I can't recommend this dog groomer enough. From the moment we walked in, it was clear they truly care about the dogs they work with. The staff was patient, kind, and took the time to make sure my pup felt comfortable before getting started. The grooming itself was excellent. My dog came home looking amazing, perfectly trimmed, clean, and smelling great without that overwhelming "chemical" scent some places use. They paid attention to the little details like the paws, ears, and face, which really made a difference. What stood out most was how calm and happy my dog seemed afterward. That alone tells me they treat the animals with care and respect. - not saying that lightly, my pug HATES his nails and hands touched but they held them fine haha Professional, friendly, and talented. I was initially very happy with the quality of the first couple grooms my dog received at this store, but each time I have gone there, the people seemed more and more unhappy, there is tension in the air, and the man who is the owner or manager exudes some free-floating anger that makes me nervous. I am super friendly and cheerful whenever I go into a business, especially one I frequent regularly, but no matter how friendly and cheery I was, I was met with glum faces for each of my little dog's monthly appointments. I chalked it up to the difficulties of this era of Covid and continued taking my dog there, despite reservations. Unfortunately, the last two grooms were barely adequate. Shampoo seemed not to be rinsed out properly. One foot was left a bit dirty. Some of the fur was still wet. It was a rush job, but I reminded myself that I am grateful to be getting a discount rate and I should not make a fuss, so I said nothing. After last month's appointment, when I arrived to pick up my dog, there was a pile of poop just inside the door, in the middle of the aisle, in front of the check-in desk. I mentioned it to a couple people, and in the approximate 8 minutes I waited for my dog, no one made a move to clean it up, despite several people coming in and out of the room. I guessed they may say they were too busy to clean it up, but this isn't the kind of thing that I would leave for more than a minute, if I was a business owner. They handed me my dog, and I tried to talk to them about making an appointment for the next time, but I could not get anyone's attention. They were busily moving around, and after asking twice and being ignored, I decided to wait and call them later. The atmosphere in there was so tense, I could not wait to get out of there, frankly. When I got my dog into the car, I noticed right away that his mood was off. He seemed unhappy. The area over one eye was slightly swollen. A couple days later, he started pooping all over the house and it took some time to get that under control. This is an entirely new development for him, so I took him to the veterinarian right away, and she concluded that it was stress-induced. Something bothered him at the grooming appointment. Given all this, I decided not to go back to that groomer and did not call them to make an appointment. In fact, I am going to groom him myself for the time being. Today, to my surprise, I got an email notice reminding me of an appointment I did NOT make, so I called them and the man asserted that I had made the appointment the last time I was there, which is definitely NOT true. If someone had not made an appointment for me without consulting me and then tried to pretend that I had done it, I would not have spent the effort to make this change to my previous good review, because It seems very pushy, to me, and I don't like that. I feel sorry that I can't recommend this place any longer, which is too bad, because the first few times I went, the groom was pretty good, and they were willing to work with me on price. read more

My rebuttal to the owner of BBB, Tania S: Tania, the owner of BBB responded to my post saying, "wow, the over embellishments and incomplete information in this review are astounding." I would like to ask, who is Tania S? FTR, I spoke to the male owner, Chad, and the groomer, no one else, when I picked up my dogs. How is Tania able to respond when she wasn't around? Furthermore, she says that there were only 8 dogs that were there to be checked in, of which two were mine. That's a big fat lie! I cannot believe she said this when the male boss even told me on the phone when I changed the appointment that there were 18 dogs and it was quite chaotic, lets assign another groomer for you and schedule you in the afternoon when it's less chaotic. I also have a witness who will attest what happened there that morning. When I first called looking for a groomer I asked if they scissor cut, why would I schedule an appointment if you they had said razor cut? Why is Tania trying to back pedal by giving me the site to lookup how SCWTs are supposed to be groomed. Well, I looked that up and BBB flunked! They looked nothing like what's on that website, they were hacked! Another lie: Tania said when I called on May 18th, I made the person almost cry because of the manner in which I was talking to them. FTR, I never raised my voice, I kept it even throughout when she had no clue how to answer me, she connected me with Chad who raised his voice at me, she needs to pay attention to who is doing the yelling. On the day of their second appointment I was trying to get across what I wanted. I was not complaining very loudly, lie number 3, I was talking in a medium toned voice, it was Chad who raised his voice, again. Yes, the price was an issue because I paid $264.00 the first time for their hack job, why would I pay that amount for a bath and a light touch up? That is when I finally realized why the heck would I want to do business here. I started for the door and said, "I will be writing a review." Tania's response is riddled with lies. Unbelievable! If people are looking to get their dogs groomed here, I hope they take the time to read all the reviews, the reviews will corroborate mine. read more

I brought my 6 month old corgi, Gidget, in for her very first grooming appointment and was so SO happy when she came out! First and foremost I loved that they immediately told me that they would "go at her pace". As a puppy owner that is such a good thing to hear. It is nerve wracking to put your dog in a situation they've never been before. So if was so so nice hearing that they would work with her to be sure she wasn't overwhelmed. Gidget got a complete deshedding treatment which has helped with the shedding a lot. Of course there's still some but what else can you expect with a corgi Her coat was so soft leaving the salon and has still held up days after. What I loved most was that Gidget wasn't the best behaved when it came to getting her nails done. Instead of making me feel bad about it, BB&B gave me ideas and tools to try to get my puppy used to the sensation of getting her nails done. So happy I made the decision to come here.n read more

I use to take my 3 Yorkie there years ago; past 2 years zive only Bern pleased 1-2 times. 12/17 my Maltese mix female was groomed by professional groomer in TX. Four weeks later I have female groomer tell my partner my dog was matted everywhere. REALLY? They had him sign a matting waiver, no one called me from the groomer. I get home after work and my dogs fur was butchered, not an even cut anywhere. I swear the female groomer used craft scirrors. I wouldn't recommend this groomer to my enemy. We absolutely love BB&B! We have been taking our Piper to them since we got her. They do an amazing job and always do exactly what we asked. Piper is happy to go for her spa day and just as happy when I pick her up. We had several groomers groom Piper and they've all done a great job. They work with you regarding scheduling as well as being such friendly folks. During COVID-19we have already taken Piper there twice and each time they have followed the guidelines to the tee. 7/14/19 - I uploaded a picture of my dog's coat 9 weeks after the grooming appointment. My dog's head is at the top of the picture. You can see how the hair near his front and back legs is longer than the hair in between. The hair in between looks like it was trimmed closer to his body. You can see the long hairs where his coat is trying to grow back. When I left the studio, I was frustrated because I wasn't getting anywhere, and I stopped trying to discuss it. That's not the same thing as being happy. She's right about one thing - I am angry. My dog had a beautiful coat. They damaged it, and they won't acknowledge it and apologize. I'm so glad I brought my dog here! I've never had her groomed before and was pretty nervous. However, this place was super professional while also being completely chill so I felt really comfortable when I left her here to be cleaned. They also were done pretty much to the minute when they had said she would be, so that was greatly appreciated. I had no idea a dog could smell so clean! My dog is shiny, even more beautiful than before and well groomed all over. Her claws were trimmed and filed well, her teeth brushed and her ears all swabbed nicely. The shedding treatment has been amazing, my house and car are so much cleaner now. Although this place runs just slightly more expensive than big-box pet store groomers, I have to say it is 1000% worth it. Aside from the horror stories about dogs being killed at other groomers, BB&B just had good vibes and my doggo was comfortable when we walked in and seemed stoked to go back into the grooming area. She definitely had missed me when I picked her up, but she was overall happy and fairly relaxed. The best dog groomer ever. Whenever I had work in Albuquerque, I'd end up staying for several months. I'd bring my 35 lb. ShihTzu mix in, and BBB quickly became the 'go to' place for my dog. They never overcut, they never undercut. They took their time, the dog never came out stressed. By far, they were the best groomer we'd ever been to anywhere. Sadly, he passed away at the old age of 15. Now, I'm back in town for several months, and I've been looking forward to bringing our new dog in. I'm normally a home bather of my dog, Charlie, mostly because he hates hair dryers. I had tried to take him to a different groomer when he was a puppy but they complained to me about how he was scared the whole time he was being dried. However, I was going to visit family with Charlie in tow and wanted him to be super clean and relatively shed-free for a few days so I started doing my research on best dog groomers. Enter: Bath Brush and Beyond. The staff here was amazing, they were so friendly and able to give me advice on what kind of treatment to go with, as well as how to behave before and after the treatment so he'd be as happy and relaxed as possible. When it came time for me to leave him, Charlie was super calm with his handler and had his tail wagging as they led him back. A few hours later, I came to pick him up and he was just as relaxed and calm (but now much softer and cleaner) as when I'd left him. The staff let me know that he did great which was a huge relief and just proves that dogs really do pick up on their environment. Do yourself (and your pupper) a favor and come here. read more

We used to think Bath Brush & Beyond (BB&B) was a quality groomer until yesterday. Prior to yesterday, BB&B provided good grooming services and they would put cute bows on our mini Australian Shepherd and a tie on our toy Australian Shepherd. Yesterday, BB&B didn't put bows or a tie on our Aussies. When I brought our Aussies home right after their BB&B grooming appointment, our toy Aussie was acting strange. When we checked him out, we found a small rope tied around his small intestine. The rope was surgically inserted into his poor little stomach and tied around his little belly. We called our vet and removed the tie immediately. (I'd attach pics of the incision but they're too graphic.) After we addressed the injury, I called BB&B to ask about the situation. They claim to not know anything about it. BB&B were the only people who had our dogs other than us yesterday. Our dogs are members of our family. We would NEVER hurt our dogs or any animals. Do not go to BB&B if you want your pets to be safe. We won't go back there and our network will hear about the animal cruelty that our toy Aussie experienced at BB&B. read more

Had used Jack Rascals for years for Bolt but when Demi left did go to BBB on recommendations... This was the first time I have taken my little Corgi here so I was a little sceptic. I was definitely blown away at the job they did. I own a fluffy corgi so he had a lot of hair on him. They trimmed him up to look like a regular Corgi. He looked amazing. He smelled so good and his teeth were very white. He wasn't scared there and was comfortable with the groomers. I tried Bath Brush and Beyond for the first time and am satisfied. They seemed very knowledgeable about skin allergies and had some good suggestions to help my golden-doodle. It was quite a bit more expensive than I had expected though, and the price isn't set until after the wash/cut. Their price depends on how well your pet behaves and the time required, which is totally understandable. Yogi got a new client "make-over" and they gave him a micro bubble treatment (which I didn't tell them to do) which was $30. My total was $144.05 + tip (I didn't expect tipping for a dog haircut, but I'm a rookie at this). Anyway, the place was great, but it was a little rich for me. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely lady who groomed my baby Eevee. She did such a great job and she was so sweet to her. I love when a groomer actually loves on your dog as if it were their very own. Not only that, they were able to get me in last minute because I don't know how to plan ahead. Ever. What a great experience! Little Lucy has never been so happy after the groomers! The groomers are very professional and very attentive to any injuries that your dog may have to try and make their experience as stress free as possible. I do live in the Nob Hill area, although the drive is worth it! They also don't have kennels for the dogs while they wait, they have a nice little area with dog beds, which as a dog mother gives me comfort. Horrible experience. I have taken my dog there a number of times and I get the same cut every time. This time my dog was just shaved down short. So I basically paid 80 dollars for something I could have done at home for free. Even worse when I nicely asked what happened the man told me it was my fault for not telling them what to do. I guess " just like last time" means they are going to take an hour to crudely shave my dog. Either way as someone who is also in the service industry you do not immediately tell the client it's their fault n offer nothing for compensation for the mis-communication, even a simple SORRY! I thought this place was one of the best but the lack of professionalism and down right rudeness I will never go back. Save your money and do not go here. read more
