10/10 sushi experience. We did the deep sea omakase and we were blown away with the freshness and flavor of the fish. Each bite was amazing and i can't even put into words how great not only the fish was but the sushi rice. 10/10 for everything. And the yuzu ice at the end. Wow. No better way to finish off the best omakase to date. The service was outstanding as well. Very sweet people and very knowledgeable about everything that is being served. MUST TRY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

tried the rockpool omakase! included miso soup and 16 pieces of sushi. i like the halibut sushi and tuna set the best. i wish the chefs were more interactive with us or at least described the dish they prepared instead of the hostess. also i normally prefer bar seating to see the chefs making each piece but you don't get that omakase experince here. FYI you need to book reservations as this place can get busy. but overall cute date spot!

Great place for reasonable omakase prices! The omakase itself was good and the service was nice. the place is intimate and you need to make reservations before you come. I recommend getting a set and it would run you maybe $60-$100

Rockpool is a rocking sushi joint. We had the Deep Sea omakase which was great for the price and quality. Service is great and staff are very friendly. Decor is simple and nice. My only complaint is menu is very limited on type of fish they serve. Definitely going back.

Rockpool was formerly Yasu. It still under Yasu, but with a much lower price point, which is a great news for the city of Beverly Hills. I went to the soft opening. Their omakase has decent quality. It focuses on using local fish in California. That's good for those who are avoiding fish from Japan. Grand opening is tomorrow 8/1. They have 3 tiers of Omakase: Sea Breeze $34, Rockpool $46, and Deep Sea $58. I ordered Deep Sea and did 2 more add-ons. Their green tea is $3. 16% service fee will be automatically added to bill. Parking is a street meters. I will come back again!

Excellent sushi. Affordable omakase with a ton of variety and at a great price. Service was great. Beautiful ambiance. Small and cozy, but somehow enough space between tables to not be uncomfortable. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent lunch special. Came in because a friend mentioned it to me. Had a good lunch set and all the pieces were high quality.

All the chicken they use in every dish was just so darn plump and flavorful. Excellent quality all around. My friend and I shared the chicken karage which was huge, plump pieces in a crisp deep frying. How that stayed so crisp and fresh for a delivery is beyond me but I absolutely loved it. We also had the chicken gyoza which they give a nice char on the outside from being pan fried. I liked this difference from other places but aside from the frying, it was fairly standard. Get the karage if you want a side item! Now the ramens are just fabulously rich and creamy in their chicken paitan white broth that goes so nicely with the proteins for a clean but slightly savory taste. Their broth is so light and airy, they give you special instructions for reheating to recreate the emulsion type of effects they use. That's such a nice touch! Their noodles are more wheat-forward and thin than other places but once you accept that, you can lean into the difference nicely. The Lemon Butter had great flavor with just the slightest bit of acidity giving a bit more dimensions to the flavor. Absolutely loved Torisoba Tonsho and can't wait to come back to try more of the menu! It's right across the Largo if you are going for dinner & a show. :)

At 6pm, we were only 1 of 2 parties; by 7:30pm, all the inside & outdoor patio tables were filled except for a couple. A large party made the indoor atmosphere pretty loud, but after they left it was easy to have audible conversation. Several people came in to pick up to go orders while we were there. Service was really warm, food came out so fast & everything was DELISH: Beef bowl - marbled beef cooked w/onions on rice. So tender & flavorful! Spicy tuna bowl - spicy tuna over rice, with a wasabi ponzu sauce. Yum! Albacore hand roll - fresh & buttery Eel hand roll - melt in your mouth delicious We were there early so it was easy to find parking at a meter. I can see why they get such consistently great reviews! I'll be back to try their yummy looking udon dishes. Highly recommend!!

I ordered a diet coke, two orders of the eel sushi (each order comes with only two pieces!). I didn't feel four pieces of eel sushi was good value for $16. The hand rolls were $6 a piece which were smaller than the average hand rolls. The eel had great flavor, but the spicy tuna was off. Oh how I wish I didn't have to walk through the kitchen to get to the restrooms. I didn't enjoy seeing the behind the scenes of it all. And the bathrooms need to be cleaned better, especially around the base of the toilets. They smelled awful. I hate to say this, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

After a long horrible Monday I had no energy to deal with bad energy. I knew I arrived a little too soon and needed to wait. I walked in and sat down, the waitress asked if i was picking an online order and just over all took care of me from the utensils to the amount of ginger i needed. After that they handed me my order and i was out that door to sit in my car and enjoy my sushi before the 1 hour + traffic . I was praying for it to be really good sushi! And let me tell you it was fresh ! And very very enjoyable! Really good sushi ! And as an LA native it's hard to find good sushi places with good quality! Will be coming back! 10/10

We already had good street parking nearby, so we just walked over. Because it's on Fairfax near Melrose, parking definitely depends on the time and day -- it can get tricky in this area. We didn't notice any signs for parking in the back, so street parking might be your best bet. Food: We ordered three items, and everything we tried was solid, but the standout for us was the creamy ramen. We shared a bowl, but honestly, I would've happily eaten a whole one by myself if I had known how good it was. The prices were pretty reasonable for the area, and portion sizes felt fair. Service: The staff was friendly. Service was smooth, and our food came out in good time. Overall: A nice casual spot for sushi and ramen in the Fairfax/Melrose area. Good food, friendly service, and decent prices. I'd definitely come back, especially for that ramen.
