions and address any concerns I had, making sure that I had a thorough understanding of my eye health and any recommended treatments. The staff at Specs Family Optometry were also fantastic. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. They made sure that I was comfortable throughout my visit and were very friendly and responsive to my needs. I can't forget about the stylish frames and amazing selection of eyewear; they had something for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend Specs Family Optometry and Dr. Emma Montez. If you're looking for expert eye care from a friendly and knowledgeable team, then this is the place for you! Also they have super cute friendly puppy you can play with while you shop for your lenses. read more

Most of awful service you can get. They will never give you a normal service. First of all they are not professional. They are about money only. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, FIND OTHER GOOD DOCTORS WHO WILL REALLY HELPS YOU. read more

The fine folks at Bella X Specs are the kindest, most caring, and most capable medical professionals I've ever had the privilege of working with. I had mostly resigned myself to having poor vision for the rest of my life, but Drs. Maranda and Mary took the time and effort to really work with me to get to an acuity that I haven't come anywhere near in over 20 years. Esther and the rest of the staff were great in scheduling and facilitating the appointment which at no point felt rushed. You can really tell that everyone here cares about patient health, the patient experience, and that they take great pride in their work and knowledge. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone with ocular health concerns, especially keratoconus like me, to seek care at Bella X Specs. read more

Personal hospitality and friendly service, very welcoming. Responds to email promptly and follow ups. What more can you ask for.

The thing I like the most is the quality frames and lens, etc. can't ask for more! Thank you again! Added more photos of what I got this time! read more

Bella X Specs Optometry - Some of my faves from specs - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Saratoga, California

I'm a happy repeat customer of Specs. Others have already covered the fantastic service and attention received. It was refreshing to find that a year and a half later, pandemic protocols are being taken seriously here. Every pair of frames I tried on was kept aside to be sanitized before being returned to the shelf. What I haven't seen other reviews mention is that they are quick to help me get my VSP insurance reimbursement for frames, lenses, and annual eye exam from their on-site eye doctor. You fill out a form after purchase with your insurance details and they mail it in for you like a mail-in rebate. Except unlike these new age mail in rebates, I get a check in the mail in under 3 weeks instead of a limited use gift card in 3 months (based on our family's last few insurance checks coming in reliably). read more

I have more, "specs" from Specs than I'm willing to admit to!! I stumbled upon the website a few years ago while looking for opticals. I decided to visit the shop and have been blown away ever since. I don't shop anywhere else. There is an enormous variety of opticals and sunnies to choose from. The staff is very friendly and patient!! Esther and Mary quickly became like family to me. Yes, they will be honest and help you pick the best frames for your face! The frames range from fashion-forward to classic and everything in between. I wear progressives and the lenses always are made perfectly. My kids and husband have also had exams here and have made purchases of glasses and contacts. This is a top-notch establishment, a woman-owned family business, and honestly, I'd be lost if I hadn't found this little gem! Thank you Specs!! XO read more

This enterprise is operated by a third generation family in the optical business. They are very proactive with the insurance coverage and was ready with my VSP information. Esther, Mary, Justine, and Dr. Emma Montez are wonderful! The team fitted my glasses diligently and precisely! The doctor was thorough and really good for my contacts as well. I highly recommend them for your optometry needs! read more

SPECS is the only place I use to purchase my eyewear. Esther is not only knowledgeable about the various types of materials and options that optimize your lens wearing experience, she is also superb at picking out styles that flatter your face. I walked in and had a super stylish pair of glasses chosen in minutes! Esther picked them out, I went on her recommendation....and these are likely not a style I would have even tried on. Compliments all time! SPECS has excellent customer service too. Support our local businesses....especially the ones that are excellent at what they do! read more

fantastic family service, so kind and helped me find my perfect fit. highly recommend!

I was recommended by a friend to Specs Optical. The store now has a sleek decor with a new selection of fashionable frames, after the current owner Esther took over the business from her mom. She was super patient and helpful even though I tried on literally half of the frames in the store. I ended up choosing the first frame that she picked out for me, which shows how good she is! I also loved how she gives out a free Ferrero Rocher when she brought my finished glasses out. I mean, who doesn't love chocolate right? Anyways, I would definitely recommend stopping by this place if you're looking for a new pair of glasses. read more

Great selection of glasses at an affordable price! Esther really knows how to take care of her customers.

The only thing good about this place is I got the appointment quickly. The glasses I got aren't of the right power and I couldn't wear it. The receptionist is very rude and she didn't help me to make the right choice of glasses for me. I won't recommend this place for anyone else. read more

I'm not the most fashionable person and definitely due to my face shape, very hard to find the right glasses! I really appreciate Esther Helping me find the perfect Gucci sunglasses for summer! She's very patient and has great Style recommendations. A lot of cool frames here! read more

Came here at the recommendation of a friend for a new pair of glasses, and was blown away by how friendly the staff was. They were extremely helpful in explaining all the options for my lenses, and showed the patience and professionalism it take to help the customer through the long frame selection process. The frame selection process was long because of all the brands and selections they offer. It was truly amazing how they fit everything into that space. I got my glasses on the date it was promised and couldn't be happier! Highly recommended! read more

I can't express enough how much I love Specs Optical! It's a one stop shop when it comes to your eye care. Esther is patient, knowledgeable and so sweet! She helped me try on a million frames and always kept a smile on her face! They have a wide variety of brands and have all the hottest trends & classic styles one could ask for, including designer. Thanks to Esther, I found my new pair of specs ;) I ended up going with Tom Ford! It was a hard decision, but Esther made it painless! I have been wearing my new glasses for a couple weeks now and the quality of lenses are amazing. Thank you for everything, Specs Optical! read more

This place was recommended to me from a good friend when I was in search of a non-hassle place to purchase a pair of glasses. That was a few years ago. Not sure why I'm the first one reviewing this business since they've been around for some time now, and not sure what others' experiences are here, but every time I've been here, they've been greatly helpful and have been quick to answer my questions. I bought a pair of glasses here two years ago, and they still fit wonderfully...which is also in part that my prescription hasn't changed much. I came back here again to get another pair, and they were on top of it to help me pick out another pair. Once the screws on my frame fell off, and I dropped by without notice and showed them, and they immediately fixed it and now it fits perfectly. Prices are reasonably affordable here too. I'll definitely use their services again when I'm in need of additional eyewear. read more

I was in search of a new pair of eyeglasses last year and decided to check out this shop during small business Saturday. So glad I popped in - the space was inviting and bright, and I really enjoyed the fact that the shop is family-owned and managed. The staff was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions. They also had a great selection of frames to choose from, from classic styles to trendy options. I walked away with a stylish pair of blush glasses that I'm STILL getting comments on today! Definitely plan on going back the next time I need a new pair of frames! read more

Honestly this is a no fuss and super affordable way to buy glasses. I was referred here by someone who was fitting me for contacts and I couldn't be happier. For those wondering, they speak Mandarin and English. Since my Mandarin is awful I spoke in English and had no problems. The prices are listed above each display and vary in price. They start at $89 and that includes the frame, lenses and anti reflective coating. Once you have given them your prescription and picked your frames, they place an order and your new glasses are ready in about 5 days. Unfortunately I don't think they make the lenses on site like some other places so waiting will be inevitable. Parking can be a problem but the shop is small and people are usually in and out with their glasses. They have a great selection of frames given the tiny storefront and they accept card. Also they have many styles that fit the flat noses and wide faces of most Asians. I'll most definitely be back, the service is quick, kind and no fuss. Plus there's another pair of frames I had my eye on. At $99, I can afford to get a back up pair of glasses now instead of just using my old pair. read more

Just bought new glasses here, what a great discovery! Checked out 3 shops before coming here. Fantastic personal customer service from the moment we walked in, sleek new decor, and good variety of frames we didn't see elsewhere. Take advice from the owner, she has excellent suggestions and picked frames for my high school daughter which she loved. These frames were lower priced than other places. Turnaround was fast, glasses were ready within the week, and they submitted vsp paperwork for us. Happy to highly recommend this new small business! read more

If you're needing a new pair of glasses, look no further! Such a beautiful boutique with great friendly customer service! I recently went in to purchase a new pair of sunglasses and Esther was SO helpful in answering all my questions and recommending some very flattering frames. Who knew there were so many things to consider when buying sunglasses! Even during these crazy COVID-19 times, her store was clean and you could tell from the moment you walked in that she took extra precautions to make sure everyone felt safe while shopping. They have so many great options at different price points to accommodate every clientele and Esther is so knowledgeable in finding those perfect pair that's made for you and your lifestyle. She helped me find the most beautiful pair of Gucci sunglasses and I cannot wait to pick them up! Thank you so much Esther for making sunglasses shopping such an easy and fun experience! read more

I had been putting off a trip to the optometrist for quite awhile but then realized while driving that I was starting to have trouble reading street signs. I quickly booked an appointment at Specs Optical in Saratoga and am so glad I did. I got a complete eye exam from Dr Ly. It was completely painless and noninvasive and she was able to write me a prescription right there! With my freshly dilated eyes, I was then able to look at their selection of frames! Specs has a BEAUTIFUL selection of high end frames. These are not the cheap ones you get at Lens Crafters or the try on pairs you can get in the mail. I tried on several pairs by Dior, Tom Ford and settled on a pair of gorgeous Gucci frames! Esther measured my face and eyes for the frames (Note: If you buy frames over the internet and don't get them actually fitted by a professional, you are really missing out. It's the only way to get an exact fit) I got my glasses about a week later! They also billed my insurance for me! Overall a great experience and I am always happy to support local and family owned businesses. Definitely check it out if you are in the need for an eye exam or some nicer frames! read more

Esther and her husband are incredible! My mother and I have been coming here for several years and it is cool to see how it has been passed down from mother to daughter and transforms through personal touch. I hadn't had new glasses for 4 years and Esther took the time to walk me through my new prescription and try on different frames till we found the right one! They also have some great sales for back to school and discount frame- lens combo. I was leaving town soon but they got my glasses done in a day! Highly recommend checking them out, they have great customer service and a wise variety of frames and lens options. read more

Their service is excellent! Esther is very professional and friendly. They have a very large variety of frames for me to choose. Found this gem one day close to my school Deanza because I needed to find a replacement for some glasses I broke. The place isn't that big but they have a HUGE variety of frames I've never seen before. They have everyday daily wear to super nice luxury frames. Esther is very kind and helped me fill out my insurance claim with no issues. Best selection in the area. read more

Great selection! I have had trouble finding glasses that fit my nose (no bridge) and didn't sit on my cheeks. Almost everything there fits. They have a range of pricing from affordable to luxury, and every style. Great service as well! read more

I found great frames with clip-ons at a reasonable price (even better during a special promotion). So i filled a challenging prescription from our family eye doctor and found after a week that it was way too strong. After discussing it with Esther, we did a similar eye exam at Specs which yielded a lighter prescription. Esther then discussed the results with our family eye doctor and they agreed on a lighter prescription. I was so relieved. The stronger lenses were causing headaches. The re-do was covered by the shop's warranty and I was grateful for Esther's help in sorting out the prescription. The new glasses look and feel great, vision is more crisp. Specs is a great shop for frame selections at good prices. I shopped around at other area optical shops and they don't compare. But service is unbeatable at an owner-run shop like Specs. Thanks, Esther ! We'll be back when we're ready for another pair. read more
