We came on a good time during happy hour which means $5 beers, sheesh!. This place is hidden in the Old Village, right next to the Vans' skate park. Haven't been there for a while now until yesterday and the food quality is still good and consistent. The lady working there was chill and friendly. I ordered the Hawaiian Burger and my homie ordered a Cheese Burger, both a 5/5. The meat patty was juicy and thick. The pineapple bits in underneath the patty had a nice sweet/tangy kick. However, instead of the bits, just add a whole slice of pineapple to the burger. It will look more appealing and delicious. After we were done, we down it with a Heineken and IPAs. Light work, alright. If you guys like some good burgers, this spot is definitely worth to try. It's quite affordable and there's some cool stuff to check around in that area.
I love restaurants that are covered in stickersss! My burger was super juicy and delish. My dad had a double cheeseburger that he said was the best one he's eaten in Huntington Beach. We walked around here after eating and just had a super great day overall. 10/10 spot!
Been on the list for a while and I should have tried them out much sooner! Got the double cheeseburger and the Pigsty fries. The burger was made perfectly! I was skeptical about the Pigsty fries because of the avocado, but it was surprisingly good! Definitely recommend giving them a try. Definitely will be back!
Stopped by Grinderz in HB and got the cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink. You can add extras like bacon or avocado, or sub the cheese for pepper jack. The cheeseburger was decent but pretty basic in flavor. Also tried the keto burger with an extra patty and a fried egg. It tasted very "clean" and healthy, but definitely could've used more salt or seasoning. Both burgers came out to about $32. The outside patio has a nice view, and walking around Old World Village after is a fun way to digest.
Best burger hands down! I am such a huge burger gal and I would def recommend trying this spot! They have good options and their onion rings and zucchini fries were also 10/10!! Service was good, the guy taking our order was very helpful for it being our first time there. Ambience was also great, vibes were cool inside and outside.

The oreo shake was so good! Great thickness and texture, creamy and flavorful. Sad that the onion rings were a bit over cooked. The server who helped us was super friendly and nice. From the vast amount of skateboards strewn around to the gnarly collection of stickers pasted everywhere to the pictures & illustrations of skateboarders hung about, Grinderz is dedicated to skater culture and serving up some good food. Their menu is beautifully straightforward - just burgers, sides, and drinks (shakes, sodas, and beer). I selected their Cali Style Burger combo and subbed in onion rings & thousand island sauce (with tax = $16.24). The Cali burger is built with a soft brioche bun, a juicy and seasoned burger patty, melted pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, avocado, grilled onions, tomato, and (normally) Chipotle Mayo. I really like that they focus on serving a quality, tasty burger without any unnecessary or pompous frills. After completing your meal, go out and explore a bit of HB's Old World Village . There are plenty of cafes & shops to browse. You definitely need to visit the deli/bakery shop which is packed full of European goodies, fresh deli meats, and more.
This little burger place is super cute. There are so many burger options to include chicken and turkey burgers. We did an online order and it was ready at the time they said it would be ready. The pigsty burger with the fries was interesting. Not bad, but not my favorite. The beef was juicy on both burgers. I really liked the spicy grind burger, it was good. The veggies were fresh but I wish there were more avocado in my burger because the fries just took over and that's all I tasted. Overall, it was great and I would like to try some of the other burgers.

Their burger patties are pretty assertively seasoned and you get a peppery crust on the meat. I went with their Cali-burger, which comes with grilled onions, avocado, tomato, lettuce, chipotle mayo, and bacon. My wife went with a standard cheeseburger but upgraded her fries to onion rings. Both the fries and onion rings are delightful as they're beer-battered and nicely seasoned, so they have a nice, salty crunch to them that's instantly craveable. Ambiance is skater themed and it's a small spot with limited seating. It's not really a place to hang out for hours, but it's pretty fun to walk around through this weird, Euro-themed mall after finishing your meal. There are some interesting German delis and bakeries in the surrounding stores after you eat here. Weird mall, but this is definitely a hidden gem for burgers, fries, and beers on tap!
I wanted to try a new burger place and this spot happens to be next to my favorite place, Bunz! I got the Spicy Grind Burger with a Regular Oreo Shake. Usually I'm a spice girl, but I had to take out some of the banana peppers that had a lot of seeds on it. Definitely filling and was only able to finish 75% of the burger! The chipotle-mayo sauce in the burger tied it all together. The best part was dipping with a side of ranch. I took some of my boyfriend's avocado in his Cali Style Burger for mine and I might have to add that next time. The shake was more than enough to share. If you're getting one for yourself, a mini is enough sweetness to satisfy any cravings. Great service and plenty of seating inside and out!
Delicious!! A hidden gem- fresh food made to order! Customer service was awesome- fast and genuine. Chill atmosphere with a community of decorative stickers and posters throughout the shop. Had its own private parking lot that's shared. Can be confusing to find but work the time.
I just wanted to follow up and say that this place is still the bomb and hands down best burger and fries ever! I don't what they fry their fries with but it's always crispy and has a great taste that differentiates itself from other French fries I've tasted. Just wanted to shout Noah as well for delivering excellent service with his charisma. That doesn't go only for him, but it goes out to the whole staff because they're always friendly and helpful. Sorry I never got their names but it's one of the girls and this dude with piercings. Nice and friendly staff. read more

This place was so good! We tried the regular burger with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and Thousand Island dressing, along with the Spicy Q Burger topped with avocado, tomato, grilled onions, spicy BBQ sauce, and melted pepper jack cheese. Both burgers were juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The fries were also a highlighthot, crispy, and perfectly cooked. The price point was very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get.their service was great and the place nice and open air with patio area. The only downsides were having to ask for a coin to use the restroom and the parking lot filling up quickly. Other than that, we had a great experience and would definitely come back! read more
I lived in HB my entire life and didn't realize that we had this awesome establishment hidden in Old World Village! The first time I visited Grinderz I stopped in for a beer and quick snack. I ordered the Pigsty fries and they were so ONO! I decided to bring back my boys for a meal and they thoroughly enjoyed their double cheeseburgers and fries. Recently, breakfast burritos have been added to the menu on weekends... of course we had to try those too and they were amazing! The salsas that accompany the burritos add another depth of flavor. Grinderz has a chill skateboarder vibe and decor. They keep the restaurant super clean and provide you with excellent customer service. The staff here is great - very warm and welcoming. If you are in the area, you should definitely try Grinderz! I highly recommend it! read more

Visited Grinderz on a Friday night and it was not busy at all. Service is very friendly and the worker in the front was super bubbly and welcoming. 1. Hawaiian Burger with fries combo and Neo shake The burger had a very flavorful sauce that wasn't too runny or messy. Bonus points for the bun not getting soggy and actually holding the burger together! The patty could've been seasoned just a touch more, but overall it was a very enjoyable burger. The fries were also the BEST type of fries with the craggly awesome texture. Neapolitan shake was super flavorful with the strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. The shake didn't taste artificial at all! 2. Spicy Grind with Onion Rings combo and Oreo shake Ooooooh boy that's a spicy burger, but a good level of spice. This burger was also a flavor bomb with all the different toppings in it, but the patty could've used another sprinkle of salt. The onion rings were super crunchy and you know when you bite into an onion ring and the whole thing comes out? Well that didn't happen here! Not even once. Please please please get the Oreo shake. This place can easily be a top contender. Unfortunately the fryer was not working so I couldn't make the best out of my first visit. I'll definitely be going back to get the full experience soon. I had the California burger and instead of the fries I got a regular burger which was top notch. The bun, the patty and the veggies were all working so well! The place is located in a little shopping center with other places. Plenty of parking. Once I go back I'll be updating my review which I'm assuming would make me love this place even more. read more
Solid burger spot located at the Old World Village in HB. Came here for the first time after hearing good things about the place. Came here while in the area for work. The place is decorated with lots of skateboards. The place has a fun vibe. The girl at the register was really nice and talked through all my menu questions. I ordered the Cali Style Burger with a turkey patty substitute. I really like that they offer burgers with a turkey patty since I'm trying to watch how much red meat I'm consuming. The food was really good, and the fries were nice and crispy. Prices are reasonable considering what a burger combo costs at a fast food restaurant. Really good burgers at a reasonable price. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area and craving a burger. read more

The burgers here are huge! I got the double cheeseburger and I could've got a regular cheeseburger. The burger patties are thick and juicy, bun is soft and the lettuce and tomato is fresh. It cones with 100 island dressing or chipotle mayo. The combo comes with crispy beer battered fries and you can ask for ranch for dipping. I can't wait to try the Cali burger and Hawaii burger. I definitely recommend trying this local gem out. read more

Food was incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting, even with taking it back to our hotel room to eat it. The yelp reviews I read prior to going in were very accurate with the food being great and extremely affordable. Coming from a skate background as well, it was cool to see some signed boards hanging on the walls with some big names in the skateboarding industry on them. I'll definitely be back when visiting HB. read more

This has been on my must try list for awhile. I was craving a burger so decided to finally stop on by. We called our order in. The person who answered explained a few things on the menu and was very helpful! We ordered a few cheeseburgers and a bunch of sides (fries, pigsty fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, zucchini). We also got a chicken strips kids meal for my toddler. The burgers were really tasty! Definitely would order again. I can't even pick a favorite side because I loved them all! My daughter loved the chicken! Whenever she eats without prompting, I'm happy! My father in law picked it up so I did not get a chance to see the restaurant but he said I should come sit down and eat one day. He explained it having a surfer feel and environment. read more

I've been craving a tasty burger for a minute and Wifey and I were close so I tried Grinderz... The most delicious and satisfying burger I've had for a loooooong time! Wifey loved hers as well. We should have tried this joint sooner. The service was excellent and we came when it wasn't busy. Highly recommended if you're around HB across the street from Costco. Yum! read more

First time here. The food and service was friendly and delicious. Their was an actual kick to the spicy burger that I got. The onion rings was delicious and crispy. The beer battered fries was probably the best I've had so far. I live the decor of the restaurant. Will be coming back for the burgers and fries, but this time will do the combo with a strawberry milkshake. Will be coming back for more. read more

When I saw the burger option with egg I was sold. We stopped for lunch and it did not disappoint. We tried the Birdsnest and the Spicy Grind. They came loaded. The fries were crispy with a good flavor. Paired them with some beers and perfection. Plus it's located in a cute village area. So after grubbing a little walk around is truly perfect. read more
Shoutout to Emily. She was so welcoming and kind even 30 minutes before closing she was so graceful with us. She didn't make us feel rushed or awkward just because they were closing soon. The burgers were great as always. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. The pigsty burger is so good and the bbq and buffalo chicken bites were good as well. Not sure if I just came on an off day, but the burgers we got today were very disappointing. It's especially saddening because it was our first time back in about 9ish months and this used to be our favorite burger spot. We are always raving about the food quality to friends and family whenever the chance is given. Unfortunately, today's patties were dry, compressed, and honestly resembled Big Mac patties from McDonald's (photos attached). I love McDonald's, but not at three times the price. The single cheeseburger combos with Pigsty fries came out to $17.50 each. The fries and service were solid as always, which is why I'm still giving 2 stars. read more

Is there an updated menu? It is not posted online.
There are some new things but the basics will always be the same. They just added burgers that used to be considered on the "secret menu."
Can this place accommodate parties of 15+? And is it 21 and over only?
It's all ages and it's small to medium size with indoor and outdoor seating I would just call first very friendly staff!
What brand patty do they use on the veggie burger?
We are currently using a black bean vegan patty. However, I have an email in to the rep for beyond meat to start testing these. If it means anything my wife is not vegetarian but orders our veggie burger everytime shes in.
Is the veggie burger vegan?
Not sure as I am not vegan. But, it tasted really, really good!
