This is in the Luonshead area of Vail. Good selection of gelato. I got the 3 flavors to try a mix of ube, mint chocolate, and milk and cookies. It's good but not as creamy and tasty as some other gelato shops I've been. Also they pretty much just slapped on the gelato so absolutely no presentation. Price was good for 3 flavors. A really cute coffee, pastry and gelato shop. They also offer crepes and bagels and a few breakfast dishes. I dropped in early one morning before skiing for a coffee and a bagel and was very satisfied with both items. It's right in Lionshead, but a little out of sight. I don't think it's more than 200 feet from the lift though, which makes it a perfect spot to stop for a nosh on your way to the slopes! read more

My family used to love Rimini for a light breakfast stop. However, over the fast few years it has deteriorated substantially. I thought there was hope when I ordered their Oatmeal Brûlée this morning but I then watched them put instant oats in the microwave, sprinkle on caramelized sugar crumbs, with a few banana and strawberry slices. I am not a fan of Starbucks, but I should have gone there instead, as this oatmeal was so bad I threw it away. And, my Americano was weaker than regular coffee. Located right across The Blue Moose pizza, at the arabelle in lionshead, this place has amazing gelato and a hot chocolate to die for! Place is not that big but the food packs a delicious punch. It's a bakery and a gelato place that serves coffee, wine, hot chocolate and also has some food items like, sweet or savory crepes. One of the sweet crepes had brownies, chocolate chips and chocolate syrup with a dollop of whipped cream. The hot chocolate was made with heavy cream and had a caramel taste to it, which gave it a different flavor. We always come back for gelato when we come to Vail, but now, we will have to come back for their hot chocolate: soo good! read more

While walking around Lionshead Village, I spotted Rimini Gelato. After a long day, gelato seemed like a great way to treat ourselves so boyfriend and I walked in. My attention was on all of the beautiful gelato on display while the crepe menu caught his attention. I got two flavors of gelato and a hot chocolate. He got a sweet crepe. We found a spot outside to enjoy the scenery and to enjoy our treats. The hot chocolate and gelato were just okay while the crepe was underwhelming. Rimini Gelato is a cute spot, but it is overpriced for the quality and quantity that you get. You get a nice experience though. I am not going to remember where I got gelato from, but I am going to remember a relaxing moment in Vail at least. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is the location, hours it is open, and how beautiful it is. If you are craving gelato, then prepared to be disappointed. The mint gelato tastes like mouth wash and the vanilla is watery. Two small jars costs 25 dollars which is highway robbery because it is only like two scoops in each. I also got an affogato with vanilla ice cream which was a few shots of espresso in a kiddy cup with a little gelato for around 9 dollars. We stopped in one morning for a cappuccino when we noticed all the gelato. We planned to come back that even for dessert. The cappuccino was not good--espresso was burn and milk was over frothed. When we returned that evening for dessert we were underwhelmed with the experience. We ended up getting a single scoop of lemon sorbet and a cannoli. I was a little surprised when they rang us out at nearly $20 for those two items. The single scoop (it was pretty small) was $9. The sorbet was OK. The cannoli was a little better. Great selection of ice cream for after skiing and we enjoyed everything they had to offer

Even when it's 20 degrees outside, sometimes all you want is gelato! Rimini's gelato hit the spot when the craving hit today! It can be hard to find this store in Lionshead Village but it's located next to the ice skating rink. What stood out to me was the beautiful decorations for each flavor of gelato in the display case. The store clerk was very helpful and quickly helped us with sampling flavors (even though the store limits to two flavor samples per customer). I sampled the flavors coconut cake and mint chocolate chip but found that the coconut cake was rather bland. I opted for mint chocolate chip in a cone and couldn't be happier. The chocolate chips were perfectly creamy and fit perfectly with the gelato. I'll definitely come back here again to try some more of the gelato flavors no matter what the temperature outside! read more

Few good things about this place. Pretty interior and great for sitting and people watching. The gelato is pretty good. I was skeptical though because it looked a little "crusty", in the case. The Nutella flavor gelato was rich and flavorful. The Affagato I had was fair. The Affagatos I've had before allow you to pour the espresso over the gelato, at your own discretion, so you can savor the gelato as much as the espresso. By the time I could enjoy the gelato, it was melted. The espresso was a little bitter today, too. That was disappointing. Let's talk service: Service was unfriendly. I think four words were said to us the entire time by both employees. Rude, almost. Thank goodness the outside seating allowed for a pleasant time. read more
