I am a current tenant who is pursuing legally against this company due to the company's failure to do basic maintenance, they also left me with a dirt unit at time of move in after having me pay a 900 security deposit and me asking them multiple times prior to move in if the unit was cleaned, they lied and stated it was then I came to move in and it was clear the unit had not been thoroughly cleaned. They allow violence on the property and harassment as well, I as a tenant have had to call police on other tenants, and Rodman just allows their tenant's to behave this way. It is also a non smoking property but they allow tenants to smoke weed, and ciggarettes on the property. This leasing company is disgusting, and they only care about overturning tenants and money rather then fixing up units and maintaining long term tenants. I recently applied for an apartment through Rodman Realty and feel incredibly disappointed by the entire experience. I have a 750 credit score, no criminal history, and make well above the income requirements. I've been with the same company for 10 years, during which I lived in an on-site house provided as part of my compensation, I provided the ex-managers information so they could contact her and verify everything. For the past 7 years, I've rented my current home without missing a single payment--so much so that I was even offered a groundskeeper position due to my reliability. Simply put, I am a landlord's ideal tenant. After submitting my application, I received no response. The website clearly states that applications are processed within two days and that units are given on a first-come, first-served basis. A full week passed, and I received no calls or emails. I tried contacting your office--calls went straight to voicemail, and my emails were ignored. So I took the time to come in person to find out what was going on. When I arrived, I was told I was approved. However, I was then questioned about my previous job and whether I had a lease for the on-site housing I lived in over a decade ago--documentation that no longer exists because the company has since been sold. I explained that, yet I was still met with skepticism. Then came the most baffling part: I was told the apartment is not actually first-come, first-served--as your website states--and that applicants who came after me "overqualified" me because they had moved more frequently and supposedly had "better" rental histories. That explanation makes no sense at all. I felt like I was being treated as if I had a 540 credit score and only two years of rental history, rather than the strong, stable record I actually have. At this point, it seems like Rodman Realty simply chooses who they want, regardless of the application order or qualifications. So even if you're fully approved, you're left in limbo until they decide if and when you're "allowed" to rent a unit. If this is how things are handled during the application process, I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to deal with maintenance or tenant concerns once you've moved in. This has been one of the most unprofessional and illogical interactions I've had with a realty company. If someone is fully qualified and applies in good faith, they should be treated fairly--not strung along with vague excuses and conflicting policies. "Qualified but only when no one else wants it." Please make that make sense.... You need to do better. This is not how you treat serious, qualified applicants. read more

Man I wish I would have looked at these before I moved in. Many of the I agree with. The owners are retarded and don't care for anyone but themselves. Everyone is a Cant Understand Normal Thinking kind of person and they deny you for everything. I went without things getting fixed for weeks because they can't do there jobs right. I went without a working shower for three weeks and I was the one after having them come out multiple times to access the shower that found the leak. The building is outdated even though they remodel with outdated shit. They are money hungry and don't have a heart or soul. I'm disabled and I've been discriminated against multiple times and now that I have the FHA involved they are not liking it and treating me like I'm garbage. Denied my caregiver moving in. If I break a hip or something because I can't have a caregiver live with me then I'm going after them even harder. I will own there business by the time I'm done. I hope and pray that all of them have horrible explosive diarrhea and can't get it to stop. read more

My sister rents from the company. Robin is the owner. It is very important that you know about this type of heartless human. My sister has cancer bad. I drove from CA with my service dog who has paperwork to care for my sister. We had just found out she needs 7 weeks of radiation 5 days a week. Chemo once a week for 8 weeks. She no one to go to her or care for her. Because I have a 14 year old well trained 10 pound Yorkshire Terrier, with paperwork, she kicked me out. So don't sign that 60 page contract. I left my sister saying goodbye in tears and the owner Robin basically said too bad. She has a dog she said. I'd hate to be a dog with her as my owner. She has no compassion, no smart language, but rude and mean and ugly. My sister has been there 2 years. When I answered the door she mistakes me for my sister. She doesn't even know who her tenant is and doesn't care. Ants everywhere. The landscapers blow the leaves and dirt down her steps and they leave it. She has cancer. She can't clean it. She can barely walk and now probably not eating since she has no one to do that. None of this mattered to Robin. So be careful when you sign a year contract. Also the neighbors have pets. I never said anything, I don't drop to that level. I'm a pet owner. I would want to get the guy upstairs kicked out. I've never met such a heartless cruel animal hater in my life. I am not a tenant of this company but an applicant and my experience has been horribly annoying. I'm moving from out of state, and put an application in with them, 5-7 business days for a reply of prequalification or denial (this is fine with me). I only got one response from them in the entire month process I've been waiting to simply get prequalified and it was just a couple questions about my income and work situation. I would be fine with a denial and would have moved on with my life (honestly, I've gotten plenty of denials at this point, apartment hunting is rough). First of all, the fact that their business hours online appear to only be 9-12 make it impossible for a working person to contact them via phone, why are their hours so limited for applicants? Second, they have a portal for me to check my application and they don't even seem to really use it. I've checked it daily, my email daily, my call logs daily, and have specified to them email is easiest for me but they don't seem to know how to communicate back. I don't know if it's a low staffing issue or what but it's AWFUL. 5-7 business days is an entire lie when it's been a month and I still have no response. If they're like this with their applicants, I can't imagine how they are with their tenants. All I've wanted is an answer so that I can move forward in my hunt and they can't even tell me yes or no. I will update this if I hear anything from them or get any kind of explanation of their lack of professionalism but as of right now? This place is not a vibe. read more

If I could give this property management a ZERO star, I would... It's literally ridiculous how irresponsible and horrible they are with tenants. As I was renting from one of their studios, they disclosed that the windows hadn't be caulked yet and they needed to do so. Told me they would contact me and let me know when that would happen. Weeks went by and I NEVER heard a thing from them. Mold started to form and was causing me to get very sick, allllll the time. I requested for someone to come out and caulk the windows so I wouldn't have mold continuing to grow. It literally took them two-three days to even respond to me and then finally someone came into my apartment while I was gone and did it in the middle of the night. As I was moving my stuff out one Friday afternoon, I had some random individual come up to my door and ask to view my unit because she had scheduled an appointment with the 'manager' of Rodman Reality to view my unit number... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO BE SHOWING UNITS TO INDIVIDUALS BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE MOVES ALL THEIR PERSONAL BELONGINGS OUT! Safe to say I left that shit hole because of the black mold forming and them not being responsible for THEIR UNITS. Black mold everywhere. All in our bathroom walls. It was disgusting. They refused to fix it and even had people viewing the house with the large amount of black mold in the walls. On top of that my family and I moved out 6 months ago and they send us a bill. Which doesn't make any sense since our neighbors even saw these people move in. When trying to discuss this with them, they yelled at my mom and had the worse attitude. My father & I can witness to the rude phone call. I came from a Manufactured Park that is considered the cesspool of Kelso. I was afraid of the manager, and the drug addict tenants. I had to move. I went to several management agencies in the area. I watched the interaction of the employees of these companies with their tenants. What I saw was disturbing. I could not go back into the same environment of hate, abuse, and fear of my home. I needed to heal from my medical procedures and I could not heal in such a cruel environment. When I got to Rodman Realty I felt as though this might work for me. Tailer was assisting another tenant with a problem and was so wonderful with her customer service skills I just about passed out. I have rented from Rodman for three months now. So far everybody I have spoken to at Rodmans seem to treat people as humans and not cattle. I believe that since they have followed through with everything as stated and I have no complaints, this will be a constructive and healthy landlord tenant relationship. I live in a safe, clean non violent home. When people are treated with kindness, they respond with kindness and that reflects in their homes and the rental agency. Thank you very much read more

After posting a truthful experience with Rodman Reality. I got a call 3yrs after moving out That I owed them money. 2 weeks after my post I got a call. Please don't rent from them. They replaced 3 refrigerators blaming me. Truth be told allll along it was indeed a electrical problem. Wish in hind sight I had taken pictures of them replacing the electric problem. Four years ago, the town we lived in out in Nebraska was wiped off the map by twin tornadoes. Since we lost everything, we decided to pack up the few things that remained and move west. (I'm from the pacific northwest and have been trying to get home for years, anyway.) Rodman's kind, helpful staff worked with us more than I'd ever have expected. We were able to get a great little place in our price range in a nice neighborhood, completely sight unseen. These folks have gone above and beyond for us from the moment I sent the first inquiry email to this day. Anytime we've had a problem, it's been fixed pretty much immediately, to our satisfaction. We've never been late on our rent, so I can't speak to how they are with that, but I *will* say that when our dogs passed and I ambushed them by calling from the pound with a new dog application, they were kind and responsive. (And we got our rescue pup without incident.) I've never had anything but positive interactions with the staff, and when we met the property owner, he said his side of things with them has also been very positive. We've even referred business rentals to them -- my husband's company needed a new warehouse location, and we enthusiastically sent them to Rodman without hesitation. And, of course, the folks were very professional and helpful for the company, too. If you're looking for a place to rent or have a place you need managed, I'd highly recommend these folks. so we moved up here from California and in California mold is a big thing when we moved into this house there was mold spots and mildew and they assured us that it was normal for Washington because of the dampness it is not normal our Windows fill up with water they're only single pain and currently we have black mold all over our shower in the bathroom and in our bedroom and they agreed to fix it for us not with the mold professional with just a handyman that works with them but they want to fix it with us in the house and I am not comfortable with this this is terrible I have a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old and I am very concerned for their health as well as myself I have a chronic illness and I'm very susceptible to mold toxicity the mold has been growing and they have done nothing to fix it we have let them know several times I am so worried for the future health of me and my children read more

I rented from rodman for 5 years. They raised the rent from $395 to $525 in this time. I pay for water and sewer that adds another $100 minimum. They are trying to evict me after 5 years no late rent etc. I even paid in advance 6 months. I have a mental and physical disability. They don't care. They said I never mowed the lawn in 5 years. They had a lawn service do it. Don't talk to a Lori pederson she is rude and very unprofessional. Looks like there gonna be in court for discrimination. This company rents out apartments/homes to disabled veterans full of black mold. The respiratory issues never go away. We moved out six months ago and they took my deposit although we cleaned. I was too sick to argued and my brother had just passed a week before that. I was going to let it go. Two weeks later someone else was living in that Longview apartment full of mold and holes for rats to enter. I wanted to say something, but I was grieving. Que six months later. I get another bill from Rodman Reality for more cleaning. Mind you, someone else had been living there for almost as long i'd been gone. I was disgusted. Before I left I took pictures and samples of the mold my family complained to the rental company about, fully intending to discuss it with the proper authorities. It test positive for black mold as suspected. Then, my brother died, and all this work was set aside. Now, the fire to fight is back in me. I may be disabled, but I am because I made the chose to stand up and serve my country. I will serve it once again by saving another person from the lung issues I have now. Please, veterans, everyone, steer clear, especially the disabled. This company assumes that because we are disabled we are also unintelligent. I am going to show them their assumptions are just that.
