He said that he s driving for over two hours and I told him we were ~50 miles away I told him I could afford his diagnostic fee through the shell messager and that I did not expect him to not request this but that I do not carry that much cash and I offered him as much cash as I had to begin the job but they the rest he requested ($300+) would have to come from my care providers office and that I might not chose to negotiate any more with out them my handy capable condition has insisted that I might not be in full mental faculties to handle heated negotiations over money but that it is healthy to have interactions with business to get better I assured him that I worked give him 2 bags to take my machine but that I would like to have a buisness card or documentation that I had left him the machine with a little bit of an idea on the amont for his hours of labor. Wilson and Myers diagnosed a faulty sensor and charged approximately $2,000 for the repair, which required multiple return visits. To make matters more confusing, I requested a quote but was sent what appeared to be an invoice, which was accidentally paid before the work was completed. After several visits, they declared the repair complete, but the machine immediately developed a new problem it never had before: instead of producing normal ice cubes, it started dropping large blocks of ice. The technician also damaged the plastic side grate on the machine. When I raised concerns, Wilson and Myers proposed another $2,000 repair to fix the new issue and denied responsibility, claiming the problems were pre-existing. Their response was essentially that I didn't know the condition of my own machine before they worked on it. I've used this ice machine for years and know exactly how it performed before their repair. It never produced giant blocks of ice, and the side grate was not damaged before their technician serviced it. To make matters worse, I repeatedly received calls and texts late at night, sometimes as late as 10 PM to midnight, including weekends, even after asking them to stop. In the end, I spent $2,000, dealt with multiple service visits, ended up with new problems, and was asked to spend another $2,000 to fix issues that appeared after their repair.
