I read up on the history of this place and was pleased to find out that all grapes come from the Okanogan Valley, and the winery is completely local. They make small batches and the product is just so good. They work with the local co-op of fruit folks called Golddiggers (hah!) and it is really a community affair. This is probably the nicest fixture on all of Main St. (Or really for most of highway 97!) Need a cork container? They have you covered. Aerator? Check. Cheese plate with cheese knife? Oh yes!

As the sun set, and our names (sadly) weren't called for prizes, we were happy we'd made the trek from downtown (don't worry, it's only about a 5 minute walk) to end the evening in style. They have turned it into a working farm and host u-pick flowers and apples in the spring/summer, pumpkin patch in the fall, they have local fruits in the summer and tulip bulbs occasionally. The location offers a view of Roses Lake which is a nice change of scenery as the other wineries in the area focus on Lake Chelan which is also amazing but variety is appreciated. If you visit, try a tasting of their wine or non-alcoholic cider, grab some cheese, crackers and other eats from their public pantry, pick a few flowers, get educated on how they have sheep that keep weeds under control and maybe pick a few apples before you leave.
