Rockfish caught my eye while we did a tour of Martha's Vineyard. We finished the tour at Oak Bluff then took the free bus to Edgartown. Rockfish is about a 5 minute walk from where the bus stop is in Edgar town. We four (4) were immediately seated in the bar area. Our server was very welcoming and gracious. Our cocktails and beers were great but the stars were the food especially the risotto balls and Cobb salad. The risotto balls were fantastic ....extremely flavorful. I think these are a "Must Have" at Rockfish. If you're in the mood for something healthier then their Cobb salad is an excellent choice. A great place esp if you're looking for something on the laid back quieter side in Edgar town.

Okay, so I definitely tried and adored Rockfish while on the island. Aside from a sandy mussel, dinner was delicious. We had mussels, arancini, burata and my friend devoured a bowl of chowder. The ambiance is bougie and special. The staff were a delight, too. I'd highly recommend for a nice dinner.

Wow--Rockfish is an absolute gem in the heart of Martha's Vineyard! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm, attentive service that made us feel right at home. The ambiance is coastal-chic with rustic touches--beautiful lighting, cozy seating, and a great vibe that blends upscale with laid-back island charm. We were seating in a cozy table upstairs with a beautiful window view. Now, onto the food: the lobster rolls are next level. Perfectly buttered and toasted buns packed with fresh, sweet lobster--simple, generous, and delicious. The clam chowder was creamy without being too heavy, with just the right balance of briny clams and savory herbs. I also tried the tomato bisque, and it was velvety, rich, and bursting with fresh flavor--definitely one of the best I've had. The calamari was delicious with a perfect crispy batter that wasn't too heavy and very well seasoned. Everything came out hot and beautifully presented, and the staff checked in often enough to make sure we had everything we needed, without ever hovering. If you're visiting the Vineyard, Rockfish is a must. Whether you're looking for a relaxed dinner or a standout seafood experience, this place delivers.

Didn't need to wait on a Saturday for lunch and they have a bar and two level seating right off Main Street. Ordered the Tuscan wings which were dry rub and slightly overcooked but not bad. The cod was a highlight especially the crust and placing it on top of the string bean salad. Amazing dish. Crab cakes were good in size and not too salty.

I really like this place. It's a bit tight inside and at times you may need to wait for a table. I'm not really sure how it works but we got one for two fairly quickly. Large group seems to have to wait even on a Monday night. The food was well proportioned similar prices, other places on the island And the bar was extremely large. Probably takes up about half of the space if you consider a large one downstairs and a large one upstairs, then make great cocktails, but the food was fresh and appetizing we got serve fairly quickly, was in and out in less than an hour. They use toast for payment and bring it to your table so things are quick and easy.

We had a couple of hours for lunch in Edgartown having arrived by car ferry as part of our organized motor coach tour of the New England fall foliage tour. On our lobster roll quest we stopped at a restaurant where they posted out of lobster rolls. Now what. It's shoulder season and many establishments are closed for the season. We walked up the block and noticed Rockfish. Lucky for us they were opened. The five of us were led upstairs to the dining room/bar. Right away we spotted lobster rolls on the menu. Our server said good choice as they're known for the best lobster rolls. Hubby wanted mussels. He suggested he & I split a lobster roll and the mussels. The mussels were served in a nice kettle with four wedges of buttered toast. Very fresh. Then he split the lobster roll. It was delicious. So sweet. I wished I had my own. The lobster meat was very delicate compared to the ones we had in Boston & Plymouth. If you're contemplating having a lobster roll here you can't go wrong. We had a great server. She was very professional and very friendly.

Nice place to grab a bite, drink, or both. I also understand they are one of the few restaurants to stay open year round. We popped in for a late lunch. We ordered the truffle fries 4.5/5, seared cod tacos 3/5, and fish and chips 4.5/5. The service is good. The atmosphere is modern pub.

By far the best lobster rolls I've ever had!! Both the butter one and the mayonnaise one were delicious!! And the AMOUNT OF LOBSTER in these rolls, are you serious right now!?? Get out of town!! I would take the ferry everyday to get this if I could!! You need to try it!! The vibe was also really chill and it was more of a nice dinning experience rather than I seafood shake so that was awesome too! You have to try it!!

    Lobster Rolls! So yummy...

Food was excellent. High recommend the lobster rolls. Clam chowder was so delicious! Restaurant is cozy. Sat on the second floor. Table next to window. Waitress was courteous. Restroom was clean.

Cobb salad, sauteed(buttered) lobster roll. Both were outstanding.

First trip to the Vinyard and decided to stop here for lunch as wife noticed "jumbo" lobster roll on menu posted outside(always appreciate places who do that). Good looking place and we got seated quickly and service started soon afterwards, wife ordered Cobb Salad no bleu cheese and I got the sautéed(buttered) lobster roll and chowder. Wife liked her salad and lobster roll was outstanding, they really piled on the meat and chowder was also really good. Plenty of options in Etown to eat but hard to imagine any better than Rockfish, highly recommend.

Phenomenal quality and flavorful dishes! The poke nachos had very fresh fish and the nachos were light and crunchy. Adding wasabi mayo amplified the flavors. Tomatoes and avocado gave it a light touch to the dish. The lobster roll was phenomenal, it had really fresh lobster stacked to the top. Rockfish overloaded the well toasted roll with lobster which I really appreciate. The fries were alright, not the best but the roll made up for it. Overall, the restaurant was a bit pricey but the large portions and flavorful dishes made up for it. The ambiance was lively and open and the staff were kind and efficient. I would recommend going here with your friends on a fancier night out or with your siblings to treat them to!

Got here just in time ! Shops and restaurants are starting to open up for the season so we had the island all to ourselves. Although It was a bit nippy, we enjoyed the sunshine during our walks through the sleepy towns - spotted Rockfish and because I was craving a lobster roll - in we came ! The roll was delicious, my husband's fish and chips crunchy and flavorful- our gracious server was HCristina (think I spelled that right) from Serbia and she was just charming and fabulous! Great meal and wonderful service!

Normally this place is booked solid when we visit the Vineyard, but around 8 AM we decided to take a chance -- and luck was on our side. We walked right in and grabbed a seat. I wasn't really hungry, but when you have a chance to eat where past presidents, foreign dignitaries, and celebrities dine, you don't pass that up. I went with the avocado toast, topped with toasted everything seasoning, heirloom tomatoes, shallots, and two eggs on multigrain toast. The verdict: it was very tasty. That everything seasoning hits different -- I need to find out where they get theirs. My only small critique is that I would have liked the bread slices just a little thinner, but that's more about me cutting back on carbs than them doing anything wrong. I'll definitely have to return during drinking hours to try their signature Shark's Attack cocktail. Rating: Solid breakfast spot. Worth the hype. I eat, I judge. The fork stops with me.

A Culinary Gem That Outshines Even the View - Bettini at Harbor View Hotel…read more Bettini at the Harbor View Hotel is one of those rare places where the food, service, and setting harmonize so perfectly that you almost forget which one impressed you first. Yes, the view of Edgartown Harbor is breathtaking -- the kind that glows in the golden light of Martha's Vineyard -- but here, it's the food that truly steals the show. Under the remarkable leadership of Executive Chef Juan Martinez and Sous Chef Momo Camara, every plate is crafted with soul and precision. The scallop crudo was a masterpiece of restraint -- impossibly fresh, delicate, kissed with just the right acidity to let the sea speak for itself. The lobster bucatini came next, beautifully balanced with a subtle kick that added warmth without overwhelming the sweet richness of the lobster. And then, the beef carpaccio -- paper-thin, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavor in every bite. Service was flawless from start to finish. Our bartender Taylor made the most beautiful hot cocoa for my daughter -- just the right temperature, velvety, and not too hot -- proof of the team's thoughtful attention to detail. Andrei, our server, was both attentive and genuinely funny, effortlessly remembering each of my kids' names after our very first dinner. That kind of personal touch transforms a meal into a memory. Bettini isn't just a hotel restaurant -- it's a culinary destination in its own right. Whether you come for the harbor views, the impeccable service, or the artistry on your plate, you'll leave knowing you've just experienced something special.
