T & M Flooring
First the good. The tile and installation look great. We are happy with that.
The downsides are too numerous to overlook.
First, we contracted TM Flooring to tile two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an adjoining hallway. We put down a 50% deposit and we're told the job would begin in 3 weeks. Three MONTHS later we were told they had dropped the ball and the job would begin soon. Further delays were caused because the tile hadn't arrived. Our deposit was supposed to be used to pay for the tile. So they sat on more than $1600 for 3 months.
We were told during installation they would seal the work area to limit the dust from spreading to the rest of the house. This was not done. When we mentioned the mess they made, Ted told us his mess was inconsequential because our house was already dirty. Ted was referencing dust bunnies, etc under a bed that was moved.
As soon as any portion of the job was completed, TM office would call wanting money. 3 calls a day. I went to pay them the day after a phase of work was completed. Their badgering annoyed me and I mentioned it. I told them they had never had to wait for anything from us. We paid our bills promptly, our house was available for work to be done when they were able to work. Ted and Theresa, the office help, both started yelling at me, telling me how they did business. We first started our project in July 2016 and it wasn't completed until December 2016 and their business model can't wait 1 day for payment, even after sitting on our money for 3 months. Ted also removed two cartons of tile and other material from my garage after installing a vanity. He ended up giving one back. Ted claimed he had initially delivered extra tile, but didn't show me an invoice to verify.
I pointed out how we had been inconvenienced, paid the bill and left. read more
