This is the first time I've tried Outsidepride zinnias - this company has a wonderful selection, so many beautiful options. I ordered a single packet of Double Zahara Raspberry Ripple. I started them indoors in a seed starting tray. Unfortunately, I had zero germination. Luckily it was early enough to order another round of zinnias from another company. Same starting process, and thankfully I had 100% germination. Now, I don't know why the Outsidepride seeds did not germinate, but I'm not going to fault them because I know anything can happen. And since I only had a single packet of seeds, I did not seek help from their customer service team. I do plan on ordering seeds for next season and should I experience something similar, I will call on them for help. I'm looking forward trying rudbekia, geranium, cornflower, and zinnias seeds. These varieties should thrive in my zone 10 area. Hoping for the best! read more

I ordered the BermudaGrass Maya Blackjack II seeds from Outside Pride, and overall I'm really happy with the results. For under $100, I was able to seed a whole section of my yard, and after some TLC and weed control, I can honestly say I now have the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood. The grass came in thick, green, and healthy. It's a beautiful variety--dense and lush once established. However, I did notice some weeds mixed in early on. I'm not sure if they came from the seed bag or from the soil, but I had to do some extra work with post-emergent weed killer to get things cleaned up. Once I got that under control, the results were impressive. I reached out to customer support to ask about the weeds but never heard back. That was disappointing--1/5 for support. Still, the value and end result made it worth it. I'd rate the product itself a solid 4/5 and the value 5/5. I purchased from the website online and my order number is OUT-23442342. Since she wanted a few colors, we planted Geranium Seeds Mix seeds. She was surprised how many colors grew and the blooms were wide back at it. The weather has cooled and I can get in one more planting before this winter. My family and i purchased an Aerogarden system. We decided to get seeds online from Outside pride and started with Rosemary. The germianted very fast and we were able to plant them in the garden within two weeks. The plants grew even more robust when outside and then kept growing. The fragrants is amazing and we think they help keep mosquitos and other insects away from teh tomatos and squash. We will add to the mix and gonna buy more from this company. Inferior, Expensive Product. Terrible Customer Service I bought some microclover seed last fall, preparing the soil and following directions for planting. It came up fine and looked good in early spring. I bought more seed and planted this spring. Once again it germinated and established well. The first time we had a few hot days, large patches of the microclover quickly turned brown, shriveled and died. I informed customer service of the problem and received an email that told me they were sorry but that happens if you over water. That was it. I did not over water. They didn't ask for pictures, didn't ask about my watering or care of the lawn, the weather, where I live. Nothing. No customer service at all. This product is advertised as drought resistant, hardy. ect. It's really just a broadleaf weed that is sold a price more expensive than the best grass seed because it needs little care once established and no fertilizing. It died from a few sunny days while other wild clover in adjoining areas thrive. Don't waste your money and time with this company and its overpriced, inferior microclover seed because they don't back up their product. I've bought a lot of mini-clover and white clover seeds from Outsidepride across 5 years. It's okay - germinates well and very fast. However, it is not heat tolerant as they claim. I live in zone 6. We had three days of a heat wave this summer and literally 90% of all of my clover planted across 5 years fried. Completely died. This stuff is not cheap! If you get a heat wave, even for a day, water, water, water it. read more

I have ordered from here twice. Easy to do via the website, which has a wide selection of grass seeds. i ordered on the 50 ish pound range. The prices are better than most and shipping pretty quick. i can't attest to the germination of the first bag (either way), could be me, so this time different seeds with coatings for better results. Thanks to Outside Pride's false advertising, my yard is ruined. I spent thousands of dollars and so many hours overhauling it, and planted their miniclover that's advertised to only grow 4-6" tall. Well, what I know now from their "customer service" is that it's that height only if you mow it to that height. Yup, you heard right, that's their defense as the miniclover is 15" tall in my yard. It's also straggly and nothing like the photos, despite following planting directions to a T. They've taken no responsibility, not even refunding the purchase price, so clearly not a company to be trusted. I gave them plenty of time to make this right before posting publicly. This is an awesome company. I was in need of adding something to the order and I called their line, the order only line said they wouldn't be able to help but said I can email. Overnight, right away, Candy helped cancelled the order so I can placed a new one in with the additional items I want to put on the order. They helped me out well and they stay in communication well and carry out professionally. On contrary, I placed on order with territorial seeds (from Oregon) and they are terrible. They promised a discount to adjust the overpriced shipping fees but then did not honor the promise so I have to cancel the entire order. Such a hassle and a waste of time. I ordered 200 seeds of viola freckles cause I was going to use them as ground cover. I started them indoors and followed the instructions to a T. I even separated the tiny things into by 4s cause it said each 3-4 for 1 plant. After 6 weeks not a single thing had grown. Not one. After some research I found out that they have to be cold stratified. Nothing online or on the packet said anything about that. I emailed customer support, no response. This is a true scam. I ordered some seed from them and they never arrived. When I wrote customer service, Candy Hake, one of the owners, gave a snarky reply that I must have misplaced the envelope. After another few weeks of waiting I asked for a refund and the line went cold. The phone number only connects to a sales woman who is either unable or unwilling to connect you through to anyone in the company. Porch piracy was not an option as A) I have USPS Informed Delivery and a Ring system, so I know what mail I am receiving and who has been on my porch at all times, and B) as Candy so eloquently put it, "It's easily overlooked by our customers looking for a box or large package, since it's just a small manila envelope and would be amongst your catalogues, letters and junk mail.", thus no crook would have thumbed through my letters to pull that one out. I ordered a quarter pound and 5000 more of wildflower varieties. I received nothing but marigold seeds that were not included on their website description. I emailed this company for the tracking number and to resend my order that I never received to no revail. In January I ordered 3 packets of seeds from Outsidepride.com, blue cupid dart seeds, white cupid dart seeds and yarrow seeds. Each were 4.99 a packet + shipping. Later I purchased fernleaf bleeding heart seeds for my mothers new home. I am no novice with seeds but I have not grown any of these seeds before so I read everything and followed all the instructions, even verified on other websites. Fast forward and all seeds have been planted, the yarrow looks great but nothing from the others. I double check and take the next step in the bleeding heart's process but the cupid darts should have been long up. April 9th I emailed customer service explaining about the cupid dart seeds not germinating and if they could offer any insight and perhaps replacement seeds. I spoke to Candy. She was rude and blamed me for them not germinating saying that I planted them both too shallow and too deep and that because I used potting soil I killed the seeds with fertilizer. I tried these seeds two ways in two different soils by the way. I bit my lip and said I would give them another shot. During this time I found someone online that knew the seeds well and said they were easy! I located another vendor, purchased the seeds and planted them. Nearly all have come up and still nothing on my final test from Outsidepride's seeds. On May 2nd I replied to Candy and explained what I had found. I got nothing, no replies. I tried calling them but the number is only for orders and is just a call center. I went to Facebook and at first the Facebook crew was trying to help and gave me another customer service rep to contact. I did so and waited... nothing. I went back to Facebook and I was told "I'm very sorry for your experience. Candy is excellent in customer service. I have to trust that she knows what she's doing.". I asked by doing what, she hasnt done anything but ignore me and I just want this taken care of. This went back and forth a bit and in the end I was told "There is not going to be any further assistance to you." I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I made a post on their Facebook page which they removed and blocked me from posting. Please spread the word! I am out nearly $20 with shipping and this company is knowingly selling bad seeds and then refusing to make good. I wish I had purchased from them on Amazon or Ebay, at least I would have had some protection, but using their own website I have none. read more
