Absolute worst service I have ever experienced. There is NO street bike parking. So yelp info is wrong. When we came with a bike there was no place to park it and the manager was of no use. She didn't care and wasn't accommodating in any way. The girl that did my pani-medi was still in the training phase so everything she did was checked. She completed my manicure then when I checked it there was gaps all around my cuticle area. Someone else then took the polish off and repainted it. I was there for ages with such terrible service. The pedicure I was so excited to have was a failure also. I didn't get a good foot scrub or a massage. For the first time I didn't tip anyone. Awful. I don't recommend coming here as quality is poor. Lack of customer service and skills make this a no go place for me in the future which is a shame as it's super close to where I live. Oh well! I'm not wasting my money there again :( read more

I've come here twice and both times they've turned me away because they say they're too busy but they have chairs open... I just don't get it. I sat unattended for an hour and barely greeted before I was "motioned" to sit in a pedicure chair. The massage chair was non operational. Sadly I spent over $45 for a NO chip pedicure and my feet are still dry and cracked! When I attempted to kindly ask one of the nail techs if she could re-file my feet, she told me that it was an additional charge to use a nail file! Most pedicures even include a minimal massage of the feet or legs with lotion.. Not this place! Really? What pedicure doesn't include filing? I even tip very nicely in the past, I am very diasappointed! This place is overpriced and the pedicure service is poor. I would not recommend. read more

This salon is hit or miss, but mostly miss. I've been here a few times and all but one I've either had to wait forever for my service or when I finally got my service it took FOR-E-VER. My recent visit they took me immediately and started to remove my no chip, but they didn't come back to actually start on my nails for another hour!!! At a different service, my no chip took almost 2 hours, that's way too long, and it was not the best no chip. They were not even crowded....who has time to wait that long?? The environment is great. The young guy who did my pedicure was very nice and did an excellent job. However, the rude young pregnant lady that did my nails needs to be fired!! She acts like a thug. I would never return to be demeaned like that again. At this point I blame the OWNER. How many more reviews do you need with everyone complaining about your RUDE STAFF!! You are complicit and lack leadership skills if you do not make the necessary changes at this point. It's sad that you do not realize the massive possibility for income that is possible for you in this prime location. Your staff send your money back out the door daily with NO REMORSE, REASONING OR APOLOGY while your chairs sit empty. There is a pattern here and until you fix it your reviews will continue to suffer and you will continue to lose money. I WANTED DESPERATELY to love this shop because it's clean and in the neighborhood. I'm sooooooo disappointed!!! DETAILS OF MY EXPERIENCE: I live in the neighborhood and needed a manicure prior to leaving for Cancun. I phoned and asked if they receive walk ins for a mani and pedi. I was told yes. I was literally parked outside so I came in immediately and received a FANTASTIC pedicure from the young man. As I was in the seat peacefully enjoying my pedicure the young lady previously referred to, walked over to me and said unapologetically, "We don't have time for a manicure, we can only give you a nail polish change." I accepted the offer of a nail polish change even though my nails were not polished at the time. Had I known prior to the start of services that I would not get a full manicure I would have gone elsewhere. At that point I didn't have more time to waste as I had a fully scheduled day. She proceeded to polish my nails while I was getting my pedicure without covering my lap. I had to twist my body to the left to accommodate her because she didn't come to the other side to polish my right hand. I messed up one nail as I was shifting and polish got on my pants. She fixed it with a NASTY IMPATIENT ATTITUDE. I told her the twisted position was difficult. She didn't apologize nor accommodate. After she finished she went and got a medium sized white FAN that you purchase at Walmart and sat it in the empty salon chair on my left side and pointed it towards me. Yes...this was AFTER I had already complained about being twisted in the chair. No blue light dryer in my lap on a pad. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I was in so much pain sitting in that position until I finally just left prior to my nails being dry. My nails TOTALLY ruined and smushed. At checkout I again told her how I was unhappy about the service. She NEVER EVER ONCE apologized or showed any sign of remorse. RUDE! When I arrived in Cancun the following day to officiate a wedding, I went to the spa and paid to have my nails done so not to ruin the bride's photos. The Resort Spa treated me with respect and dignity and I tipped them well and thanked them for their service. Any shop located where you are located should understand the needs and standards of the residents in our area. You need more than wine. If you cannot create the customer service climate to accommodate this type of clientele, then relocate where this behavior may be acceptable...although I don't know of a location on this planet!! read more

This place is by appointment only which is fine but they don't take anything after 5. Their phone customer experience is extremely lacking as well. When I ask if there are any opening the receptionist in a very dry way responds no and ends the conversation. This has happened more than 5 times so I have given up. I feel that perhaps this salon doesn't get the due it deserves. First of all, I've been coming here since it opened. After some initial growing pains, I settled into the routine that has served me fantastically so far. I can vouch for their no chip manicures and their regular pedicures--they are the best in the city, hands down. Their prices are lower than most salons, and they are comfortable, clean and convenient. Make an appointment, people. The owner, Natalie has always been warm and welcoming to me...on the phone and in-person. She's does fantastic work but I have to sing the praises of Rose. She is diligent, gentle and meticulous. I've never had someone who takes as much pride in her work. She never rushes and also puts time into making sure the foundation of your nails are as strong as they can be...which is my gripe with a few other salons, they rip, gouge and weaken your nails with their no chip removal...just as a note, Rose will also work to repair the damage inflicted by other lesser technicians. I always call before I come in, and they are always super flexible offering me multiple times. Also they have great pricing for a no chip polish change, as opposed to doing a full manicure as well. They've got my business and if you give either Natalie or Rose (request them when you make an appointment) a chance, they'll have yours as well. read more

Got the $35 mani-pedi after work on a Thursday. Good experience. Definitely make an appointment, as there were only 2 people working. A few people came in off the street while I was there and they were told there was about a 45 minute wait. My manicurist was great and super friendly. Prices were on target for the area and service. I've had a couple of pedicures here now, and I love the place! It is a really cute salon, and they're ready for me as soon as I walk in! Another half star for having wine! Some places seem to rush you through, especially on busy Saturdays (which is typically when my appointments are). I get a no chip French pedicure, which is time consuming, but they still really do a thorough job. They also have really umm, intense massage chairs; I can totally cancel my Swedish deep tissue massage now. I went here today and had awful experience. I called 2 days before and made an appointment for myself and friend for mani/pedi. When we arrived they welcomed us in, however, 20 minutes later when it was clear we wouldn't be served at our appointment time, one of the employees told us our names were not on the books for today, but tomorrow. First of all, I don't believe nor understand this error. Secondly, the woman who told us about the error clearly wanted us to leave. She was unwelcoming and made it clear that she wanted us to leave and not wait for a tech to be available. In addition, she was rude. I was very excited to try this salon but I will not return. If I could give them zero stars I would. My first time going was right when they open and I thought they were just figuring out the kinks since I had terrible customer service. Meaning that during my manicure they switched me to three different technicians. There was terrible and energy in the joint but I thought for sure it would get better. Then today was the topper. I went in for a mani and pedi but they told me they had time for. After soaking my feet for a couple of minutes the technician took off my big toenail polish and then someone walked over to tell me that they didn't have time anymore. In the meantime, they told me that the colors I chose was $10 extra even though they were with all the other selections. Who does that? DO NOT GO HERE. I wanted to try out this place as it is literally right by our condo. However, being close is not worth it at all. My mani/pedi took almost two hours. Also, I am used to the gal/guy that does your pedi, then does your mani. Not the case here. After my pedi, I then sat and waited another 30 minutes for someone to start my mani. Not acceptable when you have an appointment. They need to hire more people. Also, the color selection is not great. As I was getting my pedi she asked if I wanted my foot calluses scrubbed. I said of course. As all my Pedi's always come with that. That is the whole point. She then charged my an extra $10 for that service. I got a no chip manicure and pedicure done here last week and the manager took care of me. I asked for a specific color that was light tan color and she proceeded by putting on a pink nude color. When I asked her if that was the correct color I picked out she said it was and that it would eventually change color. When I asked her when the color would change, she rudely answered she does not know. I shouldn't have trusted her because soon after I left the salon my nails were turning a yellowish color. Seems like she used old nail polish on me because it was a very ugly color. My manicure also did not last more than a week and chipped right off. I have had Rose before who is a great nail technician, but I don't think I will ever return here again even though it is conveniently located near my home. The manager definitely has a major attitude problem and is not accommodating at all. During my manicure she rudely answered the phone and sent out personal text messages! I have never been to a salon that had such an unprofessional and rude receptionist! My friend and I made 6:30 appt after work for two pedis and I was getting a mani as well. I arrived at 6:15 and asked to get my mani done first while waiting for my friend who was held up at work. The receptionist was such a bitch! Lecturing me and my friend on being late, they had other appts, giving me dirty looks! I was never so uncomfortable in my life and I was the one paying for service! My friend came at 7 and they refused to do her nails even though no one else was there and they had free technicians sitting around. Appalled and never going back. The only professional person there was Rose who did my nails and I almost felt bad for her because she was very uncomfortable too and tried to offer us wine to defuse the situation. The owner was friendly and the decor was cute. They are still working out their "new salon" kinks though. First, they need to lock the door and add a bell in that spot. Secondly, their timing was off. It took us two full hours for just one service. Pedicures were OK but very basic unless you want to pay extra for any pampering. Some people left when we were there due to being off schedule. There is hope though - I think this salon will improve when they get a set esthetician team in place and get more comfortable with their space and schedule. read more

Went here for when I needed my eyebrows done and wanted to try a place not on the south side of Chicago! So I was in the area and tried it out! 15 dollar service but SO worth it! The stylist did such a good job of cleaning up my messy and outgrown eyebrows while still staying true to my original shape. She did a nice even trim on my brows as well! At this salon they use the wax that hardens on the skin and pulls off like a wax strip. I feel that this method helps get the smallest hairs! Job well done and worth the money! read more

I just left this establishment with my baby toe BLEEDING and being YELLED at by the male staff associate. I typically come to this business every two weeks for a manicure and pedicure and Natalie does a great job and is very personable. I entered today on a Saturday and was serviced by a male who did a HURTFUL and HORRIBLE job on my pedicure. To elaborate: The ENTIRE pedicure lasted 21 minutes from start to finish. He clipped my nails SOOOO short (I did not ask for short, I said TRIM) and I jerked in the chair because it hurt so bad. He did NOT shape my nails so after clipping, they were lopsided. He quickly threw on 2 coats of my own polish (Essie, Fall 2015 so it was NOT old) and was done. I wish I could show photos of how HORRIBLE my feet look. I wish I could show the BLOOD from the underside of my nail because he cut it SO SHORT. BLOOD!!!!! I decided against getting my manicure and calmly said I didn't like the pedicure, it was not how Natalie did them and he started YELLING AT ME that he was a professional. Natalie offered to fix it or have Sue (other employee) fix it but I declined. He was YELLING across the WHOLE ESTABLISHMENT at me. I was embarrassed and left.
