I mean she literally asks me when is her next appointment and anytime we are in the area she'll point out and proudly say this place is her dentisit. I will admit when Dr Lee said she was leaving I was devastated and worried who will replace her. I initially met Dr Mindi, who replaced Dr Lee, at a event at my kids school. I was impressed that the doctor was there because normally at these events I expect to see other representatives of the business not the doctor. I think this speaks volumes. She was immediately really kind and welcoming which made me feel much better about our upcoming visit. The next visit felt just like it normally would even when Dr Lee was there. All the office staff, assistants, etc were welcoming and kind- didnt miss a beat. I never felt any red flag. It felt like my kid is in good hands. Dr Mindi gives me the feeling that she is still concerned of my child's care and will answer any questions I would have. I had no issues at all. With that being said, the many recent negative reviews I've seen is absolutely not what I experienced and quiet surprising for me to read. I genuinely question what exactly happened. Ultimately - my kiddo still looks forward to her dentist appointments.

Our very fearful and nervous son recently had dental work done and we could not have been happier with how things were handled. The best thing about this office is the extra time and care they take to talk to families. We also love that there are options here. Dr Mindi doesn't push anything. She gives you the information and allows you to make a choice based on what's best for your family with no judgement. If you have questions, she is there to answer them. You can tell Dr. Mindi truly loves her job and wants what is best for your child. She isn't going to do unnecessary work like so many pediatric dentists. Her office is fun and super child friendly. Despite having valid PPO insurance that we specifically pay for to ensure our children receive quality dental care, we were told we cannot use it because of the "birthday rule"--an arbitrary hierarchy based on which parent's birth month comes first in the calendar year. While the office claims this is an "insurance law," the real issue is that Kids First Pediatric Dentistry Chandler chooses not to contract with HMO plans. That's a business decision, not a legal requirement, and it's their right to make that choice. However, the result is that families like ours--who deliberately maintain PPO coverage--are turned away or forced to pay out-of-pocket unnecessarily. When we expressed frustration, we were simply told to find a provider who accepts both HMO and PPO plans "to avoid unnecessary charges." That's exactly what we're doing--finding a new dentist who will actually work with the insurance we pay for. A pediatric dental practice should prioritize care and accessibility for children, not create barriers through rigid business policies. We expected better, especially given the reputation this office has. Unfortunately, policy rigidity won out over patient care. We're transferring our children's care elsewhere and would caution other families to verify their specific insurance situation before scheduling appointments.

They wanted almost 1700 worth of work including the syrup to sedate our son to fill 3 "cavities". They instantly wanted a down payment for this work to be done and my husband told them that he needed to go over it with me prior to agreeing. So we made an appt at dentists of gilbert crossroads and it was a night and day difference as far as opinions go. Mind you we never were asked to get X-rays the first day at this location so all they did was clean our sons teeth. Gilbert crossroads did an X-ray and they all have separate rooms so you aren't sitting next to a bunch of kids is what my husband said. He said it was very odd the way the set up is between the two he didn't care for the huge bay of 7-8 kids sitting so close to one another. So second opinion today at the other office we selected only wanted 65 dollars to disc between his two front teeth, X-rays, and noticed the cavities he did have were so small it didn't make sense to fill it when they are just going to fall out. The back "cavity" we were told at this office didn't even show up on the X-ray at the second office on his images. Why tell someone they have a cavity if you don't have concrete proof in an image?? Seriously. Thanks for making parents worry/panic. Glad we didn't come here after all and won't be recommending to others.
