Chocolate covered apples
Jean G.

This is hands down my favorite gourmet chocolate store. We travel annually to CO for our family ski trip and I always come to Vail to buy this goodness! My top favorite is the Dark chocolate smores cluster! The dark chocolate is so rich and out of this world. You can't stop once you take a bite. I also order dark chocolate pecan cluster for my husband coz he loves pecan. I get milk chocolate clusters at time but I'm not crazy about it compared to their dark chocolate. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain if you are into chocolates. The service is phenomenal and the ambiance is casual and very welcoming!

Definitely mediocre chocolate at a very high price. I mean, I get it. It's Vail, but give me a break. Half of the things I got were super super stale, almost inedible. I got about 20 dollars worth of chocolate just to have during my road trip. The chocolate covered s'mores was the most stale of all and I'm pretty sure it was the most expensive. The chocolate and caramel covered marshmallow wasn't my favorite. It had a very weird texture and flavor. The m&m bark was alright but the chocolate wasn't that tasty. Overall, I'd steer clear unless you ask for whatever is fresh or made very recently. The worker was very nice and helped us with all our questions. It's just not the best chocolate, I'd skip this place.

I love Rocky Mountain Chocolates and made good use of this location during my week stay. I bought several candy apples, milk and dark chocolate bear claws, nut clusters, several bags of chocolate caramel corn and a couple of pounds of orange sticks. Everything was very fresh and taste great. The store was clean and the staff was fast and friendly.

I wanted to compliment the amazing service by Kurt! He was so friendly from the second we walked in, he made recommendations and got to know us. Thanks for the friendly service Kurt, we hope to run into you again!

A very expensive candy apple, we asked for it to be cut... $8.99 for 1 apple

Average quality desserts, something you'd get in every mall or tourist destination. Nothing special. Honestly I think this place gets so much business that the staff just doesn't care for customers. They are not rude or mean, just busy hangout amongst themselves unless a customer calls for them. It's a kid friendly place with teens working the counter. We visit a lot of similar type businesses. This is no different. Your little ones will love it... lol.

Can u guess the flavor?

I took two bites before taking a picture. My only solution was to smooth out the top so it looks like it hadn't been touched. Either way, the ice cream is great! The French girl behind the counter was also friendly.

It says they closed at 10, I showed up at 9:05 and they had closed early. Total crap and they wouldn't open back up. Won't be returning.

We walked in and it appeared to be a quiet night, we could see the bar was pretty empty. The hostess asked if we were staying at the hotel and we said no, we were dropping by for cocktails and wished to sit outside. She told us we could sit inside at a couch area by the entrance. One of our friends walked through the bar and noticed the fire pit seating areas were available and asked a server if we could sit there instead. She looked at us and said she would have to ask the hostess if any were available. Clearly they were and they didn't want our group sitting there for some reason. The bar was practically empty so not sure what the issue would be, perhaps it was because we were not hotel guests. After not getting back to us we just sat ourselves outside. Our server was Nivas. Nivas was not overly friendly but she was attentive. We ordered a couple rounds of cocktails. They were pricy but good. The fire pit tables are very nice. If you can sit outside at a fire pit I would recommend doing so.

Such a relaxing but chic spot to enjoy a meal after being out in the mountains. Our waitress was not overbearing and gave us enough time between bites to take it all in. She also made sure we got the full experience with the hot chocolate to marvel at its glory! The food was excellent, but the butternut squash soup was truly outstanding. It had a beautiful natural sweetness with a subtle hint of apple that made the flavor feel layered and comforting, and the pepitas added the perfect little crunch. It was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. We also ordered the hummus, which tasted incredibly fresh and crisp, light, bright, and perfectly refreshing alongside the richer dishes. But the real star of the experience was the hot chocolate. It was absolutely decadent and comforting, easily one of the best cups of hot chocolate I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and the perfect treat in a snowy Vail setting. Overall, Remedy Bar delivers a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and a cozy mountain-luxury experience. I would absolutely recommend stopping in if you're visiting Vail.

The cheese fondue was not what we expected at all. I've had fondue several times in the past, but it was nothing like what I've had before. The one we ordered--supposedly the mildest option on the menu according to our server--was overwhelmingly pungent, and the sour note completely threw us off. The meat fondue was also underwhelming. The flame was too low, and the meat pieces were large and thick, so they took forever to cook, which made the whole experience feel slow and frustrating. The interior and concept are cute, but the food simply didn't live up to the price or the hype. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Let's start with the ambiance: if you've ever wondered what it would be like to stare into bubbling hot oil while questioning life choices, congratulations--this is your place. At one point the oil literally splattered into my eye. Nothing like being physically assaulted by your dinner to really set the mood. But wait... it gets better. Somewhere between dodging flying grease and trying to figure out whether I was supposed to cook my food or sacrifice it to the fondue gods, we discovered a $50 cakeage fee... ...on a cake we ordered THROUGH the restaurant. I cannot overstate how ridiculous that is. It's like buying a car and being charged a "sitting fee" for using the seats. We think we eventually got the charge removed, but only after negotiations that felt like reenacting the end of World War II. Diplomats probably reached peace treaties faster than we got our check corrected. So if you're looking for an adrenaline-filled dining adventure featuring potential eye injuries, baffling fees, and negotiations worthy of a military strategist... Swiss Chalet is absolutely for you. If you're looking for a relaxing fondue dinner? Run.

The gondola is cool because we had our own speak to play whatever we pleased! It felt very private and intimate which I really enjoyed. I loved the decor throughout the restaurant and our gondola had cute little touches as well. For example they had a coo coo clock that when off every hour. For drinks I tried their feuerzangenbowle and the muled wine. My husband got a Hugo spritz and jagertee. I loved my drinks the feuerzangenbowle uses flambé which was so cool!, it's pretty similar to the muled wine. Muled wine is always a favorite of mine when the weather gets cold! Our server was awesome and super attentive. He answered any questions we had and was very friendly. The gondolas have a set menu we ended up ordering more that was on the set menu since I wanted fondue and my husband wanted the raclette. We added on a fondue, ordered the raclette that came on our fixed menu and added on steak, along with the pretzel that comes as an appetizer. The food was really good, I think it is also just so cozy and suiting for the cold weather! Fondue and raclette are also just such a fun way to dine! Highly recommend and definitely will be back just to try the standard experience too without the gondola.

The feuerzangenbowle is a fun, warm drink with mulled wine and they will light the rum-soaked sugar cube. Slightly limited on options if you don't eat pork but you will find something like the salad with chicken schnitzel to get your schnitzel fix. The spätzle that came with the pork schnitzel was amazing. This was a fun place to come and on our next trip to Vail would like to try the apple strudel dessert that I did not have room for this time.

It's not a bargain meal, but it's not nearly as expensive as it could be, being tucked into Vail and visited by a very wealthy cadre of visitors. The service was also great. I commented on one of the waitstaff's steampunk goggles and he asked if I wanted to try them on for a photo op. I declined, but laughed at the invitation. All our questions were answered with politeness and ease, and I was quickly taken care of when I asked to buy a slice of cake on the way out. The amount of fondue was absolutely paltry, especially given it was supposed to serve two people and cost $80. We had a nearly full basket of bread remaining after eating all the cheese. They also provided boiled potatoes and blanched vegetables to dip in the cheese along with dried fruit but that only made the meager cheese situation worse. It was more appetizer sized and even the fondue itself was bland and lackluster with no flavors of kirsch, wine, or other seasonings. We had to go somewhere else to actually get dinner. I appreciate the waiter discounting our meal to try and make up for it. The portions of the other entrees looked good so maybe go here for those and skip the fondue.
