I purchased a package of 250 Scarlet Bee Balm seeds. I planted three separate times, and not a single seed sprouted of the entire package. This is not a difficult plant to grow, provided you have viable seeds. i've been gardening most of my life, and have NEVER had this happen. Sure, often not every seed will germinate, but 0 out of 250? Obviously it was not a viable set of seeds sent to me. I send a note to the company who promises customer service will get back to you within a matter of hours. It's been an entire day and nothing. I'll never buy from this firm again. I didn't read the reviews till after I ordered. First time I think that has happened. It had to be the one time I ordered from a bad place. I ordered several different packets because of covid-19 couldn't go to store to buy my usual spring flowers. When I got the seeds did all the proper things. It has been almost month and the only thing that has come up are the dwarf red morning glories. No creeping fig, dwarf ensign mix, rose dwarf, speedwell or sedum acre. Hours and hours on my hand and knees for what a few red glories. Elderly disabled and I was so sore. All my pots and beds empty. read more

I purchased 800 seeds through Amazon and followed all package instructions. Only ten plants out of eight hundred seeds. I ordered seashore paspalum. I'v seeded plenty of lawns before. Not 1 seed germinated. Not in full sun, shade, heavy moisture, low moisture etc... Watered twice a day. SCAMMERS! It's been 3 months since I sowed the Aubrieta Seeds and Gazania Seeds that I purchased from them. I watered regularly and nothing germinated to this day. Instead, weird weeds started growing where the seeds were sowed. I sent pics to these folks and no response. I should have read yelp before purchasing. I spoke to a very friendly lady on the phone and she made it clear the phone contact was not for customer service. However, she listened to my issue and stated she'd let the owner know. Ordered seeds flower seeds and wildflower seed and all were garbage or wrong. Wildflowers seeds grew one flower and mostly weeds. I planted two other packs of wildflowers from other companies and they grew really well next to Outside Pride 'weed mess'. Planted close to 300 Bee Balm flower seed inside to have ready for Mother's Day. None of the seeds were Bee Balm or even a flower, looks like some sort of grass. I sent two emails with all the details and called twice for support. Not a single response. Do not waste time, money, or effort trying to grow any seeds from them. Very frustrating. I have been gardening for over 40 years. I start close to 500 plants each year indoors and this is the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Stay way they are dishonest. read more

I am very disappointed in the seeds that I received from Outsidepride. I ordered ivy geranium seeds. I planted them according to instructions, and not a single one germinated!! I admit to not being a professional gardner, but I do have a green house and successfully raise a variety of peppers and tomatoes from seed. The outsidepride batch must have been defective. I found Outsidepride on the Internet and ordered dichondra seeds. They were delivered immediately and are now sprouting in my yard. I ordered another bag of dichondra seeds and they arrived the same day I left for the airport, so I didn't see them. When I got home eleven days later, I still didn't see them. So I called customer service. They were extremely helpful and it turns out the seeds were sitting in my condo mailbox the whole time I was gone! After I heard back from Outside pride a few hours later, I realized the seeds were there - in the mailbox - and sure enough, there they were. Their customer service is fantastic, and you can buy seeds not available through a local nursery of hardware store. I'm glad I found Outside pride, and our condo community looks better for it! I bought 3 flower seed varieties that I sowed both inside under lights and outside direct into the soil when it got warm here in Zone 5. NONE OF THEM GREW There is not a "contact us" on their web site and the seed return policy is 30 days, not long enough to determine if the seeds are viable. Avoid this place!!! read more

I prepared a very large bed in the back yard of about 25 feet x 18 feet in order to have an ornamental lawn of their MiniClover. I spent a lot of time and money bringing in soil and also rototiling the whole area. I cast the MiniClover seed per instructions in Spring of this year and it sprouted just fine but it is NOT a dwarf clover!!! Outsidepride states; "Miniclover® is more dwarf only reaching approximately 4 inches tall, has a much smaller leaf blade, and is not as aggressive as white Dutch making it the better lawn clover choice." This clover is now over 14 inches tall with large leaves that you find on regular clover. In a few small areas there are tiny patches of dwarf clover that are clearly different but overall 99% of this seed is regular clover. Their misrepresentation of this seed product has ruined months of work and planning for this project. read more

Beware - this is a company to avoid. I ordered grass seed from this company and spent a few hundred dollars. All down the drain. While some of the seeds germinated, most did not and much of what germinated did not survive, despite being planted and cared for by an experienced landscaper. But here's what's really BAD about this company - their complete lack of customer service. They have a 24 hr call center for orders but NO number for customer service. If you have a problem you're told to email the company and then guess what? - NO RESPONSE. My recommendation: Avoid this company. Period. They are scammers. Want more proof? Dreadful products and dreadful service. I was delivered lawn seed that had weeds in it. Called to ask for help rectifying the problem. At first, they simply didn't respond, then when I finally got them, they were rude and said it was impossible that their seed had weed seed in it. I had a pro landscaper redo the lawn with seed from his vendor and the problem was resolved. He also tested the seed from Outsideprode.com and dubbed it "subpar" and very likely to have been the source of our weed problem. Avoid this company! read more

Ordered the Bermuda Blackjack seed and lazyman fertilizer ,after contacting this company multiple times via email, since they don't have a phone number for questions , I wanted to ask how to plant as the seed looks like blue sand , and no instructions on the bag, what a joke ,and after reading the reviews here AFTER , I have decided to just eat my 100 dollars I wasted on this and go to home depot like I should have in the 1st place. I bought what supposed to be 20,000 irish moss seeds. The growing instructions say to sow 3-5 seeds per "cell" or 5,000 seeds to cover up to 100 sq feet. What i received was two tiny envelopes that each said they contained 10,000 seeds. they appeared to hold about a quarter of a teaspoon or less of black dust. imagine trying to pick up one grain of pepper but even smaller. I tried my best to pick up a couple and space them as they suggest. 6-9 inches apart. Fun for the feebleminded. This is the biggest rip i've stucked with in a long time. read more

I tried to like this business, I have ordered grass seed twice from them. Both times what was advertised was not the seed blend that was in the bag. Being in Southern Oregon I needed a very heat resistant grass and paid a premium for their Southern Combat Extreme, plus the shipping costs. Both times the grass that sprouted from the bag was the least heat resistant grass I have ever planted. Even weaker than the cheapo stuff in Walmart. I gave them a second chance thinking the first time the bag may have been mislabeled. This second 50 lb bag is absolute garbage too. It sprouts just fine, its just not the turf seed that its advertised to be. I am going to have to dump it, and get new seed from my local Grange Co-op. read more

I bought 2000 seeds of Speedwell (ground cover). I wish I had seen all the negative reviews online before I had bought the package. I have been gardening for 20+ years and am the HOA gardener where I live. I have followed the directions. It said the seeds would germinate in 15-30 days. NOT!! I then even kept some seeds on a wet towel to see if they would germinate. NOT!! I noticed the seed package does not have an expiration date on it. For all I know, they could be years old. This company does sell seeds and they are *mostly* as advertised. Sometimes you get what you ordered and other times not so much. But they sell seeds in bulk at reasonable prices, just don't expect them to be exactly what you ordered. Also, many of their seed packets are weedy. read more

This is a really good, really responsible seed seller. I have made multiple purchases for the last 3-4 years. Really a few dozen seed packs. I have had success with every one but one and they promptly refunded my money without any issue at all. And let me say this, their seed counts are generous to a fault. And yes, I have randomly actually counted the seeds. One example, seed pack of 500 lupine- I counted 560. Now you know someone at Outsidepride is not hand counting packaging numbers for every envelope, they do it by weight. A typical lupine seed weighs x , so they can set a machine to 500x and fill up a bunch of seed envelopes. You can set that machine high or low to approximate the stated package count. My check shows they set it high to insure an honest count. I cannot tell you how many sellers I bought from on eBay who cheated on this so i never bought from them again. If that lupine package had 450 I would have still said, fair enough-if you know lupine seeds you know their size, and hence weight, varies...a lot! 560 shows they are making sure they are doing right by their customers. I live in Arizona and have a very hot climate in the summer. I emailed them and asked what I should do to prep the soil and what seed would be good to plant. They emailed me back quickly and I ordered the soil prep stuff they recommended as well as the seed. I followed theirs and manufacturers instructions. I kept the seed moist for a month and only 25% came up. I originally went with them as they stated 85% germination rate, etc. Very dissatisfied. I'm just going to do sod. read more

I live in Wyoming where our winters are long with little moisture, and frequent strong and cold prairie winds. Last spring, everywhere I seeded using a shaker of OutsidePride Magic carpet Creeping Thyme. Now as the seeded areas begin to fill in, these areas are coming up with an herb I can't identify. However, I am quite sure it is not Magic carpet Creeping Thyme. I was obviously sent seeds the wrong seeds from OutsidePride package and mislabeled. Well, Boo Hoo to you Outsidepride you have just taken control of my garden with whatever seeds were in that package. I invite you to come to Wyoming and help "de-herb" whatever it is that is growing between the flagstone in my gardens. Living here I learn to plant wisely.
