I was OK with just some eggs honestly but oh no! they were committed to 100% customer satisfaction! By the way, she also offered us a glass of wine after we've checked in and she's showed us to our room! She actually brought it to us...what?????!!!! A beautiful property, excellent innkeepers, beautiful room, tres romantic, I hate to write this because I would hate for the rest of the world to know!! We stayed here during an Oregon Shakesperare Festival trip and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff/owners are amazing. Very friendly, helpful, but not in any way intrusive. The accomodations are great. The House itself is on the National Historic Register and have been well taken care of. The breakfast was awesome--homemade granola with fruit and yogurt--delicious! One thing to keep in mind is that if you're considering this for accomodations for an OSF trip, you may want to reconsider. It is over half an hour from Ashland, so not very convenient if you want to stop back by between shows or shopping. Very nice place, well staffed. Highly recommended.

Jeanie and Russ, the owners of this 1913 home, are excellent hosts and great breakfast cooks. We had french toast with fresh berries, poached eggs and bacon one day and blueberry muffins, omelets and locally made sausage the second morning. We stayed in the Royal King Suite. It was a spacious room with comfortable sitting area, fireplace, jacuzzi tub and high quality bed. Both suites have private entrances. In addition to the two bed and breakfast suites, this property is also a wedding venue with a gazebo, tent for the reception, and even a vintage automobile. Jeanie has been a wedding coordinator for many years and adds her special expertise to the many weddings they have each year. We hope to return soon when we come to the Rogue Valley again.

Now that I've been to Doubletree Ranch several times, two things stand out to me that make this a…read moreunique experience: the hosts and the ranch itself. To start, Rick and Carol are about the best hosts you can imagine. Carol seems to go out of her way to accommodate almost anything you could possibly need, and Rick has some sort of photographic memory in which he remembers things we talked about over a year prior. I'm always greeted with a personalized note on my cabin, and if Rick or Carol aren't around to welcome me, one of the other cabin guests is just as likely to hail me in. Rick and Carol are hosts in the traditional sense- they are sharing their actual home with you, and want to make you feel like you're at home too. The other host that seems to go under-recongized is Shadow, the neighbor's dog who seems to turn up whenever someone wants to go for a hike or fire up the grill. Everyone loves Shadow! And she even seems to get along *really* well with every guest dog I've seen too. The ranch itself is a seemingly endless 160 acres of riverside property composed of woods, meadows, hills, trails and beaches. It's basically nature, complete with wild flowers, plants and animals- land that was once used by Native Americans, homesteaded by Rick and Carol's own family in the 1800s and passed down through the generations. While the trails aren't marked, they are wide, very obvious, well maintained and crisscross the property connecting the meadows with horse pastures, barnes, and ridges with amazing views of the valley below. Most are very easy and accessible to people of all ages. The beach is a particularly good spot for relaxing and swimming, and chairs are provided for guests in a small wagon that remains about 50 feet up shore from the water. It's fun to wave at the jetboats as the zoom by too. Accommodations at the ranch range from moderate-sized cabins (all hand-built by Rick himself) that sleep 4 or 5 to the large house overlooking the main meadow that sleeps about 12. There are also a few extra options like the covered wagon, with room for two, or the wall tents down by the river at the horse camp. So far I've stayed in two of the cabins and they have both proven very comfortable, cool, quiet and private. The screen porches are a really nice touch too, and the WiFi works great. I frequently find myself wishing that I could just let it all go and stay Doubletree Ranch forever. We can all dream I suppose.

Beyond that, Marc & Terry made us feel so welcome! They are knowledgeable, helpful, great cooks. The homemade biscuits and jelly are WOW. They are so organized that it seems like they are hardly doing anything! We could not have enjoyed our stay more. We also enjoyed hiking on the rogue River Trail to the fantastic views of Mule Creek Canyon, and it is also a short hike to the historic Rogue River Ranch.

The food was incredible and the views breathtaking. We can't wait to find another time to return.

The view from our bedroom deck was both majestic and serene of the mountains in the distance. And unlike most places we've stayed, the deck and the deck furniture were actually clean! You could sit out on them and enjoy the view. Fortunately, we had a large lunch on the way to The Manor. It is in a remote area, and unless you want to cook yourself, your only choice for dinner is a long drive back into town. The other factor to note, is that the air conditioning is central and turned off at night. Our room did not really cool down despite open windows. We are from a cool climate, and the heat was difficult. Overall, if you're looking for an out-of-the-way quiet bed and breakfast get-away, this is the place for you. If you're looking for state of the art lodging close to town activities and restaurants this would not be your best choice.
