He called his office and later the Liberty corporate office. He took measurements and photos, forwarded them to the office. He said you have a guarantee, so they should replace the safe. I visited CK's Lockshop a couple of times before purchasing a Liberty Safe. On the first visit Marc showed me their inventory and explained all about the different safes. He was a plethora of information. When I went back to make my purchase I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. That's when TB asked if I'd be interested in a larger safe for the same price. Sure!! Between manufacturer and store discounts the larger safe actually cost less than the small on would have. The larger safe came equipped with the accessories I was adding on to the smaller one, so the same price was really less. Their guys delivered my safe today. They were so respectful of my home. They put down ramps as to not damage my door sill or frame. Once in place they explained how to reset the combination and all other details about my safe. This is a doozy. I put a downpayment on hardware for 3 doors the last week of November. The items needed to be ordered and mid-December an appoint was made to install the door hardware for Tuesday, Jan.7th. at 8:30am. Sure enough, I receive a phone call from the installer at 8:30am on Jan. 7th to tell me he just noticed that all the parts weren't there. I actually thought I was being punked as I had already received a text confirming the appointment. I am so angry at their obvious mismanagement and VIGOROUSLY expressed this using some choice swear words. With their arrogance I received no sorry for the inconvenience. No statement saying they'll expedite getting the parts. I'd cancel the $1.700 order, but I'll be punished for "restocking fees." Now I guess I need to wait for 6 weeks for them to finally be able to get my merchandise installed. Just buyer beware. read more

I needed a key made for a file cabinet that was not an easy one to do. I first went to another locksmith who said that they could do it but would not and could not guarantee that the key they made would work. I went to CK's Locksmith with the same issue. Alec again said that they were not sure if they could do it. HOWEVER, if the key they made did not work, I could come back where they would make another one and if that did not work would refund my money. The keys they made worked the first time. Great job! I went driving around today and stopped in to an ACE Hardware store to get a specialty key cut. Their machine was being serviced, so I drove 20 minutes out of my way the CKs, only to find that they were close. To bad you have a click on at least 1 star to leave a review, because after the unfortunate experience of dealing with this company that has gotten way to big for their britches, I promise I will sleep outside rather than ever deal with CK's horrible staff ever again. The after hours person, as he called himself, as in 5:30 PM, not AM, only answered his phone to be rude and obnoxious, nothing else. After he told me he would charge $200 for all the things he wouldn't do, he contorted he was at dinner in Ft. Lauderdale and would NOT be available to help me for at least 1 1/2 hours. But he spat out I was more than welcome to try and find someone better that was more reasonably priced. That is exactly what I did, but I had too, because he blew me off after the initial conversation. If I only knew he would ignore any further phone calls from me, I could have had the competent locksmith come 2 hours earlier, who got to my location in less than half an hour, and had a hard job done in less than 15 minutes. He charged less than 1/2 what the Jerk quoted me. But according to Mr. Personality, he didn't need my business, and he will never have the opportunity to get it again, because that is the last time I call CK. Blowing people off is the way CK does business now, let's see how long they last doing that. Obviously CK isn't dealing with reality, because they are no longer the only locksmith in town, and because of their over inflated egos, they seem to think they can charge twice as much as their competition, that is, when they decide to show up. One of the words that comes to mind has 8 letters and begins with an "A". But no need to be upset, they will be a memory in no time. read more

4 stars for service only. Called for a re keying job on a new house. Mobile tech on time, good work, everything works. The invoice however did not make sense to me as CK charged a $99 service charge on top of the $25/door labor plus parts to re key. I understand the service call charge to come to out however every local service company I deal with (appliance, air conditioning etc) all eliminate the service charge when chargeable work is done. I called the manager who explained that they charge this fee to everyone to cover their overhead (truck, insurance, etc). Their labor rate is $80/hr.plus parts. This rate should cover their overhead and profit as I doubt they are paying the tech $80/hr. Seems like a bit of a grab to me. jt read more

Called CK after not having any luck with the "handymen" who was working on my house.. They were the epitome of customer service. They scheduled for the next day and I was very happy with the service that Thomas Rice provided. He fixed the door and installed a knob for a door. That door had been banging in the wind for quite an extended time..the mechanism worked like butter. He wasn't satisfied till it worked perfectly. I take care of a couple properties in the area and have had two occasions where I have had to reach out to them to service systems that that they had previously installed. The first was a top of the line surround sound system where all components had been purchased and installed by them; spare no expense. When the owner needed service they said they no longer sold or serviced home sound systems. The second was a home security system that they installed and supposedly were monotering. While checking on the home I noticed the phone was not working, consequentty the alarm was not working. They were not aware it was not working? Then when I called they said they only had one technician that they would have him call me. When he did not call I called him and he made me wait two weeks for a service call. I told him at the time I made the appointment that I had to be at work at 11:00 that day so we made the appointment for between8-10am. Then the afternoon before my appointment he called me to tell me that he would be running late. I reminded him of our conversation but he did not care. I drove there (at the time of my previously scheduled appointment to see if they were aware that I was being put off and the home was unprotected.) The technician was sitting in the back room and never came out to talk to me. Instead I could over hear him telling his associate "there was a time misunderstanding and that he told me he would call me when he was done with his first appointment that he had to do first to let me know if he was going to make it. Very unprofessional! It seems that they are all about selling systems but will not be there after to service what they sell. read more

We live in California and have a rental house in FL. CK rekeyed our house on Tuesday but when Dana called me on Wednesday for payment, the charge was more than I thought it would be because I thought there were 10 keys to rekey. I told her that I thought it was 10 but she said it was 15. I told her that I'll need to check into it. The next morning, she left me a VM at 6:30 CA time. I had surgery first thing that day (yesterday), so I really didn't have time to call her back. The rest of the day, I was just in pain despite pain meds, so I took it easy, icing down my jaw. This morning I have a VM from 5 am and 2 emails from Dana telling me why it was 15 rekeys, which that's fine, but she was really rude in her VM and her emails threatening to "take action" if I don't pay today and that I never called her back yesterday. I think I had a pretty good reason not to have called back. Anyways, very unpleasant experience and I will never use them again. Work was done on Tuesday afternoon and by Friday, I'm being threatened. read more

He replaced my two front door locks and supplied four new keys (and adjusted the door hinges to eliminate the squeak and some rubbing against the door frame.) His work is excellent and he showed up on time. The hardware is very reasonably priced. I have no complaints and I'm very happy with CK's very capable service. WOW, talk about exceptional customer service. I live in Boca Raton so I initially phoned a local locksmith to come out to assist me in removing a security lock set from a screen door. The Boca Locksmith was booked so they referred me to CK's. I phoned CK's and spoke with Gary who advised me on how to remove the Australian made lock set without having to have a locksmith, though he let me know that if I had any problem removing it to call him back. Following Gary's instructions I was able to successfully remove the lock in a flash. CK's now has a new customer and one who will refer this business to others. Honest, reliable, knowledgeable staff.
