I saw the many rave reviews and decided that this must be "the place". I'm going to be as objective…read moreas possible while setting the record straight- the staff were all good, and offering breakfast, appetizers and cookies/fire/s'mores in the evening was a really nice touch. As others have mentioned, the breakfast wasn't great, but we were travelling with little kids so having something to get the day started is really important (A for effort, C- for execution). They had a decent selection of beer and wine to order in the evenings (at reasonable prices for a hotel). The grounds were pretty nice. Things fall short of expectations when you get to the accommodations and location. Our cabin felt old and dilapidated, not "historic" in the sense of the Ahwahnee Lodge (Yosemite) or Lake MacDonald Lodge (Glacier). You walk in to a slightly damp environment that smells a bit like septic mixed with old camp fire. The couch, and carpet were pretty gross. Beds were mediocre, and although the sheets looked clean, the setup wasn't exactly confidence inspiring. Rooms are not cleaned daily, and since we have little people in diapers, we opted to just put the trash can outside. Perhaps the worst part was that we were put into the AFrame cabin with no possibility to change rooms (that's not what I booked). There's a steep ladder that leads to the second bed upstairs. This arrangement is not realistic or safe with toddlers. Overall, everything was just, kinda... shabby. "Historic" in the context of the Weasku is a euphemism for "run-down". As for location, if you think you're going to be right on the Rogue, you'd be mistaken. There's an irrigation ditch that runs directly behind the cabins, fed by a pump house about 100 yards away. If you do walk down to the river, be careful because this section is very dangerous/inhospitable. The river is really swift there, so it's not good for fishing (yes, no fishing spots there!), not good for kids, no beach stuff... but plenty of spiked berry brambles and poison oak if that's your thing. Road noise is constant and detracts from the vibe of peaceful seclusion. Interstate 5 is hidden by trees just on the other side of the river, so you'll hear that all night long. As for Grants Pass, unless you've got a reason to be there, you'd be better off somewhere like Ashland. The Weasku served our needs, and we all escaped without bedbugs or scabies. Would I stay again? Not if you paid me. Rating reflects great staff and nice grounds, with negative stars for accommodations.

We were driving through the area and decided to stop somewhere quiet and naturalistic to chill out…read morefor two nights. I saw some very positive reviews for The Weasku Inn on the Rogue River, so I booked it. I am SO glad I did! The lodge is nostalgic of days gone by, built in 1924-- so quaint and lovely. On arrival, a warm staff met us and we checked in to a picturesque cabin facing the river. Perfect! King sized SUPER comfy bed stacked high with lovely quilts. The cabin featured a lovely mountain-style, working rock fireplace with a comfy couch facing the fireplace, looking out onto the trees with the river beyond. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Weasku offers "appetizers" in the evening--which really is more like a meal. If you are still hungry after the appetizer hours, which we were not, restaurants for dinner are just a quick 5 minute drive away. There is a bar available to purchase wines, beer and ciders, if you wish, available all day long with complementary coffees and teas, as well. And the FULL breakfast is SO well done; not like those plastic, poorly done "breakfasts" served at many places--THIS is a proper, complete breakfast meal. There is a fire pit for evenings and complementary "s'more"kits are available for toasting on the fire. The Weasku staff were so warm and friendly and all seemed to be pleased to see us! We will most certainly return to this lovely spot. If what you want is a respite from the crazy, a quiet cozy place to relax and comfortable accommodations, you will love The Weasku. Amenities worth mentioning: Cabin includes: *TV *Hair dryer *Complimentary Wi-fi *Charging station for

The listings on Zillow and Trulia clearly state that video tours are available, but when I called to ask where we could view the video tour, Tracy from Expert Properties told me no video exists because they "weren't able to get one before the current tenants moved in." This directly contradicts what the listing advertises. There were also no photos of the exterior of the building, only a few poor-quality interior shots. When I asked if they could provide any photos of the outside, Tracy said none were available because of "mud" and again insisted that we should just pay the $110 and apply anyway. At that point, it felt extremely suspicious. Expecting prospective renters to pay non-refundable application fees before they've even seen the outside of a property (while advertising tours that don't actually exist) is unreasonable and raises serious red flags. Renters should be very cautious before paying application fees under circumstances like these, because professional property management companies do not behave this way. This seems to be a scam operation with good reviews that look fabricated. UPDATE: after reading the reviews on their second website (why they have two websites, I'm not sure, but I think it's because of all the bad reviews on their original site)- it's clear that this IS a scam operation. They will take your application fee money knowing full well you're not approved BEFORE they take it, they will steal your security deposit however they can, and the apartments are dirty (I guess that's why they don't do viewings at all). Wish I would've read the reviews before even interacting with this company, but hopefully this review deters future renters.

LONG STORY BELOW. BEWARE!…read more THE OWNER OF ASURENT, LISA PETRINI, THREATENED ME FOR MY HONEST REVIEW! I slightly revised this review, today April 29, 2026 as a few problems were resolved on April 28th. Lisa, I investigated the law and you have nothing on me. This is protected speech. Have your lawyer check the S.L.A.P.P. law. I'm retired and I'll be happy to go to Medford several times to see you in court. There will be no arbitration on your efforts to stop me from exercising my First Amendment rights. Our experience has involved serious issues with financial handling, communication, and decision-making. The owner, Lisa, withheld over $500 from our owner disbursement, claiming an unpaid utility bill with the City of Ashland. This claim is incorrect. I contacted the City directly and received written confirmation that somebody (I thought it was the tenants, but, Lisa said it wasn't) established their own service, our account is fully paid, and the landlord account was closed. I emailed the city's communication to Lisa. Despite this, Lisa refused to acknowledge the City's confirmation and continued to claim she did not received a response from them. SERIOUSLY BAD NEWS REGARDING UTILITIES. TENANTS BEWARE!!! Added tonight on April 29, 2026 - The City of Ashland emailed me. Lisa Petrini, owner of Asurent, closed the utilities account for the property and left the tenants without utilities, including electricity, water, sewer, and other city services. The missing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were photo documented during the original walk through with the staff of Asurent Property Management. See below for the response I received from Lisa Petrini. The original review was dated April 24, 2026. On April 28, 2026 Lisa threatened me for the review. I revised the review on April 29, 2026. We were also informed that tenants reported a gas smell--an issue that should be treated as an emergency. I immediately directed our contractor and Jahnke (HVAC) to inspect for a potential gas leak, as Asurent indicated it may be related to the HVAC system. Asurent then stated that the gas company had already responded and shut off the service. However, when our contractor and Jahnke arrived, the gas was on, and no leak could be detected using their equipment. During this same discussion and following threats, Lisa claimed that required smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were not present. This is highly questionable. The home was fully remodeled prior to engaging Asurent, and all required detectors were installed. Asurent also completed an initial walkthrough with us at that time. Given the inconsistencies already noted, this claim raises further concerns. Lisa claims she has the walk through documents stating that there are missing detectors. I ASKED HER FOR THE WALK THROUGH DOCUMENTS IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE DETECTORS WERE NOT PRESENT. SHE HAS NOT PROVIDED ME WITH THESE DOCUMENTS. We've experienced holds on our net proceeds (deposits minus expenses) that were not released until my threats were issued. See above about the threats from the property manager. We have encountered inconsistent information in regards to utilities, expenses and repairs. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company to other property owners.

As a previous tenant, I do not recommend this company based on my experience with them, for…read moremultiple reasons. Communication lacked from the moment I moved in. However, their move-out and deposit practices were unprofessional. In my case, a portion of my deposit was withheld for cleaning charges, despite the unit being returned in cleaner condition than when I moved in. At move-in, the apartment contained a pee-stained mattress, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and footprints on the counter. I expressed this and no one ever responded so just dealt with it myself. At move-out, I arranged and paid for professional carpet cleaning, provided a receipt for this service, and uploaded multiple photos documenting the condition of the unit. I was charged a $385 cleaning fee for a one-bedroom apartment in addition to a separate additional carpet cleaning charge. When I requested itemized receipts and clarification regarding the charges, Lisa did not provide itemized documentation in a timely manner and was unable to clearly explain the specific services when we spoke in person. She attributed the need for cleaning to dog hair, afterwards; however, dog hair is not visible in the photos submitted and she could not provide proof. I had also initially requested a move-out walk-through, which was denied. They don't do those. When I questioned these issues and raised concerns about inconsistencies in the explanations I received, Lisa stated that she would file a counter-defamation claim. I ultimately chose not to pursue the matter further, for my own peace, but I believe it is important to share these details for other prospective tenants to consider as it seems to be ongoing.

Coffee, yogurt, pancake machine, sweet rolls, instant oatmeal, and juice. Pool and hot tub. Pool towels are located at Pool. They have bathrooms in that location as well. The room was a 2 queen bed. It had a mini- refrigerator, microwave, desk, and extra seating. They had a clean bathroom, toiletries and extra towels. Location near several restaurants (In-N-Out, Sizzler, etc.), ice cream shop (Utters) and Dutch Bro coffee shop. I gave it a 4 star for the following reason. SEVERAL times we had to get the room key fixed. The carpet did not looks or feel clean. There are minor fixes. Hope they get these small issues fixed to continue to be future returning guests.

That being said- the carpets are old and appear heavily stained. The chair in our room was stained. There were no drawers or closet. The bedding was very thin and the bed was not comfortable. The breakfast was in a small room and other than coffee they had apples a couple granola bars and some packaged muffins. The vending machine had a sign informing people the drinks were not cold and the snack machine only took dollar bills. This hotel can be doable for only a nights stay and it is in a central location- but I would keep looking if you are considering it.
