Gainesville Dental Associates take real great care of my 88 year old smile. I'm thankful to them…read more My smile is brighter and wider thanks to their care. I really appreciate Supervisors Tatianna & Nadine, Dr. Saad & Dental Assistant Billy, Front Desk Darius, Hygienist Lindsay, Amber, Simone, Habeeb. If I'm forgetting some of the names, I apologize. A Beautiful staff and a beautiful office I would say all in all from front to back the entire staff is filled with good people who will treat you and your teeth right.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Gainesville Dental Associates…read more I originally went to the office in March 2026 because I had pain and an infection in one of my lower left molars. I told Dr. James Magee that I wanted the tooth extracted, but he advised that it could be saved and recommended root canals on both lower left molars followed by crowns. I explained that I could not afford the treatment, but I was encouraged to apply for a credit account to pay for it. Trusting his professional judgment, I agreed and paid $1,620.36 out of pocket, in addition to what my insurance (Humana) paid. I was told I would need a splinted (connected) crown because the teeth needed additional support. When I returned for my crowns, I was informed that the dental lab had made the wrong crowns and had not fabricated the connected crown that had been prescribed. The incorrect crowns were placed temporarily, and I was assured everything would be fine until the correct crown was made. Later, when I called to see if my permanent crowns had arrived, I was told my impressions had been lost and that I needed to come back for new ones, causing even more delays. Before the treatment could even be completed, part of my tooth and crown broke off while I was simply brushing my teeth. When I returned, I was evaluated by Dr. Saad, who told me there was not enough healthy tooth remaining to properly support a crown and that, even if one were placed, it would likely only last one to two years before the tooth would need to be extracted. I specifically asked whether he would have recommended a root canal and crown if he had seen the tooth initially, and he told me he would not because too much of the tooth had already been lost due to decay. He also noted that decay was still present in the tooth despite the root canal treatment. I even experienced pain when he examined the tooth, despite already having had a root canal. The recommended treatment ultimately failed, and I now need the tooth extracted anyway. Between being encouraged to finance expensive treatment, the laboratory error, the lost impressions, and then being told by another dentist in the same practice that he would not have recommended the original treatment, I have lost confidence in the care I received. I requested a refund, but instead I was told the office wanted to apply any refund toward the cost of extracting the tooth. After everything that happened, I do not believe that is an appropriate resolution. I encourage anyone considering treatment here to ask questions, seek a second opinion before committing to extensive dental work, and make sure they fully understand all of their options. I have requested to no longer be a patient here in a full refund and was told to wait two weeks for a refund status. This is unacceptable. Please avoid this place. If you search on Reddit about them there are so many others with the same issue. One person even stated it's been 13 months and no refund.
