I took my car to a different mechanic because I was seeing fluid in the snow wear it was parked. A…read morechain known for tire. They had worked on my car before, and I hadn't had any issues. They replaced the Rack and Pin. Assbly. along with two power steering hose. They also made a recommendation that a gasket and oil pan needed to be replaced. I drove it 8 miles and when I pulled into the Driveway smoke was coming out of the hood. About a 1.5 years ago I had a problem with the drivers seat not latching and staying upright. Tech Auto was recommended and Todd had it looked at and fixed it and didn't charge me anything. So when I had this problem with the smoke I had the car towed in. Todd told me the two power steering hoses were installed incorrectly and fixed that along with replacing all the power steering fluid. He also replaced an oil pressure switch which was wear the oil was coming from not a gasket or the oil pan. The radiator cap was missing and they found it down in the engine and replaced the coolant which was wear the smoke was coming from. I will never take my car anywhere else but to Tech Auto. Todd was HONEST, EFFICENT, AND HIS PRICES were very fair. Since this has happened I've told some people about my experience and I've gotten nothing but positive feedback from people I know that also have their car worked on at #TECH AUTO of Hamden 55 Connolly Pkwy.

Unlike other shops, John expressed concerned about gasoline-related hazards and our safety. Also, Carlos was nice to us and helped us set an appointment. Right away, he looked under the hood and explained to us what the problem was. He was patient with us and described fully what our issue was and what are options were. But failing to give explanations, return my calls, or lock my car overnight (I walked there when I had heard nothing all day and discovered the shop closed and my car unlocked in their parking lot) and then to ask me for cash, is all to add insult to injury. Finally, after having my car towed there for the second time, as arranged the day before, but hearing nothing 24 hours later, I called and was told simply and directly that my car's repair was "not a priority" for them. I understand that this shop has been beloved in Hamden for many years, but unfortunately something or somebody there must have changed. I would never have been disrespected like this at home in Ohio and I am starting to regret moving here.
