Cute spot in the rodeo39 market. They have happy hour on some days that's like $2 off a drink. Right next to the brewery, so your group can blend beer and cocktails for preference while grabbing bites to eat. We got an old fashioned and the Gold Roger drink. gold roger definitely won out! - drinks are nothing I'd write home about but it's a great convenience when you're grabbing food here! Super chill- not romantic so probably not a great date place if you wanted something more upscale but good place to hang out and chill/chat

After dinner, my friend and I were looking to end the night with a good cocktail. We yelped this place and to our surprise, we found a whole new spot (Rodeo 39) we definitely plan on visiting again. With any shopping center, parking can be hectic and this spot was no exception. The Jaguars and Chargers were playing, so I'm sure that added to the craziness because the brewery in front of it was packed. We managed to find seats at the bar and were greeted by Bianca. I loved her energy and tattoos. We ordered the strawberry soiree, paloma and wanda. All the drinks were so good! The strawberry soiree was my favorite. The glass was chilled and the flavors were on point. I saw one of the other bartenders making a drink and it didn't take long for me to realize it was a martini expresso, which is not on the menu. It looked amazing. The price of the cocktails ran about average price for a cocktail $14/$15. Although all bartenders should put their best into their drinks, you can definitely tell the three that were working Saturday night love the craft of it.10/10 recommend because I will definitely be making my way back to try the rest of their menu.

El Dorado = green tea infused Japanese whisky, turbinado, and bitters. Smelled and tasted delicious.

After dealing with the horrible parking, dodging endless crackheads, and pushing your way through the narrow aisles of Rodeo 39 you need to relax. At the back of the building across from Bearded Tang is a small bar with counter seats and a few tables if you want to eat food while getting your drink on. I was by myself but figured I could use a cocktail so I pulled up a seat at the counter. Bar has mostly top shelf brands, a menu of creative cocktails, and it's served in high end glasses. I went with a cocktail on the menu which was Japanese whiskey infused with green tea. Simple yet so frickin good. The green tea was a perfect pairing with the whiskey. It was a heavy pour and I was feeling good by the end of my drink. Price was $14 which to me was a average price for a high end cocktail. Nice surprise to find this bar and next time I'll get some lunch at one of the Rodeo 39's eateries and eat it with a delicious cocktail!

Came here 06/15/2022. Clean, modern, minimalist bar that is tucked in the back of Rodeo 39 and right across from a brewery! I came on a Wednesday at 2 PM. Not really a day drinker but it was so hot that I decided to grab a mojito. I had great conversation with the bartender with black hair and a nose ring (sorry I forgot your name!) and also Hannah who was right after her shift. Wed, Thur, Fri has a happy hour at 3-6 for $3 off any cocktail. Highly recommend, cocktails seem to average $12-$15.

Friendly bar inside Rodeo 39 towards the back. I'm not much of a fruity tooty drinker but I like tequila and the ingredients in the Paloma were tasty and fresh. My friends Old Fashioned was so good, he did a repeat :-D. You can purchase food from any of the other food stops inside, and enjoy it at bar area with your beverage. Have great day!

i live nearby so i decided to try this place after lunch with a friend and my bf. we came here to just talk and catch up over a drink but came out extremely satisfied. i like that the seating is open and free choice. we sat right at the bar because i like watching bartenders work on the drinks. our bartender was Alex and then later Jaren. Alex was super friendly to us and made us really good drinks. he changed my life with the tequila he recommended as well. we came for happy hour by accident but it was the best "mistake" of our lives. i am definitely coming back here with more of my friends so they can experience the wonderful service and drinks.

Situated within Rodeo 39 Public Market in Stanton, Rodeo Bar needs a spot on your next foodie-adventure itinerary! I have been an on and off again regular here for a couple of years and it has become one of my most-loved spots for inventive and delicious craft cocktails after a long work week. Phenomenal drinks, outstanding service. Although the food hall/market is fairly casual, Rodeo Bar has a slightly elevated vibe with posh decor and themed murals adorning the space. Have a seat at the bar itself or at the adjacent high-top tables (where you are welcome to bring in and enjoy food from the surrounding vendors). Whether you're feeling gin (try the Strawberry Soirée with Rhubarb Gin), whiskey (how about a Green Tea infused Japanese Whiskey), or up for adventure (Ask for the Dealer's Choice), this is the place to venture from your average cocktail of choice.

Visited this bar for the first time last night with my boyfriend and wow! We both were impressed (and looking forward to returning!) The bar is located in the Rodeo 39 Market toward the back, and you're free to order food from one of the vendors and bring it in to eat at the bar with your drinks! Our first cocktails weren't our favorite.. I got the Mezcal Matador and I cannot for the life of me put my finger on what the off putting taste was.. but not a fan. I have had mezcal cocktails before that I enjoyed so I'm pretty sure that wasn't it, but just not for me. My boyfriend first ordered the Jungle in the West, and although not bad it also wasn't something he'd have again. That being said, the next few we tried were SO SO good!! We tried the Saketory next, and were so pleasantly surprised. It has the perfect hint of ginger that compliments the sake & orange perfectly. Strong but not overpowering, and very tasty. Then we tried the Wanda - fun fact: it's inspired by Wanda from Fairly Odd Parents, and I must admit when I saw the crown shaped lemon peel and made the connection, I was pretty stoked when the bartender confirmed (and apparently I was the first to correctly guess!). It's a vodka cocktail with lemon and raspberry and I must say, I could drink those alllll day! So refreshing and yummy, truly a perfect summer cocktail. Lastly I tried the strawberry soirée. Another great summertime cocktail! Served in a copper martini type glass, which was cool considering I haven't seen those before. Made with gin, lemon, strawberry, and cucumber it was tasty and fresh. A little less sweet than the Wanda, and the mint really paired with the fruit flavors nicely. I'm so stoked to find a bar with such great craft cocktails so close to me!! It's a great date night spot given all the different types of food to choose from as well! There was also live music on Saturday night! Highly recommend :)

Lemme tell you sum. These drinks are absolutely amazing. My wife got the Wanda and it was delicious. I myself got TWO of the Saketory's and it was so good. So unique. Will come back for sure! Matt was our bartender and he was so nice. Excellent customer service! Fancy drinks! If you don't wanna drive to LA or Newport this is the place to get your unique delicious cocktails. read more

The Ambiance is great and is a fun place to hang out on the weekends with friends. During the week is less busier than the weekends parking wise. There are plenty of food options and lots of seating outdoors as well. Reminds me of Anaheim Packing district almost. There are plenty of options of food to choose from. I had a good time today at rodeo, Alex was my bartender tonight and he recommended really good drinks and mixed shots. I was a little uncomfortable at the end because this girl who was working at the bar (she had black hair and a bun) was asking "did you pay your tab?" When I hadn't even finished my drink yet. She made me feel very rushed and was recommending me to tip heavily, although she wasn't even the bartender who served us. Regardless alex served us well and he did a very good job. read more

I have been coming to this bar for almost a year now practically every weekend and it never disappoints. It's the only craft bar in the area and all of the workers are always so enthusiastic about their purpose as a bar tender! I have came here at different times of the day and service is always on point. During the night the vibe is very lively and fun because of the people and of course the bar tenders. Would definitely recommend this place to any of my buddies and push people to come here and enjoy the drinks along with a good time and good people! read more

The drinks were absolutely delicious! The price is definitely justified. The bartender (I think his name is Alex) really took the cocktail making to another level with the quality and process. A true craft cocktail. I had the strawberry soirée and it was truly the best drink I've ever had in my life ! The bar wasn't too crowded it was nice atmosphere, music was loud but it was good so we didn't mind. Beware the food places around close early (we missed that) but they said if you get food from the places around, you are allowed to bring it and eat it at the bar ! Highly recommend! read more

Came here for a New York sour....HANDS DOWN one of the BEST I've ever had!!! The bartenders Alex and Junior were very friendly and a good time! Alex (I believe is the manager) was training Junior and did a very great job showing him the correct steps and measurements for the cocktail. Nice and spacious area in Rodeo 39. They have many drink options depending on your mood and that even includes alcoholic slushees. Parking can be hectic depending on the time you go. It especially busy during the weekends and late nights. Bartenders there are really nice and have great recommendations. read more

Great bar with tvs, a good selection of drinks, and specials like happy hours and taco Tuesdays. I've tried their espresso martini which was delicious and their mixed drinks but they definitely have a heavy poor. That may be a good thing for most people but I tend to finish my drinks fast and I don't prefer to wince each time I take a sip because it's too strong! It also gets super busy during a game but that's every bar! Overall great service, drinks, just a tad too heavy on the poor and foot traffic. read more

Oooh weee, the RODEO bar was an amazing experience! I took a wonderful alcohol ride with the CITY BOY SUMMER drink and it was tasty deliciousness with a hint of mint. And my fav RODEO bar wrangler, Bianca was at the steer mixing it up for hubby and I. This is a nice little bar inside Rodeo 39 with great service. I visited here recently and our bartender, Bianca, was awesome! She was super sweet and personable. My friend and I set aside some empty containers of food that we had so we could throw it out when we leave, but Bianca kindly helped toss our stuff away for us even though the food wasn't from there. Will definitely be back again for a couple of quick drinks or just to hang out. read more

The mixed drinks are delicious the flavor combination are intricate and elegantly crafted. The vibe here is also great if you want to catch up with friends. Service is fast during the week. On the weekends its a packed house so you may just need to put in your next drink earlier while you work on the one you have. read more

It wasn't too chewy and wasn't too spicy! The ong choy was another standout, as the sauce was a nice difference from the standard garlic sauce in most Asian vegetable dishes (sauce was on the sweeter side). The other dishes were pretty standard, but still yummy and enjoyable!

The Pad Su was a touch on the sweet side, but the curry on the panang beef is something I would put on top of white rice to add extra oomph. The only saving grace was the Ong Choy, overcooked but very tasty. Sadly, we don't think we'll be returning. I'm giving it 3 stars because I remember the quality and I am hoping it's was a one-off experience.

Let's start with Byron, because every great night out deserves a great bouncer. Byron is calm, observant, proactive, and genuinely invested in keeping people safe. He handles situations before they turn messy, all while remaining cool, approachable, and respectful. You feel protected without feeling policed -- which is exactly how it should be. Plus, he's great to talk to, and I've enjoyed every interaction I've had with him. Now for the real star of the show: Meow (aka Marissa). I adore this woman. She's sweet, hilarious, quick-witted, intelligent, beautiful, and makes incredible drinks. She is the reason I keep coming back -- and the reason many of my friends are loyal regulars week after week. She somehow manages to make a packed bar feel like your living room. Here's the funny part: I don't even drink much. Half the time I'm ordering a Diet Coke -- and still tipping like I ordered a craft cocktail, because Meow deserves it. I say that as someone who worked through college in hospitality and bartended high-volume places like TGI Friday's, massive events at the Long Beach Convention Center (yes, including the Grand Prix and concerts), and even managed bar service at an upscale steakhouse. Bartending takes multitasking, people-reading skills, awareness, organization, and discernment. Meow has all of it. She hustles, she remembers people, and she runs that bar like a pro. And when she sings? Goosebumps. Every. Single. Time. That said, in the spirit of honesty, I did have one unfortunate experience here involving another patron. On two separate occasions, a woman I didn't know decided I was somehow a threat to her relationship (despite me having exchanged nothing more than polite hellos with her boyfriend). The second encounter escalated into her grabbing and pinching my arm and physically turning me around to confront me. Not exactly the vibe. I reported the incident to another security staff member (Peter), but unfortunately nothing came of it, and the situation wasn't addressed. I ended up handling it myself and disengaging -- which, ironically, led to her following me outside to continue the interrogation. Not ideal. Because of a few moments like this, I'd gently recommend being cautious about giving out phone numbers here -- social media is a safer bet. That said, when the right staff are on, this place truly shines. I still bring friends and family here when they're in town, and they're always impressed. At the end of the day, Byron and Meow are the heart of Shanghai'd. Their professionalism, integrity, warmth, and competence are the reason I've stayed loyal and continue to return. They set the standard -- and they absolutely deserve the recognition.
