Magic can be corny sometimes, but Chase nails it with his adult themed jokes and playful, silly personality. His beautiful wife Kaileigh leads the cabaret with dancers and also has some tricks also! The audience participation is great. Because it makes the performer look very authentic. Chase had us laughing the whole time, and the magic was impressive. There's a short 15 minute intermission to grab more cocktails for the second half. The show could have been longer, and I'd still be entertained. "Nocturnal" is definitely a show worth seeing when in Reno! If you want something "kid-friendly" they have earlier shows called "That's Magic". I would watch "Nocturnal" again!

Every night, they host "that's magic", which is a family, friendly illusion, and variety show, and then also on Friday and Saturday, they host their late show "nocturnal", which also has amazing illusions, as well as more adult humor, and some very beautiful dancers. Both are hosted by the husband and wife, duo of Chase and. Kayleigh. I saw the "nocturnal" show, and I loved it. . Chase is the MC, and he also does illusions from slieight of hand, to illusions such as cutting a woman from the audience in half without a box, and a great straitjacket, escape, ala, Harry Houdini. The jokes are fast and furious, and definitely adult oriented, there is a lot of interaction with the audience, and bringing audience members on stage. There's never a dull moment. The dancers are beautiful, and yes, a little provocative, but definitely not dirty. The show never slows down. It's a 90 minute show with a 15 minute intermission, and it's entertaining from the beginning until the end. The price for the show is very reasonable, but they get you with both the cocktails, and the snack bar for the theater. I bought a small thing of popcorn, and a 20 ounce soda, and I was out 16 bucks. That's a bit ridiculous. Other than that, the show was amazing. Thank you for a fantastic evening....

Well designed, lots of bars and bathrooms. It's easy to get in and out. Traffic flow is usually not too bad. They do have construction happening for the new arena, which means that parking at the GSR is limited, so be aware on show nights and come a bit early. The bar prices are semi-reasonable. They have beer, canned cocktails, and some wine choices. They also have light snacks for purchase, but no real food options. The primary challenge with this venue is the sound. It's just not great. The echoes are noticeable, and it's often way too loud in here. I always feel like I need my earplugs at this venue. Many reviews tell you how great their show was, and I think they are confusing the show quality with the venue quality. The shows here are great, but that doesn't have anything to do with the venue itself. If you are looking for a top-shelf auditory experience, you might want to consider seeing your show at another venue. If you're okay with some sound imperfections, the Grand Theatre is a perfectly fine venue.

They hosts a myriad of events ranging from their in-house theater productions to recurring music series and community events. The venue is versatile and accommodating for the different events I have attended at the space. During these types of shows, there are always drinks and light snacks available for purchase. I appreciate the variety of drinks available. There is usually 1 beer on draft as well as other canned options. Or, enjoy yourself a little more and do a canned cocktail! The staff is always friendly, and the facility clean. The parking can be a little difficult (as is the case for most places in Midtown), but as long as you arrive early you can find a spot within a block of the theater. Regardless of how much I like the show I am seeing, I know RLT will provide a space that is comfortable and welcoming. The schedule is thoughtful and community oriented, so it is likely to be an enjoyable event.

Loved the first two opening acts. They were great and I loved their choice in music. It was the old school vaudeville burlesque style. As acts continued we had clothing and music from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The final act had to be from the present since I didn't recognize the music. Each performer did a fantastic job at costume and music selection, as well as putting together the right theatrical dance. I enjoyed the old school feel of the show. I did miss a fan dance- a Sally Rand impersonation would have topped off the night. Right up front the audience was told how the troupe is about celebrating the woman- no matter their sexual orientation, color or size. Any ill manners are not tolerated and you will be removed promptly. It takes quite a bit of nerve to perform in front of so many strangers. If you ever see the name, catch the show.

There was no "Row" and there was a whole lot more coemption back then. Harrah's, Harolds Club, Mapes, Silver Spur and others. There was a grocery store where the Silver Legacy now sits, and the Eldorado was a standalone offering. Given its age and how many casinos have come and gone since they opened, the property is well maintained and seems to keep with the times. The buffet was the last one in downtown with high-quality food (sad loss). What remains of the food choices is solid including the amazing coffee and freshest pastry shop, they are worthy competitors for the area. The Row concept has really kept the Eldorado a viable choice for visitors because they essentially get 3 very different casinos for the price of 1 under one continuous roof, all with free parking. Don't forget the many downtown events that they sponsor or are very involved with. The 44th Great Italian Festival is coming up October 10 & 11th in 2026. It is typically the 2nd weekend in October annually.

But we were pleasantly mistaken - What used to be a bowling alley has now been repurposed into an absolute wonderland of an experience. It's a full blown kid friendly adult friendly haunted warehouse. My 4 year old son had an absolute blast, it starts of with a bit of trick or treating as your making your way through the adventure, then turns into a full on experience as each and every room has a theme from Jurassic park, aliens, robots, clowns, skeletons, a mirror room that I conveniently banged my head into, all the way to the super psychedelic tunnel. Which leads you to the Macabre mansion - for adults and children too. THEY ARE EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING- asking how scary you'd like the experience to be. Seeing as my Little guy is 4 we asked for no jump scares. And made it through enjoying every bit of the way. My little guy hugged the zombie, high fives leather face and complimented his chainsaw, noting it looked like it could use some oil, but the blood would do. We had an absolute blast. They are doing a Christmas themed experience as well. The owner has a dream, retired and sunk all of her savings into an experience we can all appreciate. I got a Groupon to do a month of acting classes. I was just looking for a fun activity for her, she was only four years old at the time. She has been going to Take 2 Performer's Studio ever since and adores it. Not only are they amazing with the kids, but they are so warm and caring. They really foster a great learning atmosphere for the kids here. That is what I love most about this place. I love that it is locally owned and managed by a mom too! Five years ago, after only maybe two acting lessons, a Hollywood talent agency visited the studio and all of the students were allowed to audition if they wanted. This type of audition happens a couple times a year there. A handful of kids were called back by the agency, and my daughter was one of them! It was such a big surprise to us and she was, naturally, delighted to get to go to Hollywood. She did get signed and has since been a principle character on a famous television show. Not only did she LOVE getting to go to LA, but she was thrilled that she got paid really well too. There is nothing like letting your child do something they love to do, but also fill up their college savings account! Since that fun start, our little girl has been taking lessons for acting and voice here. She has had a little training there for modeling too. The school puts on great plays which we love. Like right now, they are rehearsing for a Christmas play. Our daughter has gotten to perform in front of hundreds of people both singing and acting through Take 2. "Stage Fright" is not in her vocabulary. She has gained so much confidence. She has also done runway modeling for local malls a couple times, which was really fun, through Take 2. Really, Take 2 gives their students great tools and amazing opportunities. We really feel like the management tries hard to give the kids as many opportunities as possible to utilize what they are learning. They make the lessons fun, so the kids see it as "play" but really they are learning a ton. I look back to how we started this fun journey with a Groupon for a month of acting classes and it amazes me how much my child has gotten out of her training at Take 2.

We opted for the one class per week deal to see if he would actually like it. He absolutely LOVES it! Waters (acting), Colette (modeling), Claire (modeling), Holly (improv) and Justine the owner and so easy to talk to and very professional. Did I mention Grace Hayes is the children's voice coach? She made it through the auditions to American Idol! There are several other instructors as well, but I have not had the pleasure of meeting them yet. One more thing, Justine also owns Tru Talent Agency where she connects people to commercials, events and the like in our area (yes, my son has already been in a commercial and soon other fun things!).
