When we first moved to New Jersey, we stumbled upon this little cafe and I must say the cappuccinos are absolutely delicious! I've also had the crepes, coxhina (which are the most delicious things I've ever had!!) and the Nutella nata which my mom always asks me to bring back to Buffalo when I visit. The workers are always friendly and it's a great local business to support. I definitely recommend this high quality inexpensive cafe to anyone in the area!

Wish our chocolate croissant was packed with a little more chocolate, but overall, it was pretty good. I'll definitely have to return & try more of their yummy-looking pastries.

I stopped by to grab breakfast with a friend recently. They have a good selection of breakfast and lunch items to pick from. I got a bacon, egg and cheese. I also ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice. I really enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. The OJ was very good too! Staff were friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have a good selection of baked goods. Parking is a little difficult in the area.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and wanted breakfast. This places natas look amazing so I decided to come here and enjoy breakfast and some natas. Oh my goodness their natas is amazing. Best I've had in awhile. My husband and I ordered breakfast as well. I got the smoked salmon bagel and my husband got the garden omelette. The food was pretty tasty, however, it was veryyyyy slow for our food to come out. The service was good but not exceptional. I took a star out because of it. Great place to get some natas but I probably wouldn't return for breakfast.

Stumbled upon this place for lunch. We got a variety of pastel de natas and the sweet diablo sandwich. One of the favorite pastel de natas in town- adding Nutella is genius! The sandwich was reallly good too- I would def come back and try more. Service was great - they gave me several recommendations.

5/22 Pastel de nata - the BOMB!

A RARE EDIBLE rated Portuguese pastries and sandwiches. This review is based on 2 weekday visits in May, 2022. +. Ambiance is a working class neighborhood bakery cafe. Inside are long cases of fresh baked goods. Customers s order, wait and take their goodies to their outside sidewalk patio. Where, a half dozen tables are filled with locals conversing in Portuguese and in Spanish. They all spoke English as well. Not fancy but friendly local vibe. ++. Roc's offer breakfast, sandwiches, pastries and cake and coffee beverages. We tried several pastries, a sandwich, slice of a cake and a soda. +++. The Savage Sandwich was big enough to split and was DELICIOUS! Came with one of the best fries I've ever eaten. It was coated with something similar to panko and double fried? +. Berliner was alright but not as good as ones in the Algarve +++. Pastil de nata - the BOMB of all egg tarts, this is my FAVE. ++ Pastil de Nutella was very good +. Torta de laranja was well portioned and rich + Guava tart had pleasant soft textures and wasn't sweet + Price is quite reasonable for the quality and the quantity + Service was friendly and prompt. Their togo box is typical..meant for local carry out. + Parking is limited street and free. Roc's is definitely a destination if I'm within an hour :-) MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

Found this spot while looking for coffee. Serving size was great, taste was great and the coffee was amazing. I had a omelette and it brought home fries. Will be coming back.

After having many single sliced of their tres leches cake, we ordered a custom a tres leches cake for my daughter's college graduation party. Just as the single slices, this custom made cake was delicious! All of our guests raved about how good it was. I'm looking forward to the next party so I can order my next cake! They were great to work with as well. At the bakery, the service is always great & working with them for the cake was just as wonderful. The cake was made exactly as the picture we provided. My daughter & guests were very happy!!

This is a great little hidden gem of a bakery not too distant from Newark International Airport. The prices are super affordable and the quality is amazing. I feel so ripped off going to The Cheesecake Factory after eating their gourmet cheesecakes here @ ROC's Café. They've got a nice wide variety of breakfast and lunch options and also fresh squeezed orange juice which is a must for any restaurant of this type. All of the baked goods behind the glass look immaculate and delicious looking. I'll need to try some of their new menu items next time. I went with the traditional brunch combo platter including scrambled eggs, avocado, pork roll/Taylor ham, hash browns, and toast. ¡Everything is muy delicioso!

    Lox bagel

Food was amazing! Had the Loz bagel and it was so scrumptious!!! The staff are all very friendly!

My BLT! First of all can we talk about this GREEN tomato!! It tasted like grass

Just got off my plane and this was my first time in New Jersey, so I decided to try this bakery:…read more The bacon egg and cheese ($5.99) was honestly really good. It came on a mollete roll that was crispy on the outside, and everything worked well together. Definitely my favorite thing I got. The pastel de nata was also solid -- nice light, crispy crust with a smooth, creamy filling. The Brazilian cheese bread (3 for $1) wasn't great though. It was chewy but it didn't taste fresh, so it wasn't crispy and ended up being kind of dense. Same with the beef empanada ($2.99) -- I'd probably skip it. The filling was dry, crumbly, and didn't have much flavor, just plain ground beef. Overall, I won't be back in New Jersey anytime soon, but coming from California it felt really cheap for a local spot. If I do come back, I'd probably try a different place.

I've been coming to Teixeira's Bakery since I was born, and it's truly a staple of the Ironbound…read more There's something so special about walking in and feeling that mix of tradition, community, and incredible food. Everything is always fresh and beautifully displayed, the space is clean and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and efficient even when it's busy. Whether you're grabbing something quick to go or sitting down to enjoy a coffee and pastry, there's plenty of room and it never feels chaotic. It's one of those places that's stood the test of time for a reason -- consistent, authentic, and always delicious.
