This guy has another repair service for the same thing; neither of them are any good; the first one came out a couple of years ago and put a new pull rope on, but it came off the 2nd or 3rd time and he never returned calls or text. The other service he broke a part and said he'd be back the next day but never returned after several calls and texts to him. I ordered the part and fixed it myself. read more

DO NOT USE THIS GUY. He came out to fix our mower when it wouldn't start, charged us $35 for a "travel fee" that he neglected to tell us about prior to him coming out (he had just said he would come out to us because we're close), scalped a portion of our yard when he tested it, and when we still had issues with our mower after he left, it took us two weeks of trying to contact him, a number of unanswered phone calls, and finally a pissed off phone conversation with him to get him back out to us. We called THE DAY AFTER he came out because our mower wouldn't mow 2 feet without dying. He did not shown up for our scheduled appointment THREE times (with NO courtesy phone call or apology). John does great work! It took him about 10 minutes to figure out what was wrong with my mower. He made sure I would know exactly what the cost is before I left. The work was done exactly as promised. And his work is much more economical than any one else I spoke to. Two related things: The address listed in Yelp is wrong. Call John and get the right address. Called several certified dealers for my Honda about getting my lawnmower tuned up. They all said I could bring it in and it would be 2-3 weeks and it would be ready. Quoted me prices from $90-$140 for tuneup. That was too long and totally unacceptable. They clearly didn't want the business. I looked up Ronnie, who bought Jeremiah's, and he immediately picked up the phone and said he could be there the next morning. He showed up 20 minutes early but called before he arrived. He quoted me the trip charge and price and it was spot on. He tuned up, sharpened blades, and had my lawn mower in tip top shape in less than an hour. There as no mess and hassle at all. He's a very pleasant, polite, and professional man. Always says "yes sir" which is nice to hear this day and age. I would highly recommend Ronnie. I have a 20+ year old mower that I inherited. It had been sitting in a shed for the past 10 years and was not running. I wondered if it was worth fixing or was I better off just getting a new one. When I called Jeremiah Small Engine Repair, John did not hesitate in his belief that he would get it running. I had called him late morning on a Saturday expecting for him to schedule me within the next couple of weeks. To my surprise, he was in my neighborhood and told me he could be over by 2:00. He was on time and it took him about 15 minutes to change the carburetor, spark plug, oil, and sharpen the blade. My old Sears Craftsman lawn mower refused to start this summer, so I did a GOOGLE search and came across Jerimiah Small Engine Repair. After reading the reviews here on Yelp, I decided to give them a call. When I explained to John (owner/employee of the company) my problem, he said that it probably just needed to have the carburetor cleaned. John came to my house (How awesome is that!? I was trying to figure out how I was going to get my lawn mower in my car to take it somewhere!) and spent about an hour cleaning and servicing my lawn mower. He was very personable and very knowledgeable. He ended up putting new gas and oil into my machine. In addition, he left a new can of carburetor cleaning fluid with me should I have a need for cleaning the carburetor again (all free of charge!). My lawn mower started to smoke and quit working. I didn't want to purchase another mower since they're so expensive. I found Jerimiah from a Google search and called him. He said that the mower probably only needs a tune up which includes an oil change, cleaning the carburetor, sharpening the blades and new filter. I would leave ZERO stars if it where possible. I called them at 7:55am to find out the open at 8. While driving to their store I continued to call to at least get a turnaround time for my two mowers, no on ever answered. Once there at 8:05am they were still closed. I sat around and waited for over 45 minutes. While waiting I drove around the backside of their storefront and the place was empty. Two other individuals tried to stop by while I was waiting also. One of them mentioned he tried to stop by earlier the day before and they were closed, after finally getting someone on the phone they said they would be there first thing today. Well, that was obviously NOT the case. After waiting 45 minutes I left, tried calling them a few more times and finally at 9:30am someone answered. They tried to sound surprised that no one was there at 8am and made the excuse that they had inspectors at the store doing an inspection for a renovation they were planning. That was a total lie, there was NO ONE there, even out back. They have two or three dogs in the store as well that were at the front door the whole time I waited. If anyone got out of their car they would bark so there is no way they had inspectors around doing anything, those dogs wouldn't have just been lying there if they had. I don't trust these guys and I'm currently looking for another small engine repair place near by. read more

Don't waste your time! I scheduled twice to have service done on my lawnmower. The first time their employee, Ronnie, sent a text 45 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive stating that he was running late. I called back and left a message for him to call to reschedule. He failed to do so. I figured that he may have not gotten the message, so I called back a couple of days later. I spoke to Ronnie and scheduled again and was assured he would be there. Once again he failed to arrive as promised and failed to call to notify me. I texted him to see if he was still coming, but never received a response. Avoid this company. I tried to use this place of business twice. I took my snow blower there for a gas leak. They said they fixed it and I got it home and filled it up with gas and it leaked all over my garage floor. I then went on line and found out there had been a product recall on the gas tank. I took the snowblower back and they said they would do a warranty repair. I said good, the problem is they took two months to complete the repair. Winter was over and I used my snowblower once. I also took my lawn mower there and they said they fixed it. I had my craftsman self-propelled mower go down the tubes a few weeks ago. Basically it did not self-propel anymore. Ripped off!! Don't waste your time and money. This guy disassembled my lawn mower while I was in my home watching my kids. He said it needed a simple repair and will come back the next day to with the part. I waited for hours and he NEVER showed up! Never responded to text messages and calls so we took it to a friend.
