Located conveniently next door to another brewery, Dryhop, so you can easily do both in one trip lol it's another quality brewery, situated right in the heart of Lakeview, not far from LSD or the Belmont stop. They only have 4 beers on tap, but I tried them all and liked all of them. Their pizzas are really good. I tried the back of the yards and the Brussels sprouts one, I liked both equally and would definitely order both in the future, or try some of the other flavors. Only downside is they don't have many food options outside of pizza. I don't mind I love pizza, but just so you're aware. For dessert we got 2 of the big cookies, warm and tasty and not too expensive either. Hopefully in the future they'll be able to have some new beers on tap to try. Service was real fast too. Great new pizza spot! It's casual but cool, cozy and inviting, and the pizza is no exaggeration the best I've had in the city. The crust is TO DIE FOR. It's a perfect spot for a weekend lunch, date night, or casual get together with friends. We went for lunch when the restaurant was not so busy, and our waiter was attentive without rushing us - a balance I always appreciate. Also consider taking home a growler if you love it enough. As for the food, the cheesy bread or fried pickles are always a solid option to start with. I dig the atmosphere, they play vinyl, have plenty of drink specials, tasty homemade hot sauce and honey, but their pizza is missing that special something. We tried the Standard Bearer and the Brussel Mania. Both were good with fresh ingredients but compared to other pizzas in the city they just don't stack up. Pretty good place to find some tasty and unique pizza. Kate was awesome at explaining what gives Roebucks it's edge. Roebucks holds it's pride in preparing their pizzas with organic yeast, cooking their pizzas over a wood fire, and using fresh and unique ingredient combinations. They make a honey, rosemary and herb sauce in house, which was instantly my favorite condiment of the offerings. There is a decent amount of Rosemary infused inside the bottle, and I highly recommend you try it with any pizza that you get. They also have a habanero, mango, pineapple, vinegar spice hot sauce made in house as well. The combination of the honey and hot sauce proves to be a delicate war on your taste buds. The honey is currently not for sale, but we strongly encourage it. I love a crunchy and full pizza crust and ours was a little more chewy than my preference but overall the pizza was very tasty. One pizza is a decent size for two people to share but the crust if light enough to go for a second pizza if you're extremely hungry. read more

Wow!! Very impressed. We are Covid sticklers, so their mask rule and distanced patio drew us in. They immediately told us to wear masks when the server was near, and that was the first restaurant to ask this... this means a lot, as we are former servers and want to protect people who have to work during this time. Our server Bethany was AMAZING! She had great recommendations, stuck hard by the mask rule, and just was a generally great person to be around. Went here Saturday night with a group of 3. They DO take reservations (unlike DryHop next door). I'd recommend it as Roebuck isn't very big. It's really dark inside with a central bar and a view of brewing equipment in the back. They have a good little house cocktail list (6 options); my wife and friend both went for the frozen paloma. I did a flight of their 4 beers. Both lagers were okay, mountain IPA was great and their hazy IPA was interesting. I think the beers pair better with their pizza than standalone. Pizzas are thin crust and a good size for one person. We got the Bank Raaber (meat balls, chili oil), Brussel Mania (sprouts, truffle) and Standard Bearer (Soppressata, Jalapeño). Everything was good! Not necessarily my favorite in town but I enjoyed all three we picked. Roebuck is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! read more

This place is a great addition to Lakeview. The pizzas are in the Neopalitan style but the crust comes out less chewy that the original. Their flavor combinations are really good, and my wife and I were interested in more pizzas than we could try. In addition to their solid menu, they had really good service for a place open less than a week. Still some kinks, but they clearly were able to hire a bunch of experienced hands. I have to dock one star for a bit too much char on the crust. While true Neapolitan requires/allows for some char, even black bubbles are a sign of going too far. Black freckles and brown spots should be the goal. I doubt they'll fix this, but hey you never know. The bottoms were not burned so that's good. I'll still go back since we live in the neighborhood and you can pick off the burned spots. Overall, this is a really solid addition to the neighborhood with some interesting pizzas. read more

So disappointing. I wanted to order pizza for my staff at work. I also wanted to support our local restaurants. This restaurant would not make a delivery, could not put spinach on a pizza, nor could they make anything like a Hawaiian pizza. I would've thought our restaurants wanted to be customer oriented to stay strong. Not true of Roebuck's. They are owned by DryHop brewing next-door. In my opinion, they just want to be bar food, prefer to support those that are really trying to make a come back and pride themselves in customer service. I saw no resemblance to this. Please think twice about restaurants that put their own convenience above their customer's satisfaction. Blaze Pizza on Belmont came to my rescue and they were fantastic. read more

I love a good pizza crust and this pizza crust was incredible. However, the menu has very few vegetarian options besides plain salads and even the pizza options were limited. I got a margarita which was really good but wish there were more creative options. If I went back I would have to order the same thing because nothing else on the menu interested me. Ok so, here's my take. Food and drinks are awesome. Curds of Prey is my favorite pizza, and the Sunburn in the Woods is an amazing cocktail. But here's my problem, the service is not great. Let's say if two people are having drinks, the first person wants another, the first person then receives their drink, but not the second person. I would think the bartender would have a thought in their mind to ask the second person if they also would like another drink as well. Another example, if a two top is ready to close out, wouldn't the bartender look and observe their customers and think, "hey their ready to cash out, I should talk to them". But no, if a bartender takes 15mins to cash you out, on a slow day, then for me that's a problem. Overall, I think the food is great, the drinks are great, but the service sucks and I'm being honest. As a person who works in the hospitality industry, I know when to interact with a person. The fact that it takes 10/15 mins on a slow day to get the bartender/servers attention is absurd. read more

Roebuck pizza is some of the best Pizza I've had in Chicago. (Those bread bowls full of tomato soup for not count). I came in for lunch today and had the Disco Call which was a house made hoppy lager that I just loved as well as their Sun God Pizza. It's just a little spicy but really hit the spot. I will also say that the house made hot sauce is outrageously good. It's a mango habanero sauce that tastes a little like a curry and brought my pizza to the next level. You really can't go wrong with any of the pizzas on the menu here -- And we should know because we tried seven of the nine on the menu. A group of six of us came in on a Monday night and found ample seating and a generally pleasant atmosphere. Of the seven we tried, my personal favorites were the Curds of Prey, which is super cheesy, and the Red Riding Hog, followed closely by the margherita and Little Green Men. Pizzas are about 12 inches in diameter, which means it's about one per person. The advantage of this is that you get to try multiple pizzas in one sitting without feeling full. The beers on tap are their own, and while the beer menu is limited, the quality of those beers is not. My personal favorite was the Disco Call but, as with the pizzas, there is no "wrong" choice when it comes to Roebuck's beers. This is a great spot for catching up with friends or a date night.
