In March 2024, my husband and I paid a deposit to Jim and Susan Staresinic (the current owners of Rod's Carpet) on our small 504 sq ft family room floor. Eight months later, we are still waiting for the job to be completed. According to the installers, in April, Jim ordered the wrong transition strips to go between the LVP flooring and the ceramic tile. Jim reordered more transition strips. These strips were too narrow to fill the gap left between the two floors. Jim said that he would reorder in more transition strips. He told us would get back to us and come out to ensure these strips would work - that was in September. Jim did not get back to us, I had to contact him. Here we sit, the floor still is not completed. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business! It is by far the worst follow-up and communications I have ever encountered from a business owner! read more

I came here looking for a backsplash for my kitchen. Tile options with different hues of blue that aren't glass seem to be a challenge to come by. If I didn't find a tile it was ridiculously expensive. Like 20sqft came out to about $700-$800 and it wasn't even super fancy tile. The cost wasn't necessarily per sqft but more per each piece of tile. It's just not reasonable when it comes to pricing. Now the staff is really great and super nice and they take the tone to talk to you and help you. It took us a couple of years to renovate our home, since we did one room at a time, and Rod's salespersons and installation teams were great throughout the entire process. They helped us pick out the right carpeting and LVP, and the installers did a wonderful job installing it. They installed Schluter instead of bulky transition strips for the LVP, which gives the floor a much higher end appearance. We even asked them to try something new by using the same LVP flooring on the risers of our stairs and carpeting only the treads. Again, they did an excellent job, and the floor and stairs look fantastic! If needed in the future, I will definitely use Rod's again, and I highly recommend them! read more

Great sales and installation team. We were given a wide range of carpet to pick from along with the pros and cons of each type (polyester, nylon, mixed) and he explained the difference in the cost of matching patterns among different patterns of carpet so we could make an informed decision. The installation team was professional, courteous and efficient. The job required floor leveling, padding and wall to wall carpet installation. They completed the job quickly with no issues at all. I would recommend them to anyone. For the same price I would have paid at lowes for the same quality of carpet I received excellent service and professionalism. We had a difficult time working with Rod's Carpet on behalf of our buyers for a recent real estate transaction. The price quoted changed on us several times. But, the most troubling issue was that our customers selected a carpet for installation but before we could coordinate the installation, the carpet became unavailable. We were assured that the selection was one that was always in stock yet they sold out the remaining supply and didn't have enough for our customers. When we discussed the situation with Mellie to try and resolve it, at one point she suggested we cancel the transaction entirely. The whole experience was frustrating and aggravating. If I were to work with them, I would be sure to get everything documented in writing since it appears they have difficulty following through. read more

I have dealt with Rod's Carpet when I built my latest home. They were great for the carpet and wood selections. I did go somewhere else for the tile due to the specifics my wife wanted. The carper has lasted over 8 years and still going strong. The wood is also great (pecan hard wood) . We have since returned to add matching wood to a rood that my daughter no longer wanted pink carpet in. We have also used them for carpet in another of our homes. Each time the staff at the store to select the items and the installers they sent out was very professional. We recently purchased our carpet from Rod's Carpet, Tile & Wood. Our experience with the sales person was excellent. She was professional and very pleasant to work with. She was very helpful with helping us with our selection and listened to us for our needs. We had looked everywhere in the Daytona area for carpet and was not able to find the right choice for us. We drove by Rod's and decided to go in and see what they had and were very glad we did. The selection and quality of their carpet was the best that we had seen. Rod's was originally referred by our builder in 2006. At that time, Rod dealt personally with customers. He communicated well every step of the way and we have been extremely pleased with our product, which was laminate flooring. We contracted them once again this month to install luxury vinyl planks in other areas of our home. The complaint that I have is for transition from the new vinyl to original laminate (which has been discontinued), they ordered molding in the vinyl. Since we had laminate molding in the beginning, I naturally assumed that we would have similar molding with the new install. Additionally, I was never advised that the molding would be vinyl. After several conversations with Sheila, we finally received comparable laminate molding. However, we have been charged 50 percent of the cost for the vinyl molding. We have paid it reluctantly because not paying could have resulted in litigation costs in excess of the $100. plus that we were assessed. However, I felt compelled to report my experience. I have had two separate experiences with Rods Carpet and Tiles,both were excellent. The first time I used them I had carpet installed in my master bedroom. The installation went great and the carpet looked beautiful. I also had them re-stretch. My living room/ dining room carpet which had been installed by another company using only a knee kicker. The carpet was wavy which Rods fixed by using a power stretcher,big difference. I then had carpet installed on my stairs along with vinyl wood flooring in my loft area. The vinyl was cut into the baseboards so closely that it only required shoestring molding to finish off the job. Both carpet and floor vinyl look fantastic. We have dealt with Rod's carpet once before and we were very pleased. This time,though, was a nightmare. We ordered new flooring for our kitchen and my husband is still trying to fix all the mistakes that were made ( Since Feb 23rd). First, two men showed up two hours late. They did not have their tools with them to do the job so my husband offered them his tools. They said they would go get some supplies and be right back. They came back two hours later, still not with the right tools and said they had gone out to lunch. One worker hammered so hard the hammer flew out of his hand damaging our trim around the door and cracking the new floor. They did not finish the job and left at 4:30. They said they would be back the next day to finish. Well, they did not show up the next day. We paid our bill in full the next day and told the staff what happened. They apologized and said the man would be fired. We didn't want the man fired. We wanted our floor fixed. We feel we should not have had to pay the labor charges. Both transoms were cut unevenly and the workmanship was of poor quality. read more
