When we first started taking our dogs several years ago to Beck'n Call our dogs were well cared for. Things over the last year or so have changed. We board our dogs, multiple nights, several times a year. The last three visits turned out to be a different story. The first time one of dogs came back with several bites on the face including an eye that required a Vet visit. They blamed it on our dogs sleeping together. Our dogs have always slept together and never an incident. The next time they lost part of the food we took for out dogs to have. The dogs were fed an incomplete meal three of the seven days. We take great joy in watching our dogs on the Webcam but one camera has been out for months and it happens to be the one where they spend most of the time. This last time we arrived to pick our dogs up late in the day, because we had bought multiple nights it would be charged and we had no problem with that - we just wanted to have the dogs home with us. We were told we needed to pay a day boarding rate. The manager was completely non workable on the issue and I requested to talk to the owner. The manager informed us we would not be able to have our dogs cared by them. We finally were allowed to take dogs and informed us the owner would contact us. She did call the next day to inform us that she would take the extra day fee from our prepayment and return the balance of funds on hold. Ok, not sure if I will take my dogs there again! So 2 years ago we took our blue heeler there since we had to travel overseas. We received a call the day before we picked her up that she had a little incident but the vet checked her out and she was fine. Well, when we picked her up we noticed she had a bite on her back. We kind of left it alone. When we took her ho e she was totally afraid of her pillow. The pillow she always slept on so we had to get rid of it. Not sure what happened. Well our beloved Lady passed away last year. We have 2 dogs now and we had to go out of state for 2 days. We took the to Beck and Call and also noticed that the place was very dirty, but we did not have any other choice. We checked the webcam in the evening and it always told us that it was not available. Which made me a bit uneasy. When we picked them up we were told there was something wrong with one of our dogs eye and they put some drops in them. We never received a call, the ey was swollen and her entire eyeball was blood red. That did not look to me like allergies. The. We were told that our other dog did not so so good and they had to keep her separate, even though I asked them to call me if their were any issues. I had a very weird feeling about some of the staff members and believe some of them don't treat those dogs very well. It is very strange to me that at night the cameras are not available. I will not take my dogs there again. I think something else happened to them. They were very withdrawn and not themselves for about 5 days. I do not recommend this place. It is way overpriced for the condition and it is very unsanitary. I rather pay more somewhere else but know my dogs are safe and taken care of. read more

I Love Beck N Call! I have been using them for about 6 years now and have had nothing but positive experiences with them. I adopted a rescue who was afraid of everyone when we first got her. I began bringing her to Beck N Call on a regular basis and it has been amazing to watch her go from frightened of everyone, to letting people pet her within a short time of meeting them. She has become a much more confident dog and I truly believe that is because she is loved and treated well during boarding and daycare. Before Covid, I used to travel for work quite a bit and always used them for boarding. My dog is always excited when we pull into the driveway of Beck N Call and can't seem to wait to get in with the other dogs to play. The ONLY change I'd like to see is more webcams and around the clock webcams. I don't see any reason not to let me check on my fur baby whenever I want. read more

I really wanted to love this place for my 2 year old husky, however, after boarding him here for 10 days over the holidays I will opt for an in home pet sitter instead. I was not able to see him on any of the cameras when we were abroad; when I inquired, I was informed he "was on the deck" where they do not have cameras. He was down for 2 days after picking him up with significant red stains on his under carriage, possibly from staining from red clay rocks or dirty wet clay on the premise. I was told he would be "tired" when he slept for several days with significant eye discharge we took him to our vet who said he hat significant viral exposure which is to be expected with facilities such as Beck and call exposure level, similar to a dog park 24/7-he had a few nicks on his nose possibly from scuffling with other dogs that are supposedly vetted, which we did prior to his visit, however, there may not be oversight at this facility. read more

Love love love Beck and Call. I wish I'd found them sooner. I really love the staff who seem to legitimately care about the animals they watch over. I always get a report on how he did and it's clear they've watched the dogs interact and know personalities. Dog-alities?! I've used the grooming, daycare, and boarding services. Friendly staff, webcams that allow you to spy on your dog on their website during the day! Whenever we go out of town, we always go to Beck'n Call for doggy daycare and sleepovers. It's fairly priced and they also have other services (i.e. nail clipping, grooming, etc.). They have playrooms inside and out and can wander around their gated facility until it's dinner and bedtime. They allow you to bring your own food, which is nice because switching formulas without gradually transitioning them to the new food can cause tummy/digestive problems. Our dog loves coming here and is always tuckered out when she comes home, which is great for mom and dad! We're happy to know that there's a place we can take our little one when we're away and won't have to worry about anything. read more

Our dog (Dixie) is a 15 year old Beagle/Terrier mix and doesn't usually take well to strangers; however, from the photos they sent us of their time with Dixie (3 separate days/walks), she really seemed to like Bryce. Where is the 3.5 star button? I have a a female eclectus parrot that is flighted and needs special care--not an easy task. During a trip I had, Beck and Call took on the adventure. The assignee did not have experience with birds, but was willing to learn and stopped by one day to get acquainted. The first day was rough, which anyone can tell you is to be expected with a female eclectus. The next day the text messages showed an evolving friendship. I was happy with the care of my bird. I did have to call several times to get my key back, but when they realized there had been a delay it was delivered to my concierge. I felt I was being strung along but maybe I should have led with this: On one occasion I picked up my dog and she was VERY lethargic for the rest of the day. Every year I plan trips out of town & every year I choose this company to come into my home & tend to our various critters! For a nominal fee I typically have them visit every other day...including visits for my fish (turning lights off/on & feeding), making sure the parakeets have water they seem to drink faster than is possible for their tiny stature. I also have them clean the hedgehog's running wheel, which it itself is really quite a job, as well as feeding/watering him. I usually have the dog stay with friends, but have heard so many rave reviews about their daycare for dogs, I just might give it a go & socialize via total immersion 'lil Fido! The pet sitter does an initial consultation which includes notes and very detailed questions to make sure your pets are still around upon your return! I took my dogs for a trial of doggy day camp to test it out for a long stay while I'm on vacation in a few months. Immediately my first impression was that it was very dirty. I explained to them that my youngest dog had not done anything like this so I wasn't sure how she would do. I went home and watched on the web cam and was disappointed. Lucy was scared and clearly wanted a little attention from the worker in her play area and the lady completely ignored her. The workers look like they're being tortured, just walk around with spray bottles, and wear pajamas. So if you don't love being around dogs and want to play with and pet them, then you may want a new job. I picked them up after two hours because I could tell they were not enjoying it. They also charged me for their required trial play day, which most places do not do. It is also a little pricey for such a dirty place. read more

Walked into dogs screaming, when an employee finally came to the front, she grabbed my dog's leash, decided she needed to something else first and dropped her heavy leash right on the floor narrowly missing her head. I highly recommend Beck'n Call for dog day care and boarding! I took my Aussie Terrier here a few times this summer when I needed to travel and everything was perfect. On his first day, he gave me a sad/scared look as I was leaving but Jared took the time to hang out with him in the private side yard until he was comfortable enough to go in the playroom with the other dogs. I checked on him at lunch via the webcams and by then he was happily sniffing and running around with his new friends. The next time I took him here, he was pulling on the leash trying to run for the front door as soon as we got out of the car! I shopped around online before choosing this place and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The webcams let you check on your pet, they let you bring your own food and toys for boarding, and they have separate playrooms for small/big dogs. The dogs are also free to wander inside and outside because each room has its own outdoor area. Beck/n Call isn't the cheapest option but I think the price is very fair for what you get (i.e. cage-free supervised play all day!), and they are cheaper than some of the other options in town. I will definitely bring my dog back here next time he needs a place to stay while I'm away! read more

This is my dog Jack's favorite place to have a play date or to stay while dad's away. We've tried other boarding facilities in town before finding Beck 'n Call. None of the places Jack seemed to enjoy like Beck 'n Call. We had tried another (highly rated) place- in the valley, but he didn't want to go in the door the second or third time, so we stopped going. When we get to Beck'n Call, Jack can't wait to get out of the car! He knows exactly where to go to start playing with the other dogs, and he can't get there fast enough. When he comes home from a daycare visit, he is "played out," so tired. We want him to be tired, exhausted in fact. This tells me he's had a full day of fun! He always seems happy and never stressed when I pick him up, whether he's there for the day or a week. read more

This is such a fabulous place for my dog. She can't wait to "break down" that door and get in to see her friends and have the best of days. Truth be told because when we pull into the parking lot, the whining starts and desperation to get to Beck'n Call's front door. I love that extras are available like the Kong Treat and really great Grooming. I thank this company so much for making this a home away from home. We LOVE this company. We've used them for over a year and a half now. We don't do their doggie daycare, but we do have two cats that we have them come to pet sit for us. They clean up after the cats, they leave little reports about their progress, and once when my apartment had shut our water off (without telling us!) our petsitter went to even investigate at the main office and called us with the info about what was going on. It hasn't been the same petsitter every time since the beginning, but each one has proved their attentiveness in their own ways. Also, calling and getting appointments set up and paid for is just easy-peasy and effortless, every time. Don't know what we'd do without them! We trust them to the max. read more
