I bought over $300 in plants and shrubs from Rocky Mountain Nursery about a year ago. All but two of the plants are doing well. However, one of my Japanese Maple trees that I paid $55 for died and one of my Mexican Orange Blossom shrubs also turned brown only a few months after I planted it.
I went back to the nursery today with my receipts and with pictures of my dead plants. The response I got was "sorry, we don't have any guarantees on our plants". Apparently the Japanese Maple supposedly died from a "fungus" and the other plant from supposedly not being planted right. I wasn't expecting a full refund, or replacement, but it would have been nice to have been offered a discount on replacement plants. The response I got for this suggestion was "We sell our plants at such a low price, we cannot afford to offer any money back or replacement of plants that have died"
My suggestion is to go to Home Depot for your garden plants and shrubs. At least if they die within a year, you can get a refund. read more
