When the Rogers family ran the business it was good! sadly with the new people NOT SO MUCH!!!

Very Good Service. I stopped by and my Emmissions test was done right away. Plenty of parking.

sean manages this shop very well. price of oil change fairly reasonable and they did a great job replacing my brakes, rotor and calipur.

I brought my jeep grand Cherokee in to this business on 6/23 for an oil change and to replace the ac. The communication from the start was poor, and it took until Tuesday 6/27 to even get an estimate. Once I got the estimate, they explained that the housing for the oil needed to be replaced and they needed a part for the ac. The car was supposed to be ready yesterday. Right before I was supposed to pick it up, they call and say the AC needs to be completely taken apart which would be an extra $2000 on top of everything else. This was completely misleading, as the agreement was for fixing the ac and the oil. I'm left with a car with no air conditioning and it barely even started when I took it out of the shop. Not only that, but the check engine light is on, which wasn't even there when I took it in. I feel like this business engaged in intentional misleading practices in order to squeeze extra money out of me. If the ac was going to be that much work and cost, they should have told me that up front and conveyed that in the estimate. read more

I am always skeptical of any car repair/tow service that I utilize since I tend to be viewed stereotypically as not knowing about automobiles. I was pleasantly surprised by Rogers with their professionalism and courtesy. I needed a tow service on a Sunday at the last minute and Jeff from the shop arrived early (less than 30 mins - a rarity in the car tow business), he was polite and extremely knowledgeable about the issue I was experiencing with my car. I also needed advice on how to handle my car situation and he gave me many options, including what would be best for the lowest price possible. He never rushed me nor seemed like a scammer. He had my car trouble wiped away in less than 30 mins as well. I would highly recommend this business and would utilize them again in a heartbeat. read more

I too will preface this review with the fact that I know very little about cars and found this place via Yelp. Thanks to Yelp and my smartphone I did not get slaughter by an auto repair shop while I was heading off to a four day weekend when my car broke down midway! Back story: The boyfriend and I decide to stop off for lunch before we continue our 5 hour drive up to Maine. We came back out from a satisfying meal to continue our journey onward only to find that my car would not start. My boyfriend open the hood and tinker around, but to no avail, it just would not cooperate. He figure people in CT are super nice, so let's just get the jumper cable ready and ask a nice stranger if we could use his/her battery to jump start our car. While we were waiting for someone to pass by, I tried to start the car again and miraculously it started!! My boyfriend suggest we bring it to an auto place to get it check out since we still have quite a bit of driving ahead of us and it'll be worst to have the car break down in the middle of nowhere. We drove around a bit while I furiously search on yelp for a good auto place and I'm glad I've found Rogers Automotive. We drove up and was greeted right away. Sure enough, once I turn off the engine it would not start again. An elderly man, I made the assumption that he was Roger, came to look at the car. I was totally on the chopping board and if Roger was dishonest he could've made an easy killing as I know nothing about cars and I was miles away from home. Alas, he was extremely straightforward and told us it's the best thing that could happen because it's just a connector issue, which he can replace for 25 bux!!?! It's really hard to find someone you trust to fix your car - over the past two months I've had nothing but headaches. After our starter went out, we had it replaced by a shop (far far away, we then moved) who unwittingly gave us a bad part. We went to several other shops and asked them to take a look at it. New battery, new spark plugs, no help. One shop replaced our ignition switch, assuring us that it would solve the problem. Nope. So when we moved back to Milford, we took the car into a chain tire/auto repair shop for an oil change... we asked them to check the fuel pump and the electrical system, as those were the only things left that could interfere with the car starting. Shortly after I left the lot with an all clear ("It was a loose wire" they said), my car wouldn't turn over. I had to call for a tow. Rogers will tow your car at any time to wherever you want. Luckily, they have a shop, and if you have them take it back there you won't have to pay the tow right then and there. The guys (who I've known for years before I was away) took a day to get to it, as they're pretty busy, but they were able to replace the part well enough. What pleased me was how straightforward the owner was, and how he gave me my part back and encouraged me to try and cash in on the warranty I received two months ago. If the work had been done at his shop, I wouldn't had to pay him to replace it. I think next time I'll go to Rogers first. *Not sure what the person who submitted this business to yelp was thinking- it's "Rogers Automotive." read more

Came in to get my emissions tested and it seemed like I was inconveniencing their receptionist by being there. They were unfriendly to an elderly woman who was paying for a new battery and alternator as well. The staff had bizarre conversations while I waited for the work to be completed. (Please don't talk about your belly button lint in front of customers.) Once they actually brought my car in, it was a quick service. I try to support local businesses whenever I can, but I won't return to Rogers. read more

Roger's was the lowest quote by far after calling several places when my car's distributor blew a few weeks ago. I decided to give them a go. The job was done within a day. Roger's may not be the biggest or most modern garage around, but they are really honest and have fair pricing. If my hard to please dad was satisfied, I can confidently recommend to others! read more

Taking your car to Rogers is like taking your car to your Mom for service. They arent trying to rip you off, they know what theyre doing and theyre straight forward and actually want to take care of you in the best way. If you have any vehicle issues while traveling on the Merritt Pkwy., call this company! My business had a vehicle problem, leaving a driver stuck on the side of the road. I called Jeff, he quickly headed to the stranded car. As he was approaching, another tow company, dispatched by the State Police, had just picked up our vehicle. Despite dropping everything to go rescue our driver, Jeff said he understood what went down, and would not charge us for the service call! That's unbelievable these days! I will pay this act of kindness forward, and will certainly call Rogers in the future if we have any issues in the Milford area. read more

Honest review. I am an advanced DIY and only go to mechanics for major engine overhaul work or simple maintenance that I do not want to waste my time doing. I have not had the need to use Roger's yet for major work yet, but have used them for simple stuff that they can do faster than me, brake bleeding, transfer case oil replacement, welding etc . . . In addition, I have sent my daughters their because they need to learn to either do it themselves or pay for service rather than depending on dad. Bottom-line: I have been very happy with Rogers, they seem component, honest and very fair. For an auto repair shop I can't ask for much more. If you are looking for a comfortable waiting area with all the overpriced amenities you would get at BMW or Lexus shop do not go to Rogers you will not be happy. However, if you are looking for a traditional and dependable auto repair shop I highly recommend using Rogers. The next time I have a major out of warranty repair work I plan on using Rogers. read more
