There is no obnoxious dance music or 300 pound bro's hanging out making people uncomfortable. People are free to work with trainers or on their own. I enjoyed working out next to people of all ages. The space is designed with functional training in mind: there are foam rollers, resistance bands, step stools, balance poles, pilates equipment, open mats, all next to the brand new treadmills, weights, and all the usual gym fare. The space is physical therapy-friendly and owners clearly take an ability-oriented approach. Finally, when I misread the hours and had to pay a one-time fee to work out elsewhere on a Sunday, the owner refunded me my 5$ that I paid to another business. I am truly very impressed.

Two employees ( both females) were setting up a tanning session for a gentleman and then literally walked away ...when he asked what was going on with his bed. Their response was basically "we're off duty" and they didn't even acknowledge him after that. The new employee coming on had no idea what was happening, which beds were in use, or what the customer needed. So the customer was left standing there confused because the outgoing staff decided that being off the clock meant customer service no longer mattered, even though they were still in Planet Fitness gear and still inside the building. I just think that's really poor customer service. Shift change should be seamless for the customer, not a handoff where someone gets ignored. Being off duty doesn't mean you stop being professional on your way out the door.

My reservations however are with the lack administrative discipline involving physical altercations at the gym. I was stretching upstairs on the second story room and I observed a man very large in stature begin shouting at two young teenagers. The teenage boy had accidentally used a piece of equipment that the man had previously been using. As a result the man had a complete conniption in which he began swearing, using profane language ,and actually verbally threating the teenager. The boy was frozen and apologized yet still the man ripped the piece of equipment from his hands and repeatedly threatened the teenager again. I immediately reported the infraction to the staff and I was informed it was documented and passed along to management as well as the surveillance footage reviewed. I also provided my phone number in case admin had any questions or needed any more information. The two teenagers were also interviewed. I called to follow up in regards to what action would be taken against the belligerent gym member and I was informed he was contacted by phone and reprimanded however his gym membership was still active. As polite and well mannered as these employees have been towards me I cannot support a facility that will allow such inappropriate behavior towards two individuals that are essentially children. If you're considering joining this gym and bringing your family I strongly urge you to reconsider. This is not the type of treatment or safety system I would feel comfortable in especially on account of their tolerance for volatile and belligerent behavior. Again was satisfied in every other way and would be happy to change my review and renew my membership should things change, but safety measures are very important and this was neglectful.
