We walked in to look for a grill for my husband and, Russ was very very helpful ! He was wonderful and made suggestions, but the price tagging in the location was very deceiving and not helpful. We proceeded to ask questions and we were informed that some thing was one price but then they were two different prices that were not there, needed to be added on so it almost double the cost of the item. So the assistant manager Kerry came over and I asked about the pricing and he said absolutely not, people move my price tags everywhere, he was not very nice!! I found out he was the assistant manager, and I didn't find him very hospitable for a customer service relatable. If you go into this location ask for Russ do not ask for Kerry, He was not very nice and I will not deal with him ever! read more

I had a great experience! I was on my way to the big orange store and remembered that Rocky's Ace Hardware was right around the corner. I never shopped there before and I was blown away by how well stocked and organized it was! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and met Thomas when I found what I was looking for. Thomas helped me and I ended up browsing the entire store and bought more than I planned. My wife and I just recently "Migrated" to Binks Pointe - Wellington, Florida this Summer 2022. A couple of things I wanted to share. Rocky's Ace Hardware of Wellington is truly awesome. Yes - "Old Fashion - Neighborhood" Hardware stores are alive and well. Please allow me to take a few moments to share my thoughts about this "Wellington Gem". (1) Early this Summer - when we settled into our home we needed to find Air Conditioning Filters which would fit our unique Air Conditioning system; Thank you Rocky's Ace Hardware for producing custom-sized Air Conditioning filters for our home Air Conditioning system. Your staff were so polite, kind and helpful in accommodating us and getting us the right fit. (2) Finally - Just recently, we purchased an amazing Napoleon portable BBQ. Special thanks to our incredibly super kind, knowledgeable and helpful sales associate Joshua. Andrea and I greatly appreciate your kindness and helpfulness in ensuring that we got what we came shopping for. Much "Love" and "Shout Out" to "Texas" Russell for helping me recently with organizing transporting our grill safely back home. Finally - I want to personally thank the Store Manager - "Bill" for his commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction and happiness. I won't be shopping anywhere else; Truly excellent hardware store. This is just to share feedback to the management and the dude who was watering the plants at the front of the store this morning. I live about a mile away from the store, and I was out to run an errand this morning and thought I would stop in to grab several light bulbs for my under the cabinets lighting in the kitchen. As I walked up to the front door, there was a guy watering the plants talking to an associate who was standing in the open doorway. At about 6 feet from the door, I could hear them talking, but wasn't paying attention because it wasn't my conversation. At about 4 feet, plant watering guy barks at me, "WE AREN'T OPEN!!" The associate then retreated inside the store and the door closed. It was 8:35 am and on the door I see the helpful sign saying "New hours....Sunday - 9:00 am. I hope that the sign is helpful to others. It's actually useless to me, because from now on I will go to Lowe's, Home Depot, or just order from Amazon. Hope the plants do well. Update: Yesterday, I bought two mini bulbs for the same lighting fixtures that I was going to buy more of this morning. Pretty basic halogen G4 base, yesterday I bought two 10 watt bulbs, which were $6.99 each. I had guessed at the watts because there was no visible markings and I figured I would go with the middle option (5, 10, and 20W). Turns out, they weren't bright enough and I hadn't noticed that an additional bulb had burnt out. So, I was going to buy three 20W bulbs at around $20 from Rocky's before watering plant guy barked at me. Same bulb brand 20W was available in a 12 pack on Amazon for $6.99 (arrives tomorrow, no shipping cost because of Prime). I have always had a good experience here except for today. I asked one man three times where corner bead for drywall was and got three different answers. He never offered to show me and never offered to have any other employee help. Seemed to be annoyed with me. Shorter man with beard and glasses was wearing his mask off one ear the entire time.... The store is well stocked, and MOST of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I'm glad there's a reliable hardware store in Wellington.

I was at the store this afternoon. There was a sign at the entrance where it clearly stated that employees and customers are required to wear masks. I counted at least 4 people during my 5 minutes of being at the store that were not wearing masks at all. 2 if them were with employees. I called them when I got home and mentioned their sign. I asked if they were simply not enforcing the mask guidelines. The man I spoke to, Mike, just said they will address it if they see customers without a mask. I let him know that there were a couple of people with employees that weren't wearing them. The employees are NOT enforcing it whatsoever. (Mike had nothing to say at this point)They may feel uncomfortable doing so. If they aren't enforcing it, DON'T HAVE A SIGN UP!! read more

Last week I found the propane hose for my gas grille was not sealing properly and leaking. I checked online and found Ace had them in stock. I ran up there right away. I walked in and got about 50 feet into the store, the mgr Mike came up and said the store was closing, but if I knew what I wanted he would get it. I described the hose and he directed me to the correct aisle and assigned an employee from the back to assist. It was all very quick and I was able to repair the grille right a way. Thanks, Mike for letting me complete my transaction and resolving my problem. read more

guy who i believe was the manager told me i need to go back and put my bag at the front of the store while i was grabbing the one and only product i needed. every other employee was great to interact with up until that point. i ride a motorcycle so i need a bag to put the items i spend my hard earned money on inside of to bring them home. theres no sign indicating store policy and i believe i was judged unfairly for one reason or another by this guy. what a tool.. literally read more

Just had a less-than-pleasurable experience picking up an online order at Rocky's. I initially went to the front counter and was told to head to the back service desk to pick it up. When I began to speak, the guy at the service desk cut me off and said "what's the name?" After telling him, he disappeared to the back and came out with a box. When I tried to confirm what was inside, he said "It's whatever you ordered." Nice. I'm not sure if it's just women they treat this way or if they're nasty to everyone. I try to support local businesses but this one leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Recently found this local gem in search of fasteners the big box stores didn't carry. The staff is always friendly, and knowledgeable. I might have bought a standard fire extinguisher on the cheap at Lowe's or Home Depot, but the young guy was so well versed in the thing, I probably paid a little more, but got a more versatile device. There's no substitute for informed customer service. It's a little out of my way, but after 2 visits, it's going to be my future first stop. read more

I am so glad I came here! I brought my keys in to get duplicates (plain simple house keys). They made them and they worked! It sounds really silly but I brought the exact same house key to home depot and when I got home the copied keys didn't work! I had the same experience with home depot with my previous house keys as well and even using different locations. I'll be bringing my keys here from now on! read more

Rocky's is a great store. The staff is extremely helpful and although they may not be the cheapest hardware store in town (compared to Loews's etc.), or have the largest selection, they are convenient and make it up in customer service. I love Rocky's! read more

This is the closest Home Improvement/Hardware store to my house so I really loved the idea of this place. Unfortunately, my most recent experiences here were terrible. After the hurricane, Rocky's ACE Hardware conveniently altered their return policy. They created a list of items ineligible for return. The list is described as being specific to hurricane related items but in reality the list encompasses everything in the store. How nice. This was a surprise to me when I went to return my unused/unopened items to the cashier - John. From the start John was rude and impatient with me. Not sure if he was having a bad day or if he just doesn't like his job. I expressed my frustration in civil manner. Instead of John politely explaining the hurricane policy, he chose to be short, rude and pushy to get me out the store. As I turned to the manager, Kerry Wells, I looked back at John as he mumbled "F**king A**hole". I was shocked, I've never experienced anything like this in any Service industry. Kerry Wells was polite but refused to acknowledge the situation because he, "didn't hear him say it". The store manager Bill wasn't there. I did get to speak with District Manager Allyson. She was polite but did little to repair the situation. Being the only hardware store within a 15 minute radius, I'm convinced the discourteous behavior from the staff is due to their false sense of importance to the community. I will never give this place my business again and I'll be sure to pass the word on so no friends/family have to experience what I did at this store. Going forward, I'll make the drive to Home Depot or Lowes. read more

on tuesday my 79 year old father purchased 2 small charcoal grills for himself and a neighbor, 29.99 each. he told the clerk that if the storm missed us he would be returning the grills, the clerk replied "good idea" today he was told he could not return them, they were still in the box. the manager said no and walked away. when we got there we were directed to read a green piece of paper with a list of items that were not returnable, charcoal grills were not on the list. read more
