For appetizers we shared the baby gem salad and the pork bolognese. Both good but the pork bolognese was a small but mighty star. Pasta was perfectly al dente and we really enjoyed the goat cheese with the pork. For our mains we ordered the pork chop, halibut and mushroom lasagna. The portions were large and we were all satisfied with our orders (though the pork chop was quite salty). Enjoyed this enough that I would for sure come back.

How do you NOT start your meal with Oysters Rockefeller when they are on the menu? Great choice, they were creamy and delicious. Without question, Rockfish is the hidden gem of Edgartown. We have been coming to the island for over 20 years and have never visited this restaurant. For whatever reason, we had always dined at The Atlantic, L'Etoile, Alchemy, Chesca's and The Shanty. Because of crazy Covid restrictions we ended up having dinner outside at Rockfish. Well, we have sold ourselves short on every visit until now. The chef is AMAZING and from what I understand has just recently taking over the head chef position. We had the pan seared scallops and rosemary encrusted swordfish. I own a seafood company so I know how frequently these two are overcooked and ruined. The chef cooked the scallops to perfection, seared beautifully on the outside and tender and sweet on the inside. The swordfish was crusted perfectly and as juicy as can be. Whoever is the saucier needs an award, bright citrus flavor and ideally salted without being overbearing, the absolute perfect balance. Anyone who hasn't taken a trip to Rockfish is doing themselves a disservice. We will be coming back and back again. And a very special "Thank You" to our server Taylor, who was fabulous and made our night beyond special. Thank you Rockfish, what an incredibly pleasant surprise! read more

I recently dined at Rockfish in Edgartown, a charming town that I thoroughly enjoy visiting. With its blend of city sophistication and beach town relaxation, Edgartown offers a delightful mix of shops, beautiful homes, and inviting restaurants. At Rockfish, we were served upstairs by a wonderful local-born server whose name escapes me, but her warmth and attentiveness made our experience even more enjoyable. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. I decided to try the lobster roll, and I have to say--it was enormous! Served on a buttery brioche bun, it was my first time having it prepared this way, and I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity and deliciousness of the dish. My guest tried the chowder, which they found to be just right--not too watery, not too thick, but perfectly balanced. Overall, Rockfish provided a satisfying dining experience, with delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere in one of my favorite towns to visit. read more
