3rd visit as of today. When I arrived to drop up off my year old pup she was not happy because he had some matted hair! I am not a groomer so that is why I pay for my baby to get groomed today was the worst he's looked ever! after being "groomed "She charged me 10 extra and did not take extra care to make sure his face was cleaned up and cut nicely! Perhaps because I asked her to be extra cautious because the last time they groomed him there was a small but concerning/nic on his private area that was red. I asked why the extra charge all you do is use clippers to remove the matting she said it's because she needs to buy blades more frequently okay! However doing a lousy job is uncalled for she left the hair on his face chopped up and crooked so if you decide to take your pet here make sure they are already groomed prior to taking them here for a grooming!!!! Never going back to pay for this type of very unprofessional service!! I even gave her a 10$ tip !! that was prior to noticing how bad the grooming was today!!! it doesn't even rate 1 star read more

This place has new ownership from years ago. They butchered my dog to the tune of $50 dollars. He is a small brachycephalic dog. They need their whiskers to help them see: you cut them clear off. You went so close in his armpits: they bled for 24hrs. You nicked his cheek and did an awful job with the cut: size varies it looks like a child cut his fur with sharp clippers. Sadly, you went so close to his private part that we have to put ointment on so he can use the bathroom. I called you and text you about this. You said you wouldn't charge my card for the butchering of my dog--- YOU DID. I get that you offered me a "free" cut and wash "next time" as well--- but you must be out of your mind if you think I would subject my dog to this torture again. I cannot believe you still proceeded to charge my card when you said you wouldn't. We use to bring all the dogs, and for years. We came before under this new management and have had issues every time but usually you can fix them. However this takes the cake. If I could give negative stars I would. My poor dog. I will post pictures as soon as I get them off my other phone so other consumers may see this mess!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED ANIMALS HERE!!! read more

Initial visits were good, very kind and seemingly caring. Today I encountered the groomers spouse while dropping off my dog. When I tried to point out some opportunity areas, he became hostile, aggravated and defensive of his wife's work. Instead of listening to a paying customer, he attempted to blame poor haircuts on "genetics"; quite hilarious really. Poor business practice for sure. read more

Had an appt today for my dog daisy the staff there was very friendly, and listened to the type of cut I wanted and didn't just do whatever. The environment and location was great, I'm very pleased with daisy's hair cut and cute accessory bows. She looks and smells great! Definitely will be going back! read more

We took our two pugs in for their first grooming since moving to ABQ, this place definitely lives up to its name! The dogs were bathed, nails & glands handled, and we promptly got a call when they were ready to be picked up. Thanks for doing a great job...we will be back! read more

We've had 2 Wheatens groomed by Gina. She has been patient with each of them over the years and she grooms as we request, depending on season. read more

Love how beautiful and happy my dog is when I pick her up! Been going here for a year. Went to another shop on strong recommendation from friend, then came right back here. They never schedule more dogs than they can handle, so they always take their time. May take you some time to get an appointment so call well in advance. read more

This place rocks! The owner was really sweet and professional. You can tell she has a passion for dog grooming. My Irish setter can be a little neurotic about the whole grooming experience so I am always a little nervous about leaving her someplace new. I felt a great energy from the place right away and Lily seemed very comfortable. They don't lock up the dogs so she was able to hang out comfortably till it was her turn. When I came to pick her up she greeted me at the door. She looked so happy I was instantly relieved. Secondly she looked so beautiful! She has lots of hair and had quite a bit of matting they took care of it and it was very affordable for the work that went into it! I will definitely be bringing her back! Thank you rockstar!!!! read more

I can't say enough. Good things about Rockstar grooming. I have a little 4 pound Maltese. Who has been shaken up by most groomers. However when I started bringing my dog there he fell in love with the people there. The first time I took him there he shook as he did when I take him to any other groomer however, now he loves going there and he loves the way he's treated. These people are kind and patient. And treat their pets wonderful. They consider our pets theirs. This is such a professional yet down home comfortable loving. pet grooming business. You can leave your Cat there and be assured that you not only will get the best service and the best grooming but that you will have the best care given to your pet while they're there. read more

Great groomer, reasonably priced, very professional. She really knows her breeds and how to make any dog feel very comfortable and look absolutely beautiful! She is very flexible and willing to take last minute appoints as well as Sunday appointments. Thank you so much, you did a great job! read more

Great service and so compassionate about their clients. I definitely recommend them to take care of your dog for their next hair cut. They did a meet and greet at first, so the dog can get an idea of what to expect and took care of her as if she were one of their own. So, definitely check them out!! They will show your pet such loving care that your animal will enjoy going to the groomers. They deserve more than 5 stars, in my opinion. read more

I had an appointment to have my dog groomed for Saturday at 12:00. Was told it would take an hour or two. Went back at 2:00 and he was still not ready and was told it would be another 30 minutes or so because they had just got him out of the bath. I Questioned why it was taking so long when he had an appt and I was told because there were a lot of dogs before him?? He was finally ready at 2:30. 2 1/2 hours with a set appt??I specifically requested a trim and was surprised to see he had a very very short cut. Not what I requested. When I mentioned it to the owner she had an attitude and said she had to cut his hair short because he was matted. I brushed him well before dropping him off and know he was not matted She showed me hair that was matted and I was not convinced it was his. Her answer was she would not charged me for removing the matted hair. I will not be taking him back there again! read more

My fur baby Heidi had never been to a Salon before and Bobbi with her staff took such good care of her. Heidi was so happy and jumping around. I love the way you love our fur babies and the care you give them. Thank you so much and I will see you all again. read more

I hate this place under the new ownership. They kennel the dogs in small cages, take several at a time, and I paid an outrageous amount for what was some light trimming and a bath. They didn't even get out all of the small mats that I pointed out to them. I miss Michelle and her caring, professional nature. It's no longer the gentle, anxiety-free, comfortable shop it once was. It is now a standard chopshop groomer. read more

Bobbi is amazing ! I have 2 dogs who don't like their feet touched and at the vets they have warning stickers. Bobbi and her "crew" are so good at trimming their nails the dogs don't even mind going there. Plus they smell so good after their baths I love it. read more

Michelle and her hubby Csaba are one of the friendliest, kindest people with lots of "doggy knowledge". I took all my 4 babies to them, a Doberman, a Labrador, a Chihuahua and a Poodle. The little ones didn't have any problem staying there however, my two bigger kids freaked out, they both have separation anxiety. Yes, yes my fearless dobi was shivering like a leaf. But not for long. Michelle and Csaba started talking to them, playing with them and within minutes my babies felt much more comfortable and relaxed. Oh did I mention that this was their very first time at a groomer? I left my doggies there and when they were done Michelle texted me a picture about them letting me know they were fine and the picture showed they were taking a nap. When I went to pick them up my dogs were so beautiful and clean, they looked like they were spayed with an expensive oil. No they weren't, they just got that sparkling clean look from all the wonderful, natural shampoos and conditioners Michelle is using in her grooming saloon. She even got my doberman's nails done, which, I thought was absolutely impossible. I have no idea how but she did it. Michelle darling you must be a magician, a fairy or an angel. Thank you for being so caring, loving, understanding, patient and kind with our 4 legged kids. You are the bestest! read more

They're the only ones who can handle my very cantankerous chihuahua. He's never in the best of moods so you can imagine how hellish he is getting his nails trimmed. We've actually had people refuse to do it. Plus, he's a lazy little fatty so his nails never grind down from him running and get long fast. He has to go twice as often as my other dog and I'm sure the groomers would prefer it was the other way around but they greet us with a smile each time. Just like rockstars. read more

Rock Star Grooming is awesome. We have a labradoodle. She was very matted. They groomed her, brushed her teeth, trimmer her nails and did the anal gland thing. The dog was happy when we picked her up and looked fabulous! I was amazed at the costed. Totally affordable! Our vet would have charged more than twice what we paid. Great groomer! Great service. Friendly! Affordable!! They just became our new groomer! Check them out! read more

I can say with no bias at all that Michelle and her company are the best grooming service I've found in the state. She's really approachable about ideas and loves her work and does it with style and lots of love. If you are looking to not second guess yourself with your little loved one, bring them to Rockstar. The rest of them cannot compare! J & M read more

Took my two stinky dogs last minute to have them bathed and nails trimmed. Got a decent price for the two and it even included future follow/up appt! I just picked up my Standard Apricot Poodle from Rockstar... This was the first time we've been here so with some trepidation we left our toy poodle, Charlie, in the groomer's arms. When we returned he was happy and he looked fabulous! In fact, this is the best haircut he's ever had. We like the "Teddy Bear" cut on him and she made his little face look adorable. Rockstar Grooming is not conveniently located for us but it doesn't matter because they are worth the drive. read more

I was very disappointed with the new owners. They did not finish my pets hair cut and she had a cut under her next, and was not brushed out. She is a very small dog weighs about 4 lbs. I loved the prior owner Michelle and was also very loving to my dog. I will never take my pet back to them. read more

ad the worst experience the other day after my puppy got groomed. I called Saturday morning hoping to get my Shitzhu in for a grooming. Thankfully they had a cancellation and were able to take him at 1:30!! All went well and got him back around 4: 45pm. When we got home, we noticed he was shaking his head a lot and scratching his ear (He had not done this previously). I called the next morning (Sunday) to see if they had noticed anything. They were closed, Sunday and Monday. I left a message and received a call back from a man on Tuesday. He told me that they had noticed that my puppy had ear infections. My exact words were "oh, ok. So are you not obligated to let me know when there is an issue with my dog"? He immediately go defensive asking why I was getting 'loud' with him and asking why I was getting 'sideways' with him. Telling me that he's not my man and going on and on. Mind you, I was using a normal tone the entire time. I did at one point as him if he was drunk. When I asked if he was the owner, he asked if I was threatening him. I said no and again asked for the owner. That's when Bobbie came on the line and said that she apologized for not telling me about my dog. She said it was overlooked and proceeded to give me remedies for helping my dog out at home. I am giving a single star because of the disrespect of their employees. I have never in my life ever been talked to in this manner and I can assume nothing will be done due to the fact that Bobbie was very nonchalant about the whole ordeal with her employee. read more

Thank you guys so much for what you have done over the years for our family animals. It has been four years now since our last dog passed away. I still remember walking in your doors of the old store and my mom asking for a piece of his hair. After that night you guys called us and asked how we were doing. All I know is my family is very grateful of what the staff and facility can do and has done. THANK YOU GUYS VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!! read more

I've taken my dogs (all 5 of them) to this place for years to have their nails clipped. $50 every time I go (plus a tip). I called to ask information about draining anal glands, and the owner (male) seemed irritated that he had to explain how anal glands had to be drained. I asked how it would be done, and he went into full explanation on how it all starts. I just wanted to know how they drain them. I asked to speak to the owner, and he replied, "I am the owner". I told him, "he seemed irritated and aggressive while speaking to me". I explained how I've taken my dogs there for years, and he replied, "I'm sorry I can't make you happy, have a nice day". And hung up the phone. Good going guy. You just kissed my business out the door. BYE!!!!!!!! (Suggestion.... maybe someone else with patience needs to answer the phone from now on) read more

My dog groomer for two years while in ABQ. They really love and care about the dogs. My rescue can be jittery and scares easily. Rockstar took their time and did not have her go through additional stress. They even gave her extra sugar scrubs and care for when her skin allergies flared up. Wish I could have had them move with me. read more

Michelle is a wonderful groomer. My standard poodle was a mess (field dog) and had refused to walk in to our previous grooming salon - broke my heart! So, I set out to find a "calm" place and found Rockstar Groomer Michelle. She and her husband make a great team and consciously create a trusting environment for their clientele. THANKS! We'll be back often - not just because the prices are really fair, but because she is focused and caring. read more
