This bar practices discrimination be aware.
I got a discount card from zodiac entertainment and found they had karaoke on Sunday night at Rogers Roost. It's not too far from my house so rode my bicycle and parked in the back and walked in the back door.
The first thing I noticed was this place smells like a toilet. But many of the bars I sing karaoke at smell like toilets so I continued through the bar. The bar looked more like a restaurant and I was amazed that they serve food at a place that smells like a toilet. But I didn't see anyone eating, so I wasn't that surprised.
The karaoke host had told me before that it was industry night but she could get me the same deal everyone else gets. I stopped going into the Baraboo lounge because they had industry night. Industry night is discrimination against people who do not have restaurant jobs. I saved my receipt from the Baraboo, because I was going to sue them for discrimination for industry night. I had paid $7.50 for two beers where everyone else only paid $3.75 for the same two beers. A man had all ready sued a bar for ladies night and won $10 million, so I thought suing for industry night would be easy lawsuit win. Some bars still practice discrimination with ladies night, but they can get out of a lawsuit by having a men's night, with the same drinks specials. The bars that don't know this, are still opening up themselves for a lawsuit. Most people don't sue, because they don't know how to, but anyone can go down to the court and file a lawsuit, you don't actually need a lawyer, when you have the facts.
So I walked up to the bar and showed the bartender the discount card from Zodiac and she was a real bitch. With a real bitch attitude she said, "That card is not worth anything". I told her I knew the karaoke host and she told me I can get the industrial night discount and she said with the same bitchy attitude, "well she will have to put it on her tab,". I told her industry night was discrimination and she just argued with me that it wasn't. She's a bartender because she's not a lawyer and would never make a lawyer, even if she stayed in school, because you can't win an argument by saying I'm right and you're wrong. In America all people are treated equal and when people are not treated equal, that's discrimination and you opened yourself up for a discrimination lawsuit. So Rogers Roost on Schoenherr Road practices discrimination just like the Great Baraboo Brewing Co, Charter Township on Utica Road.
I was ready to walk out of the place rate then and there because the bar maid was such a bitch and they practice discrimination, but I really wanted to sing karaoke and I already rode my bicycle 2 1/2 miles to get there so I asked what kind of special can I get.
They had dollar draft beers. They were like 6 or 8 ounce mugs. I ordered a Budwiser but it didn't tast like any of the Budwisers I had at other bars or at home. The beer tasted like someone put acid in it and it was very hard to drink. The barmaid could tell there was something wrong with the beer and asked me if it was okay I said no but she did not offer me another one. I wondered if this beer special was a bait and switch where they offer you a dollar beer, put some kind of citric acid in the beer to get you to buy a more expensive beer.
I stayed long enough to sing two karaoke songs but only drank about three sips of beer to try to figure out why it tasted like acid. The bar was pretty dead and I wanted to wait to see if it got busier later but as it got later the bar started emptying out. I asked the bartender whaty I owed and left at midnight. She said a dollar and I gave her a dollar without leaving the bitch a tip. I felt like saying that the beer should be free because it tastes like acid the dollar is the tip, but she didn't deserve a tip. I should've took a sample of the beer to have it tested. I'm sure it must have been some kind of bait and switch, make cheap beer taste like crap to get someone to buy more expensive beer. But I'll never go to the bar again and I will never associate with anyone who goes to this bar because it practices discrimination which means the people who go to it, see nothing wrong with practicing discrimination.
I feel sorry for the people who live within walking distance on this bar and have to drive 5 miles to go to a decent bar, they really should get together and try to put this bar out of business. My throat is still burning from drinking them three sips of acidy beer last night, if anyone knows what they put in that beer and would like to get in on the lawsuit let me know.
I would give this bar/restaurant a half a star but one star is the lowest I can go. read more
