My dog came home looking amazing, perfectly trimmed, clean, and smelling great without that overwhelming "chemical" scent some places use. They paid attention to the little details like the paws, ears, and face, which really made a difference. What stood out most was how calm and happy my dog seemed afterward. Duke city doggery has gone downhill. I've been taking my dog there for the past 3 years. This last…read morevisit was a bust. I always ask for a schnauzer cut for Max & have always been charged the small dog fee. Surprisingly, they charged me for a Medium dog this last visit, and Max is still 18lbs. The groomer Kelly left streaks where Max had been shaven, he was left with uneven strands, very noticable on ears and tail. Now he has a razorback.(see pics). I asked to speak to the manager/owner, they said she would call me back. Unprofessionally I had a response via text stating that Max is a medium dog, therefore was charged the medium rate and to take him back for Kelly to fix the cut. I didn't want that same person cutting Max's hair. If you want your dog to have a good cut, I'd think twice before taking your fur baby to Duke City Doggery on Louisiana NE. If anyone has a recommendation for a good, honest groomer that does schnauzer cuts, please let me know.

I have an American Akita and he started out handsome but very particular so I can't imagine how patient they had to be to groom him. His grooming takes 3-4 hours and the hair, omg there aren't words for how much hair these dogs have. I brought my boy home once and he was itchy and I called them and without problem they re bathed him (they had tried a new shedding shampoo on him but his skin didn't like it) it was free and they got him in fast. Also I have called and they were booked out really far and I asked for the cancellation list and the next week he was in and groomed. I'll post pictures here of the different times and how great they have done. I love this business! It is also by my car wash place so while he is getting a bath I detail my car and go to Costco. Lol The pricing is perfect for me and the amount of work he requires is more than I could handle on my own and he is enormous in size. I am grateful for this business and the employees super respectful as well.

They have a little stand by the door & a wall behind the front desk so your unable to see where the actual grooming takes place. But she honestly looked the same from when I dropped her off to when I picked her up. She still had gunk on her eyes, her breath smelled the same & her teeth didn't look much cleaner, they clipped her nails but didn't file the edges so her nails were super sharp, I actually had to call after to ask if they even bathed her because she didn't smell clean, they said they use scent free shampoo but it seriously looked like they only brushed out her tail. For a $35 grooming we won't be back :/
