The dentist doesn't do much. He refers out everything. When my husband got to the appointment they scheduled they didn't accept our insurance. When we called the dentist to ask why they scheduled an appointment to a place that didn't accept our insurance they said it was our responsibility to know that. But they scheduled it. Been going to a dentist for years and never heard that. They call requesting confirmation to my appointment. 4 emails. 3 texts and 3 phone calls in a 4 day period stating I was required to respond, in CAPS. What. You ain't my momma or my boss. When I asked them to reduce it to 1 each. I felt harassed! The office manager was rude and told me fine we won't call you for a reminder. I said no I would like 1 call and 1 text. In spite I believe, I now get NO reminder.

The dental team, Dr. Taylor and a PA, did their best to get my problem resolved, spent quite a bit of time with me setting up my status for a new, registered patient (Full X-rays and history). Their concern for my comfort was exceptional and unexpected - this practice is NOT like most dental practices that I've been to. I also noted that the entire staff, reception, billing, scheduling, assistant and the DMD herself were all smiling and, it seemed, happy to be working there and so welcoming to a new face. I'm sold. They were very honest and let me know it was actually something else and not my tooth, which I really appreciated. I ended up having a few visits for other things, including a cleaning, and every single time the staff was very nice and welcoming. I had Dr. Habib, who was absolutely phenomenal. He's very kind, efficient, and clearly knows his stuff, which made me feel really comfortable. The office itself is clean, modern, and has state-of-the-art equipment. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the billing. A few times my insurance got mixed up, and while I was there, I noticed other patients coming in with billing concerns as well. My family and I have been using Dr. Cox for at least 15 years now. Dr. Hanley was originally my dentist but unfortunately isn't practicing medicine anymore. Cox and Hanley were a great team years ago. Everything that needed to get repaired has always been explained in detail and all the work I have had done has held up well. The front office is excellent at billing and makes sure that your insurance deductibles and copays get submitted timely. I've never had any hidden costs jump out and surprise me. I saw a new dentist here on my last visit named Dr. Weiss. He has a great manner and appears to be a very competent professional. I plan on using him in the future. The hygienists/techs are great and as always they have some great stories that you can't respond to because they are cleaning your teeth. When asked again, she suggested it was part of their automated system. My spouse is a retired dental hygiene instructor and I am retired corporate management. So, for example, I've never had the same dentist twice. Either the dentist is no longer there, isn't working that day, or whatever the excuse of the day is. Every single appointment has been with a different dentist. Front office is flat out rude; but that type of rude that's done with a smile. Huge "bless your heart" vibes. They also like to play games about insurance, saying that they accept your insurance but then, miraculously, when paying they no longer accept it. Different people get charged different amounts for the same procedures. For example 3 adults in my family all had x-rays, fluoride, and cleaning. Charges ranged from 200 - 450. All of us had the same amount of time, and the itemized receipts (other than the costs) were the same. That was the final straw for us. Even if you were happy with your work, when you leave you're left with the impression of the office being greedy, game players (with your money), and of course... bless your heart.
