We had an incredibly comfy king size bed and each of the kids had their own twin (including the roll away that magically appeared when we were at dinner). My wife enjoyed a much deserved post Christmas soak in the claw foot tub and the quaint kitchenette (with a bottle of local wine, cinnamon bread, and breakfast goodies) made us feel more at home then any chain hotel ever could. Walking distance to amazing restaurants and shops in Jacksonville makes this a fantastic little relaxing destination. Looking forward to coming back in summer to enjoy the swimming pool, hot tub, and with a bigger group, the main house.

Her breakfast surpassed every expectation we could've imagined. John does a magnificent job maintaining the ground and the gardens. The view from our bedroom deck was both majestic and serene of the mountains in the distance. And unlike most places we've stayed, the deck and the deck furniture were actually clean! You could sit out on them and enjoy the view. Fortunately, we had a large lunch on the way to The Manor. It is in a remote area, and unless you want to cook yourself, your only choice for dinner is a long drive back into town. The other factor to note, is that the air conditioning is central and turned off at night. Our room did not really cool down despite open windows. We are from a cool climate, and the heat was difficult. Overall, if you're looking for an out-of-the-way quiet bed and breakfast get-away, this is the place for you. If you're looking for state of the art lodging close to town activities and restaurants this would not be your best choice.

The room rate includes a three course breakfast and being diabetic the owner took pains to find out and even discuss with me what to make for me! I was blown away! I was OK with just some eggs honestly but oh no! they were committed to 100% customer satisfaction! By the way, she also offered us a glass of wine after we've checked in and she's showed us to our room! She actually brought it to us...what?????!!!! A beautiful property, excellent innkeepers, beautiful room, tres romantic, I hate to write this because I would hate for the rest of the world to know!! We stayed here during an Oregon Shakesperare Festival trip and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff/owners are amazing. Very friendly, helpful, but not in any way intrusive. The accomodations are great. The House itself is on the National Historic Register and have been well taken care of. The breakfast was awesome--homemade granola with fruit and yogurt--delicious! One thing to keep in mind is that if you're considering this for accomodations for an OSF trip, you may want to reconsider. It is over half an hour from Ashland, so not very convenient if you want to stop back by between shows or shopping. Very nice place, well staffed. Highly recommended.

Beyond that, Marc & Terry made us feel so welcome! They are knowledgeable, helpful, great cooks. The homemade biscuits and jelly are WOW. They are so organized that it seems like they are hardly doing anything! We could not have enjoyed our stay more. We also enjoyed hiking on the rogue River Trail to the fantastic views of Mule Creek Canyon, and it is also a short hike to the historic Rogue River Ranch.
