The Nashua Public Library is located downtown and I did not happen to spot any free parking. $2 for two hours is reasonable at a nearby city-operated parking lot. The library is quite large with a very large collection of fiction and non-fiction. Plenty of librarians around to help. Many comfortable seats all around for readers. They also have plenty of available computers for guests to use but they do not seem to have a lot of space for people to bring their own laptop and plug in. I found one small workspace. If you live in southern NH, your library card will give you free access to most of the libraries in the area: Manchester, Bedford, Hooksett, Derry, Merrimack, Salem and a couple others. Very cool! Bedford has a great selection of books, including a decent amount of new titles. They have a huge collection of DVDs, including many TV series (since I dumped cable years ago I find this to be a great thing). The best part is they also have around 150+ blu-ray discs-as far as I know this is the only area library that carries them. There is a nice reading area in the back, lots of computers, an excellent kids section (the whole bottom floor, in fact), and it seems they have many public events during the week (movies, concerts, and such). My only disappointment is their graphic novel section is a little light, but seems to be growing. If you are into that kind of thing, Manchester has the best selection.

The Tyngsborough Public Library is one wing of the Town Hall of Tyngsborough. The building is only…read moreabout 10 years old. The former library is now vacant. This library is small, but Tyngsborough is a small town, so it's more than sufficient for the population. Everything seems new and clean and it's all very well organized. The staff is very nice and quite helpful. The children's area has a separate play room with a beautiful mural and a piano. There are puppets to play with and many children's actvities are held there. There rest of the children's area holds the books and movies and some toys and puzzles. It's all very well organized. The people who run the children's section are very nice and have many programs for the kids throughout the year. YOU CAN ONLY TAKE OUT 6 DVDs PER WEEK. (You can take out an unlimited number from the Pollard in Lowell).

Have no fear, Lydon Library is here! You can plug in and log on until 2am Sunday thru Thursday during the academic year (September-May)... yes, I said 2AM you procrastinating over-achiever!! Most people are being stupid or sleeping at that hour, but here at UMass Lowell the future engineers and scientists are cramming in their last few hours of studying. (See website for full hours of operation.) This could be Lowell's best kept secret- especially the library's new second floor "Learning Commons" with a variety of seating and table options. Admittedly, I have a slight furniture crush on the acrylic tables that don't overheat my laptop like traditional wood tables do. For the awesome convenience of free late night fast internet you will pay a small price. The entrance is somewhat obscured by Alumni Hall and parking is a bit of an issue. You might get lucky if it's after 5pm and a spot is available behind Cumnock or Southwick Hall. The closest public parking lot is up the street near Egg Roll Cafe- about two blocks from the library. Since EC and DD close before 10pm, your nearest caffeine addiction can be cured by 7-Eleven on Mammoth Rd. Now that you have the power of insider knowledge, I expect that you'll only use it for forces of good.

There is a reasonable selection of books, however evergreen or more current content could be improved (for example, books on technology that is now nearly obsolete). All libraries are a gift and wonderful resource, including this one. Simultaneously, the study rooms give institutional (prison, mostly) vibes, the chairs, assorted cushions, and potentially mold ridden carpet join in information-fuel, melodious anthem with themes of longing for revival, minimalism, and a spark of life. The significant audiobook and music collection on CDs inspires me to go purchase a new or used CD player! The bottom floor greeted me with a food smell I couldn't determine if it was hot dogs, lasagne or pizza, but it was someone's lunch time and not the smell I would expect in a library. A glance to the right up a dark corridor with low ceilings boasted a dehumidifier, a nod to the challenge it is to control environmental issues, nevermind keeping an environment suitable for books and developing lungs. The outdoor area is in fact amazing. Stepping outside my lungs filled with relief, confirming my suspicion about unavoidable mold/other allergen contamination that happens to most indoor environments over time. The air freshener placed over the vent at the entrance is a call for action if I ever saw one. Residents! Show up to the relevant upcoming meetings (no excuses, here's the calendar lol https://www.derrynh.org/calendar-by-event-type/16) and make your voice heard! Libraries are nearly always underfunded, and Derry's needs and environmental overhaul for health and safety of the workers and visitors.

Very nice library located in downtown Andover. Clean and quiet so I like to come here to do school…read morework. There are plenty of computers available for use as well as tables and chairs on each floor. Great selection of books and other media. Staff members are friendly and helpful. If you have a library card, you can easily request items from anywhere in the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium. Only (minor) downside is with its location downtown, you may have to pay for parking if you park in the lot. It's 50 cents per hour until 6pm each day except Sundays and holidays. However there is plenty of free two-hour parking on the streets.

She immediately contacted the entity which publishes the resource and was able to resolve the problem in time for me to use the resource at my meeting an hour later. Great customer serviced!
